That was strangely compelling and not of this world. At times the singer seemed to throw in a bit of Sprechgesang which is not something I associate with early music. Thanks for the trip across the centuries. :)

Dear Grey! Thanks for the lovely welcome back. :) I wasn't aware of Mussorgsky's Hut on Fowl's Legs (Baba Yaga) and enjoyed listening to it very much. My research yielded a version by Andrej Hoteev, who claims to be true to the original manuscript: https://youtu.be/siU5fLuV-AA

The perfume, which is rather good, is supposed to capture Baba Yaga, representing the act of facing one's fears and, if successfully doing so, reaping the respective reward, as depicted in the russian fables - which I still love.

I hear what you're saying, but at the same time I don't think you should judge the note based on the way it behaves in Sécrétions Magnifiques, which was created for the sole purpose of causing a commotion among fumies, IMHO. There's a milk note in SL's Jeux de peau and it's actually quite lovely. :)

I know ice cream was a bizarre answer, but saw the perfume had a milk note and I guess I was following up on the dairy angle or something. *blush*

Greysolon, thank you for your wall post and for participating in Guess That Scent again. It is so much better with more players and you have helped to reinvigorate the whole enterprise. Your clues are fab, I love the limericks and, truth be told, I've been posting a few duds lately - I dropped out for a while and my clues have sometimes miss the mark entirely.
