Autumn Treasure
The bottle is very kitschy - I mean, come on: a winged fawn sitting on a pumpkin? This design is outside my idea of "normal". However, I find anything that is special more interesting, i.e. better than 0815. In terms of originality, the bottle is acceptable to me. (Apart from the design, it is about the Juice in the bottle for me.)

I received a small sample via a dear perfumer to test and what can I say? This fragrance is everything I need. This Stöffchen has me already pretty blown away, positively meant.
It's sweet, gourmand with minimal spice. It tingles ever so slightly at the beginning, probably due to the Bellini in the top notes. The scent reminds me of a fruity dessert with vanilla, so it's right up my alley. It's just the kind of scent I love. It brings me joy to start the day. I get lovely, and most importantly, honest compliments on this fragrance across the board and even though other people's opinions are secondary, I'm totally happy about them.
The longevity & sillage are decent, as it lasts a good 7 hours. It exudes something autumnal and cozy, which I'll be celebrating a lot over the next few months.

(Even though I think it's super good, I would rather test it beforehand and not buy it blind. But that's true for most fragrances) For me, who has already tested it extensively, this is a good back-up candidate to bunker down.

Lolitaland is hereby officially my new signature, replacing Rituals Fleurs de l' Himalaya after many years. My new autumn treasure pleases my husband, my environment and especially myself and that is the most important thing.

Tender, fluffy, sucré!
Juicy Couture delighted us in 2016 with another sugary-sweet version of the 2000 classic fragrance Viva La Juicy. The delicious name of this flanker is Viva La Juicy Sucré.

The sweet little cupcake is a real eye-catcher on the dressing table or on the perfume shelf. It looks as if the normal VLJ bottle has been covered with liquid icing sugar cream and set in a golden cupcake tin. What some think is silly, others think is brilliant. The bottle looks like a delicious sculpture on a cupcake scale. The person who came up with the design for this fragrance is truly a packaging genius. As a full-on sweet tooth, I can't look away here. However, the 30ml bottle is missing the white "drip", which is only present on the 50ml and the 100ml.

At the first spray, one is enchanted by the familiar, slightly tangy VLJ start by the tangerine orange. Here you know immediately that you have to do with VLJ.
Orange blossom donates a light creaminess in the heart note paired with the sweet almond cream on top. As it goes on, all the long-lasting notes like whipped cream and cocoa come in. I find that the fragrance gets more and more delicious as it progresses. This melange of notes and the vibes that this fragrance gives off are quite something, in that they form a delicate mixture that really reminds you of fruity cream cake with chocolate sprinkles.
You are overwhelmed by the dreamy sweetness that is soft and fluffy to you. I like that the scent is not just ONLY sweet, but has significantly more facets to offer, because like her big sister Viva La Juicy, Sucré is also slightly floral and fruity. In this version, the gourmand notes are fully in focus.

This is times a gourmand after my taste. The "touch too much" of edible notes is definitely there, but everything is so charmingly packaged (in the truest sense of the word, look at the bottle!) that you can not keep your hands off it.
I think this is the kind of fragrance you can really score with on a date, maybe in a nice old-fashioned cafe with luscious cakes and other fruity treats on display.
The lady I'm picturing the scent on is humorous, cute and sweet. Of course, she has a fashion-conscious style of dress, has beautiful, sleek hair, and smells fantastic. She just has that certain something without seeming arrogant.

I've read the comparison to Pink Sugar before. I can confirm no discernible similarities here, except for a few scent notes perhaps. Neither the creaminess is present in the Pink Sugar, nor is the chic and subtle sweetness from the Sucré. The Pink Sugar is much more pungent - and sorry - plump in contrast to Sucré.
A nicer alternative with great similarity is the Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande, even the fragrance name could be interpetted as an allusion.

Unfortunately, VLJ Sucré has been out of the range for some time now.... Almost as rare as a unicorn! :) You have to be a bit lucky to find a good deal at an affordable price, which is really, really mean!
Juicy Couture, if you hear me, please, please, make a reissue of this cutie!

Visit to the pâtisserie
The Zara fragrances I had so far not so on the screen. But this fragrance has totally blown me away!
I find that the bottle makes a statement despite or even because of its simplicity. I interpret the design like this: The fragrance is so magical that it doesn't need a flashy bottle to stand out in my collection.
Practical is that no frippery is attached to the bottle, so you can carry it around with a clear conscience (when traveling, in the handbag).

Now about the scent: you really feel like you're standing in front of a big mountain full of baked goodies. I have a great recipe from a cupcake baking book, where cupcakes made with light batter are topped with a fluffy lemon vanilla frosting made with Swiss buttercream. And that's exactly how this perfume smells to me.
When I close my eyes, I feel like I'm standing in a French pâtisserie. I spent a wonderful holiday on the Loire with my family in 2005. Every now and then we stopped at a pâtisserie by bike. There we treated ourselves to something sweet. Hach, that was nice.
Somehow, the scent also strongly reminds me of Kaufmann's Kindercreme for babies, which warms my heart so much. It makes me totally nostalgic, because this scent reminds me of my childhood, my parents.... My home.

I would give away some of my Viva La Jucies for this scent. And for me, this also shows that quality doesn't always have to be about price. The sillage is not bombig, but for it you smell him about 5 hours on the skin. Even longer holds the fragrance on the clothes ... More I do not need.

The Zara fragrances are often real, little treasures, I've noticed more often lately. Since I will have in the next time times an eye on it.
I got me directly a back-up of A Sweet Pastry in Paris. He is one of the best Gourmands, which I have tested so far.

A trip to the English rose garden
First of all, I have to say that I find the design insanely beautiful. The elegant gold on the back paired with the floral elements as well as the simple shape of the flacon.... Simply stylish and a corner fancier than some others from my collection.

When spraying the fragrance spreads a rich rose scent, as if you would hold a bouquet with a wide variety of roses in your hand. Clearly perceptible is thus an authentic rose as it stands in the book, but with a refined spice, which comes along a little rough. The pepper gives something "edge".
The fragrance is feminine, but is definitely not a young, lively fragrance, but it seems adult and serious. He has certain parallels to Delina Exclusif of Parfums de Marly, but is much less sweet in the top note and is also not as complex.
A certain slight sweetness is added later on. I found this development wonderful as a little pastry lover. The drydown achieves a smell of fluffy, whipped buttercream with rose aroma. This must be the "Chantilly de rose" listed as a note by the manufacturer. If you type in "Chantilly de rose" in an image search, pictures of cute little cakes and luscious tarts adorned with roses sculpted from a piping nozzle appear. Trés délicieuse!
(Sometimes I think I'd be fine in a baking forum, too, but unfortunately professional feasting is not feasible for me figure-wise, so I'd rather stick to scent.)

Since this is my first scent that is more niche, my crowd-pleaser nose perceives a certain unconventionality, but because the scent blend is so special and high-end, I'll be wearing it at my wedding in the spring when the rose bushes are blooming in May.

The scent truly takes you on a journey. When you drag your eyes, it feels like you're on vacation, taking a dreamy stroll through a Victorian rose garden. At five o'clock you meet comfortably in the white-painted pavilion and drink some tea. Light pastries with rose cream are served with the Earl Grey with a shot of milk.
(Just getting a flashback to the Bridgerton series marathon. Anyone who also watched that on Netflix might know what I mean.)

Just fabulous, this little vacation for the senses.

Fruity sorbet
First of all, the bottle is hard to beat for cuteness. I do not even know where to start: at the fluffy feather fluffy with the rose plus satin bow, the iridescent glass that looks like pure glitter icing or the (this time a little different) JC emblem that adorns the front in pale pink enamel and with small, pink rhinestones?
The bottle has what - despite (or perhaps because of) Barbie-esque overkill.

The fragrance shines in time-honored Juicy manner with fruity top notes. He has in the top and also in the heart note absolutely what of fruit sorbet, which I find great, because on the dessert train I jump as a classic sweet tooth at any time gladly on.

I may not be one hundred percent clear on the theme of this fragrance. Is it now about ice cream, sorbet, icing or is Glacé simply a wild fusion of everything? Because looking at the English-German dictionary, glacé (with French spelling) means something like "candied" or "with icing", whereas glacé in French means "frozen".

I lean more towards the sweet cold treat than the frosting. In fact, because of the vanilla that arrives later, it has a bit of a dessert feel to it. It's also a bit sweeter than the original Viva La Juicy, and the reduced floral components, which were much more present in the original, almost take it in the gourmand direction... But only almost. In the drydown it has something slightly tart, which makes a nice contrast to all the sweet components.

The fragrance is nice and good, if there were not the relatively weak durability. The fragrance evaporates completely after about 2 hours. This performance would be just about acceptable for an eau de toilette, but not for an eau de parfum! Contrary to the cool theme of the fragrance, this progression is definitely not cool. If I want something longer lasting, I rather reach for the original, Gold Couture or Noir.

I see this version of Viva La Juicy as a sweeter, iced version of the original Viva La Juicy. Somehow, to me, "she" is the bubbly little sister who is cute but doesn't show much commitment in everyday life and also has rough edges. (Oh, I've tracked down the scent equivalent of myself, how weird is that?)
In my opinion, this is one of the most interesting flankers in the Viva La Juicy lineup. I forgive the weak performance because I like the scent so much. Is ok, then just must be replenished more often.
I already know that Glacé will be one of my favorites for the spring.
