Epic in summer? Yeah, sure! Why not.
When I feel like it, I wear every fragrance wherever and whenever I want, regardless of whether it usually fits the situation, the season or the time of day.

I got to know Epic in the extra warm and dry summer of 18.
Although its strength, spiciness and dense darkness made it more of an autumn winter, I found it extremely exciting, especially in the summer temperatures. Sensual yes erotic.

The individual aromas developed even more intensively and multi-layered for my sensation in the warmth.
A whole range of aromas revealed themselves to my nose and before my inner eye I saw a golden round tray decorated with a hammer blow, on which there were lots of small piles of spices.
Pepper, cumin, cinnamon, vanilla, the woods and patchouli, incense, deep red rose petals, they are all on the large plate and depending on which direction you turn it, small, invisible clouds rise.
In the background smoky dark tea steams from heavy glasses, and with every moment the intensity of the individual components changes.

Epic is spicy, smoky, warm, darkly mysterious, self-confident and infinitely multi-layered
never crosses the border of the indecent or even becomes vulgar.
Unlike some of the other Amouage fragrances, you can see its quality, I find it very high quality and luxurious.

Yes at any time of the year, but still not at any time.

We're connected by a kind of love-hate relationship. There are times when I can't open its heavy shutter for months and the thought of the peppered clouds really frightens me off.
And there are days like today when I can hardly wait for the precious treasure to unfold and for me to immerse myself in all its facets

In the hot, never-ending summer of 2018, I and my husband went on a little shopping spree in an air-conditioned Swiss shopping temple.
Our way also led us to one of the perfumeries and to my surprise and joy I discovered there a number of Amouage Falcons on the shelf.
Besides Beach Hut and Ciel , Honour was also on my watchlist and without a long test with a paper strip, Honour landed directly on my left arm.
Today I don't remember which of the other fragrances I sprayed on my right arm and who I had to put on the paper strip, because the other two faded and went directly offside in comparison with Honour.
At first I did not notice anything of the coriander and pepper listed in the pyramid. I was immediately surrounded by tuberose and other flowers. I took rhubarb when freshness was, jasmine, the lily of the valley in a round composition, without which one of the flowers took over strongly, or stood out particularly.
And then leather. very soft, a light, soft leather, very discreet incense.
The whole fragrance is light, floral and spicy. Not pushy, not annoying. Just beautiful.

Yesterday came my longed-for Falcon and since we now have January and tons of snow a completely different situation than in the hot summer.
I wanted the fragrance for the coming spring summer, but of course I couldn't wait and applied it directly yesterday.
On then I grabbed my dogs and we took a long snow walk, in the snow-covered forest and over the snow-covered white fields, along a brook.
Honour matched this mood like hardly anything else. That's white in front of your eyes and white scents in your nose.
Incredibly beautiful.

Actually, I just wanted to make a statement. This would not have been fair to the scent, because the signs are not enough to write something good about it.

Nejma 6 starts pretty sweet. But right from the start, he pricks a piquing pineapple into my olfactory organ, which passes directly through my eyes and ears.
This pineapple sting really brings tears to my eyes and causes pain in my palate, I feel it so unpleasantly violent. For minutes I hardly dare to smell my crook of my arm.
But after about 15-20 minutes a fruity sweetness predominates. The sting becomes duller, thereby somewhat more bearable, but still remains for me.
The apple appears now. No crunchy green, no, a sweet juicy red apple and a creamy note, I suppose the coconut and tonka bean are responsible for that.

I can hardly imagine this scent in everyday life.

If I can't decide on some days and no perfume fits the mood or the occasion, then Gabi is the right choice for me
Certainly not spectacular. Also not exciting or even conspicuous.
But an unobtrusive companion with a feel-good factor, elegant, well-groomed, simply beautiful.
Without being annoying. Just like it does you good some days.
