Summer holiday by the sea - in bottles
First of all: This comment is part of my personal research project "(Summer) Immergeher 2020". For more information and links to other fragrance comments from me, please visit my profile or my blog (https://www.parfumo.de/Benutzer/HenrikBlau/Blog/Eintrag/projekt-sommer-dumb-grab-2020). And now to the matter.

Flacon
Rounded and made of satin glass. Looks great, feels great. The plastic cap looks a bit cheap to touch. The atomizer works rather economically, which makes it easier to dose the exact amount. The spray mist is not very even, which indicates a rather low quality of the atomizer. Not dramatic. But it's a bit of a pity that the spraying pleasure is reduced for a few cents per bottle.

Durability and Sillage
I dose Light Blue Eau Intense with 4-6 sprays a little more generously than other perfumes, because I wear it mainly outdoors. At sports, in the garden, on the beach, you name it. Would describe the Sillage as good but not outstanding. People who stand or walk in a normal distance on the street next to or behind me get a strong touch of summer-feeling. Durability is also ok to good. If I sweat a lot I will add some more after 4 hours. On other days the scent lasts twice as long, but the Sillage fades after 2-3 hours.

Fragrance or fragrance progression
After spraying it on, I get a concentrated load of aquatic-citric summer freshness with actually very well defined notes of tangerine and grapefruit. Yummie! Dry woods announce themselves in the background. Within 20-30 minutes the fragrance reaches its peak: The citrus notes are fading. Musk, wood and ethereal resinous notes emerge, which give a humid and tart freshness. And somehow (probably due to calone and other synthetics) the whole thing suddenly smells like summer in the Mediterranean. Yeah, what's going on now? I almost think I can taste the sea salt. And from the hills there's a scent of juniper and rosemary (which I have to admit It does not really smell like rosemary or juniper. But through the ethereal scents "it feels like" juniper or rosemary. Quasi an olfactory illusion. If that is understandable). After 1-2 hours we arrive at the heart note. From here on, it remains woody-harsh-freshly-cool with a subliminal sweetness, which my garden-affine partner identified as "calendula" without much thought.

Conclusion
Actually summer holidays to spray! Synthetics or not, I don't care. I love it! And again extra points, because my partner also likes this scent! I can only confirm his reputation as a pure summer and leisure scent. It unfolds best in warm weather and outdoors. For cool days and in the evening a bit too fresh, too casual in the office, probably too discreet to go out. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase!

Dylan Blue - The fresher Sauvage
First of all: This comment is part of my personal research project "(Summer) Immergeher 2020". For more information and links to further fragrance comments from me, please visit my profile or my perfume-blog (https://www.parfumo.de/Benutzer/HenrikBlau/Blog/Eintrag/projekt-sommer-dumb-grab-2020). And now to the matter.

Flacon
Rectangular flacon made of dark blue glass with a kind of intimated emerald cut. Decorative plaque on the front, lid and spray head in red gold lacquered plastic with Versace-typical grea pattern and medusa head. Looks more valuable from a distance than up close. The atomizer produces a fine, even mist. For my taste, the spray angle could be a bit bigger.

Durability and Sillage
2 sprayers on the neck or back of the neck are quite enough for a working day in the office. In the first 2-3 hours the scent is not room filling but present. Outdoors it is still clearly perceptible a good arm's length away. Over the day the sillage slowly but surely decreases. Close to the skin the scent lasts for far more than 8 hours. My partner still notices it on me after 12 hours. All in all no H&S monster, but more than enough to get on the nerves of people who might not like the scent so much

Fragrance or fragrance progression
Dylan Blue starts off extremely fresh with citric-aquatic notes (clearly grapefruit, among others!) Garnished with a very subtle, flowery sweetness and a light, ethereal peppery touch. In the morning after showering I feel 10 times more freshly showered! The day can begin! After 30 minutes Ambrox is at the start and the fragrance takes a fresh woody direction. A little musk and patchouli(?) round it off pleasantly. And then there is a slightly sweet note that somehow reminds me of fabric softener with a floral scent. In the course of the next few hours, musk and ambrox become more and more present; and finally, incense also comes into play. The fragrance thus acquires an earthy, resinous-woody, masculine touch. However, it remains too fresh overall to appear somehow sombre.
If you know it, imagine Dior's "Sauvage" (edt) minus the vetiver, minus a little ambrox and pepper, minus the sticky sweetness. Instead some incense and freshly washed.

Conclusion
Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette is a great shower gel - fresh laundry - fragrance and is wearable in different situations and at different times of the day or year. A not very original but solid newcomer in the ranks of my blue evergreens, which could be interesting for many, especially in view of the price. I personally will probably not buy it again, as I like other blues better.

You gotta love ambrox and pepper.
I was standing in the store the other day and was about to buy a new bottle of the proven BdC when suddenly it came over me: "Man, try something new! It doesn't have to be something totally different. But a little change!" So Dior Sauvage edt on the right wrist, Yves Saint Laurent Y edp on the left, and first of all I had to try it on in peace. After two hours the case was clear to me. Sauvage it should be because somehow more interesting. Y the well-known BdC somehow too similar. Let's get down to business:

Flacon
I really like the design. Simple and stylish. Lies top in the hand. The magnetic cap enhances the whole m.m.n. additionally. The atomizer is also convincing: It is made of plastic, but pleasantly stiff with a relatively large spraying angle and a good range.

Durability and Sillage
Absolutely sufficient. 2-3 sprays (1 neck and 1-2 chest) get me through a morning at the office without any problems. I have the scent almost constantly in my nose. When entering the kitchenette or the elevator, the colleagues know immediately if I have been there within the last 10 minutes. Still in the late evening residues of the perfume are to be smelled very close and clearly.

Fragrance or fragrance progression
Sauvage opens with strong citrus freshness paired with warm resinous-woody notes and a little pepper and ambrox. Just awesome! After 30-60 minutes, the lighter, fresher aromas fade away and floral notes (especially geranium and lavender) emerge, which combine harmoniously with ambrox, pepper and resin and make me think of the sweet scent of old town streets with flowering trees on a warm summer night somewhere on the Mediterranean. Wooow! This way the scent lasts surprisingly long, with ambrox and pepper becoming increasingly noticeable. And sometime after about 4-5 hours the flowers have disappeared and there is only ambrox and pepper left. And even more ambrox. Pooh! On closer inspection, there are also floral and ethereal resinous notes, but these are mercilessly crushed by the pepper-ambrox mix. As a result, the fragrance now appears more one-dimensional than it actually is. Or could be. Did I say scent? By now it is more of a smell. An almost obtrusive masculine smell of Ambrox and pepper. And in between resin and something indeterminably sticky-sweet. Ufff, I think I'm getting a headache...

Conclusion
Perhaps Dior Sauvage was a bad buy. I tested the fragrance in different dosages for a few days after the purchase and then gave it up for the time being. As horny as I found the fragrance at the beginning: it just doesn't fit at all. Either not to my skin or not to my taste or not to summer. And a splash on the arm is obviously not the same as a normal daily dose. Learned something again. I think Sauvage will get a second chance with me in the autumn.
