Summer Night
After my first review of Haze Blue now follows Haze Black.
First of all, it should be mentioned that Aaron could not decide between the two fragrances and therefore brought both on the market. Thus, a certain similarity is not to be dismissed out of hand. Nevertheless, each fragrance has certain peculiarities and the are thus clearly distinguishable from each other.
As may have become clear by now, I do not have the best "component nose" and can therefore not always smell out all the fragrance components and enumerate. I would say Haze Black starts a little more orangy than Haze Blue and therefore I like the prelude here also better. The orange note is reminiscent of Aaron's Blood Orange.
After the top note settles a bit, both scents are pretty similar. Only in the drydown shows the strength of Haze Black in my opinion. This is simply "nicer". Through rose and ambergris results in a pleasant sweetness, which goes hand in hand with the Haze DNA and this still gives the certain kick.
All in all, Haze Black is just a bit more complex, rounder and has a less linear course.
It should be noted that the sillage is behind that of Haze Blue.
Whether one is now worth the surcharge of Haze Blue to Haze Black, everyone must decide for themselves ..

Summer in a bottle
Since I want to write something more, here arises my second review.

First of all, I think this is the most beautiful of Aaron's bottles. The blue comes across really great.
But what does Haze Blue smell like? I would just go so far and say: summer!
Haze Blue is a fruity, fresh good mood fragrance. Grapefruit is most present here for me.
You could say that the fragrance DNA is already known. But Haze Blue is the first citrusy summer scent that doesn't give me a headache. And this despite the fact that it has a really nuclear H+S. Smell him after 24h and showers still on the wrist.
From me a clear recommendation, find him much nicer than Neon and I think that Haze Blue develops into a faithful summer companion and compliment monster ..

First niche scent and what a scent!
As the title suggests, Boss Bastard by Aaron Terence Hughes was my very first niche flacon. Before I go into the fragrance itself, I must first point out my path to Aaron:
After immersing myself more deeply in the theme of fragrance two years ago, my path has slowly but surely moved further and further towards the niche. In the beginning it was "only" enough to smell good, but more and more often the desire arose not to smell like everyone else. In the beginning, I was on Youtube with dear Jeremy, but my way led to Frag-Mental. I don't know if you know this video, but I saw a video of Frag-Mental together with Aaron. And this was the decisive video. Aaron's understanding of fragrance completely overwhelmed me. I can still see him smelling scents and then making a face and criticizing individual aroma chemicals. Of course I went to his website after the video and was shocked by the high prices.

Time jump: In the meantime, I discovered the souk function here and souked myself a 5ml sample of Boss Bastard.
I looked forward to this parcel like a little child at Christmas and opened it with just this joy. Without even taking off the cap, I could already clearly perceive the scent. And Boss Bastard just blew me away! I can't really describe it, but the scent made my heart beat faster.
In my eyes the whole thing smells like tobacco going hand in hand with honey. That's it, I can't smell any more scents.
The durability and sillage is extreme and even that completely blew me away at that time, because I never knew anything like that. If a fragrance could be smelled for 6 hours, that was great. But Boss Bastard skillfully exceeds the 12h mark and is even still perceptible on clothes for weeks. Great work Aaron!

I had actually decided not to write any comments on parfumo, because it wasn't mine at school and I didn't know exactly what to put in here. But when I noticed Boss Bastard on my skin again, I knew that I wanted to share this experience with you. If anyone should read this at all, I hope that you can get some added value out of it.
