The Tagesschau: Black Collection - II
So, it's been that time again - reaching into the bottling drawer, this time an expensive one :)

On Friday I had a date with my girlfriend, we just wanted to stroll around the city and then go out for a bite to eat. So I reached for the "sweet" category because it always fits and I just felt like it.
That's when I picked up the "Black Collection - II (perfume) | Widian / AJ Arabia", which I managed to get hold of in the souk a while ago.
It wasn't the first time I'd worn it, but the first time I wore it, it was a bit underwhelming and I wasn't really convinced (that was in the movie theater a few days before)..

So, the fragrance is on, I feel really good and I'm slowly getting ready to go out. This incredibly beautiful plum scent came up again, really sweet and oriental with a plum cake association. I think that the mandarin here adds this slightly spicy-fruity note to the plum and it's all wrapped up in a wonderful vanilla
However, I have to say that I don't detect anything woody - at least not yet, sometimes you have to wear the fragrances more often to get everything out of them :)

So off I went, initially still a little "disappointed" by the performance, I just wish the DNA had a slightly stronger presence. After all, I want to smell such great DNA all the time!
"Well" I thought to myself and was just curious how I would perceive it throughout the day or late afternoon and especially how long it would last.
When we arrived in the city, I didn't comment on the scent - so I thought to myself that you can't really smell it anymore.
After a few hours, however, we went to the restaurant.

When we arrived, took off our jackets and sat down - that's when it happened.
I was suddenly sitting in such a pleasant cloud of scent that kept coming to life as soon as I moved, which just made me... yes... happy! I immediately had my memories of "Isola Blu (Parfum) / Oligarch (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" in my head (completely different direction, of course), where I had the same phenomenon. You can smell it in itself, but not strongly, rather very softly - it only reaches your nose when you move and also lights up the people nearby (at least for me - mega!).
So we sat there, we'd had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal - including a drink.
Now we finally got a reaction:
S: "Tell me, what fragrance are you wearing today?"
"That's the one I was wearing at the movies"
S: "Really? But you didn't smell it like that then" (I was wearing a turtleneck sweater then)
"I wanted to give it another chance today, otherwise I would have worn another one"
S: "Very good, I like it! It's really very comfortable. I'd like to get closer right away"

I can really only confirm this "very pleasant", for me it's actually the perfect fragrance for dates for two or when you're in a cozy group.
I assume that the fragrance is intended precisely for such purposes. Because with this fragrance you really have to get a little closer to smell it, but anyone who has already tested this fragrance will also know why you want to get closer! :)

To summarize:
A really beautiful and above all well-rounded fragrance! For me a "private fragrance" because you have to invade your privacy a bit to be able to smell this work.
A composition in which the plum is in the foreground and evokes thoughts of a plum cake, all enveloped in a wonderfully soft and warming vanilla.

For those who are looking for a fragrance that is not intrusive and certainly doesn't offend anywhere, but can be sweet.
For those moments as a couple when the world around you is allowed to stand still.
For those who want to be seduced by a fragrance.
Does any of this appeal to you? Then this is certainly a fragrance for you.

Sensual, seductive and attractive - simply beautiful.

Thank you for your time and for reading! :)

The Tagesschau: Empire
So, it's that time again!
A day at the office and another nice fragrance is tested for the day, but not for the first time!
Today it was Imperium for me, which has great parallels to "Aventus | Creed" and remains in my memory.

So I grabbed the bottle and applied the fragrance, by the way, you can easily hammer nails into the wall or hold any door open with the bottle.
Shortly after applying it, I immediately got a familiar DNA in my nose, from the aforementioned fragrance - "Aventus | Creed".
But, here with a certain twist and its own charm, it is immediately sweetish and not as citrusy-fresh as the previously mentioned fragrance. I also perceive this slightly harsh, almost smoky scent like Creed, but not as intense.
This fragrance stays in my head all day long, as the "Imperium (Extrait de Parfum) | Electimuss" has really great longevity, and it remains beautiful for the first few hours.
It's a nice mix, I would say about 70-80% the basic DNA of Creed, 10-20% sweet notes (here in the form of the beautiful vanilla + sweet saffron) and the remaining percentages give me bright, floral notes.
Accordingly, ideal for me for the transition period from winter to summer!

So I'm in the office and have actually been complimented on how good I smell - the scent trail behind me is subtle but present. So it's ideal for the office so as not to overwhelm noses ;)
The aforementioned mix actually accompanies me for most of the day, pretty much unchanged, but this present Creed-like DNA pops out here and there, which actually makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face every time.
But over time, these "spurts" diminish, the fragrance settles a little more linearly on the skin and yet remains present - only from that point on, this wonderful vanilla emerges. I agree with the one or other review or some statements here - like the vanilla from "Ani (Extrait de Parfum) | Nishane", only much softer and not as strong.
This mix, now approx. 60% "Aventus | Creed", 30% "Ani (Extrait de Parfum) | Nishane" and 10% light, floral notes (for me at least) now remains on the skin and no longer changes.

To summarize, I was a bit reluctant to wear "Imperium (Extrait de Parfum) | Electimuss" at first, but the more I wear it, the more complex it becomes and the more beautiful it becomes for me! For anyone out there looking for an actual (for me) alternative to "Aventus | Creed" !"! Because the "Imperium (Extrait de Parfum) | Electimuss" does not try to be like or the next "Aventus | Creed", but makes its own fragrance from a part of the DNA, which can be compared but only up to a certain point. This is a sweeter, less fresh-tart version with a small, but subtle, proportion of floral notes.
Really worth a test!

Many thanks for your time, should you have made it this far! :)

The Tagesschau: Perseus
The fragrance arrived in the post, but I deliberately waited to apply it as soon as I'd had a full day of it.
No sooner said than done, today was the day - off to the office with "Perseus | Parfums de Marly" !

When I applied it, I was immediately struck by a citrusy-tart, almost slightly green DNA. I was pleasantly surprised, so far so good, I thought to myself.
After a while, the whole game subsided and the fragrance was finally able to unfold a little better, for me it was suddenly a fresh and tart fragrance that was already quite in the direction of "Isola Blu (Parfum) / Oligarch (Parfum) | Roja Parfums", "Terre d'Hermès (Eau de Toilette) | Hermès" or possibly "Basso | Sospiro", but the vetiver is much more restrained here than in the fragrances mentioned.
The "Perseus | Parfums de Marly" seems to take this vetiver note, which as I said seems similar to the fragrances mentioned, and tries to envelop it in a "youthful veil" - all thanks to the citrusy and slightly woody notes. But the beautiful, familiar vetiver keeps popping up here and there from the "younger crowd" to greet you.
Why "youthful", because I keep hearing in my circle that these fragrances are more for the older generation (depending on what you want to call "older") and at the same time an image of an older gentleman pops up in your head.

I perceive this interplay of citrus and vetiver in the background unchanged over the next few hours, but something had happened towards the end of the day..
Towards the end, this freshness created by the citrus fades and what remains is this slightly green, woody interplay with the vetiver. I don't know about you, but after 10 hours I think I perceive slight parallels to "Bois Impérial | Essential Parfums" - I notice a slightly metallic vetiver and am positively surprised! :)

In summary, I can say that I generally like the fragrance. Would I buy it? I don't know, I would have to wear it more often and test it further. But there is one thing I would wish for, as I really like the DNA, it could be a bit more present! However, I could just have become a bit fragrance-blind :)

Review of the day:
Great fragrance for everyday wear, for work or for the office. You don't get offended by it, the "old vetiver" has been driven back into the 20s and then accompanies you through the day - very nice, but a little too shy for my nose (fragrance blind?).

Addendum will follow as soon as I get feedback from someone outside - the office was so empty today :D
