The Clean Man
Without the hippy Youtuber in permanent pirouette and one-arm pushup mode I probably wouldn't have stumbled across this fragrance. Since other reviews and the general and of course highly esteemed Parfumo rating also looked quite promising, a blind buy had to be triggered. This is also because the fragrance cannot be found in any branch of any of the current dealers and the price of a new bottle does not exactly justify ordering a bottle

I always listen to the scent: business here, suit there and totally the Wolf of Wall-street. I don't get it. I smell here a warm light powder, which starts with a very light freshness of the apple and from the heart almost takes on gourmand notes. But in itself simply a sweet, soft fragrance, which I rather see in my private and relaxed environment. The whole thing has more to do with a clean man who doesn't want to attract further attention than with a business wolf. I myself will reach for him if I want to spare the level of his somewhat more expensive kindred spirits. I see similarities here, for example, to Dior Homme Intense, who conceived a child with Montblanc Individuel.

The shelf life is about 6 - 7 hours for me just fine. You shouldn't expect miracles from silage now. The whole thing gets very close very quickly.
Except in midsummer it is actually widely applicable for me.

Since the first rumours have been circulated that production would be discontinued and the fragrance is no longer listed on Ferragamo's homepage, you can actually access the current prices. So if you want to spare the level of the related species a little

Self-confidence to spray on
Please do not misunderstand the heading. Epic Man doesn't suddenly turn an introverted boy into a man bursting with self-confidence. But on the right days, it can have a reinforcing effect.
I can't wear it all the time myself. But it is my first choice when I need a certain appearance for a professional appointment or event. Here the scent works like an amplifier or catalyst, which emphasizes exactly the required property in me. One simply knows that the scent is perceived extremely strongly. This can polarize, and should be so. For everything else there is then the boss bottled of this world.

For me Epic is a mixture of slightly creamy and peppery incense, which has a wonderful leather base in front of it. The top note can deter the first nose, but develops on the skin after about half an hour to an hour to this addictive mix for me. The further course is actually rather linear. I don't perceive any extreme heart to base transformation. It only becomes softer and softer over time and - as I said - creamier for my nose. One should not expect any compliments from young ladies from this fragrance. The composition is simply too alien to the western noses for that.

The shelf life and silage are Amouage typical of madness. It is precisely against this background that the price also becomes relative. If you go fishing online - and wait for low prices - you can land it for 125€/100ml (Oman Version). Since 2 - 3 sprayers are enough, one has then also very long something of it.

By the way, I'm also interested in Amouage's story behind the house. Founded in the early 80s in Oman at the request of the Sultan. A gift for kings. Only pure ingredients from the region. And so on. You really have the feeling that you have some perfume history in your collection

The designer niche perfume
Since I smelled Dunhill Icon for the first time, I am convinced of this brand. Dunhill always moves a hand's width away from the mainstream and knows how to convince with high quality fragrances.
That's what happened to me again at the Century. I am therefore generally surprised by the somewhat meagre resonance that this fragrance on Parfumo has been able to experience so far. No comment yet... Seriously. That must not be, and now finds an end ;-) Here so my mustard to the fragrance.

As my title suggests, we might as well find ourselves in the environment of one of the big niche houses at Century. The fragrance has nothing to do with the current designer Ambroxan fresh legs. In the top note the bergamot freshens up the neroli wonderfully, whereby the whole thing gets a creamy / powdery undertone for me. Maybe the cardamom with the incense? Hard to say.

Strangely enough, the scent always reminds me of my USA holidays. American malls or the casinos in Las Vegas seem to spray similar scent compositions. But my short-term olfactory memory can also play a trick on me.
I would describe the fragrance process from heart to base as rather linear, with a slightly woody vibe added towards the end.
The durability on the skin is clearly above average (especially in the price range). On my jacket, the durability is almost infinite and can be seen weeks later. Silage's fine. Approx. 1.5-3 h arm length. Later you still leave behind a very nice fragrance trail.
The sprayer could have a little more power and the bottle is ... well ... times different.
Price / performance definitely a no-brainer and for me the best new release last year

For me the best Joop in a long time...
...yeah, yeah, I know. That's not necessarily hard.

In the wow, balm fir, cashmere wood, vanilla and a fruity fresh bergamot blend to create an unobtrusive wintery office fragrance. The fragrance definitely radiates something soothing, and the top note in particular is convincing during the first hour.

I can't understand the criticism that he's too sweet or artificial. The only drawback for me is the rather moderate durability and the somewhat modest silage. Here you have to apply more sprayers than you are used to from previous Joops. If you also want to have some of the scent all day long, you definitely have to spray it at noon. In the clothing again is still perceptible in the evening.

The bottle is successful and is supposed to be based on Scottish whisky bottles in its design. The gimmick with the locking ring, on the other hand, I find less successful and the spray head could also be better. In my opinion this spits something and does not really distribute the spray evenly.

Conclusion: A good, unobtrusive office fragrance for winter. Skin no completely from the stool but does not push anyone in front of the head.
