Fruity-floral prelude on a fine-woody amber base
With oud I'm skeptical, because it can act on European noses but something rabid. In this fragrance, however, the note is very well incorporated and pleasant to wear.

Shortly after spraying on, I smell apricot and peach, I thought. But after a short time I realize: this is not apricot, this is osmanthus! A coveted and highly priced flower, which is accompanied by woody-green fragrance nuances in addition to the aforementioned floral-fruity apricot.

In fact, I have real osmanthus in my little lab, so I assume there is real osmanthus in this fragrance. I find it all the more surprising that this fragrance note does not appear in the fragrance pyramid.

A small imbalance follows after 5 - 10 minutes, when a phenol-like smell comes through, which probably comes from the contained woods. Once you have the phenol-like runaway behind you, the warm woods slowly show up with the fine-spicy well-dosed oud note. Well perceptible, but not overdone.

In the base then further woods and light amber, caressed by delicate apricot - which is probably produced here by synthetic fragrances - but just does not smell synthetic.

Overall, for me a successful fragrance, which (except for the imbalance in the top note) smells very balanced and is equally suitable for males and females. Good durability, later rather close to the skin.

My best mojito ever ;)
The Mojito with its sweet fruity lime and refreshing mint with a little rum has always been my favourite cocktail, although I rarely drink it. That's why I find it all the more wonderful that Roja has succeeded in capturing the characteristic scent of the mojito in a perfume.

And of course there is much more: the top note can confidently be called a citrus fruit bomb, and in the most positive sense. Super fresh and super complex! I also like the fact that the fresh notes extend far into the heart note, before the somewhat "musty" base asserts itself.

Because the moist and cheerful citrus fruit mix is accompanied by an old couch. This musty aroma is probably intended to remind us of the time-honoured halls of the Burlington shopping centre in London. At the beginning I was not sure if I should like this, but somehow it sets a nice counterpoint and makes the scent look more mature. So the dose of old couch is just acceptable.

Now for the price: 225,- for an average shelf life and silage, that is with actually too expensive for an eau de parfum, although it belongs to the more favorable Roja scents. If you are at home in the Roja world, it should be a bargain for you, but the price still scares me off.

To me, it's a fragrance that's fun. Especially in summer!

Mango / Shower / Rhubarb
When I read a book by Jean-Claude Ellena I became curious. He had written about his inspiration. The moment when he reached for a mango in an Egyptian garden and inhaled the delicious scent right after picking it.

And during the day the fragrance comes up with a wonderfully creative green mango. But you only take it in the top note. After that the fragrance remains citric-green and reminds me personally of sherbet powder, followed by a rhubarb note that lasts for a few hours.

Now neither effervescent nor rhubarb is listed in the fragrances, but grapefruit is. N Jean-Claude Ellena writes in another book that as a grapefruit note he likes to combine orange with a synthetic fragrance called Rhubofix. I suppose that's where the rhubarb note comes from.

All in all a creative fresh fragrance, with unfortunately only average shelf life. And not quite as fresh as some cologne, but still more of a summer scent.
