Modern and chic
Glamour is an upbeat and modern scent. When I bought this perfume I was somewhat influenced by the name thinking that this will be a glamorous evening scent but after wearing it a few times I can picture it more on a young model in a funky designer outfit walking on the runway to an upbeat song. This scent definitely has a modern vibe and could be worn on a casual night out with friends or to work.

The opening of this fragrance is sweet and fresh at the same time. There is also almost an herbal note from the artemisia. The scent develops into a floral bouquet, mostly hibiscus, coated in a large doze of sweetness. The composition remains linear in this sweet hibiscus state for quite some time. The sillage is quite nice on my skin. It is not overpowering but not too light. After 4 hours I end up with a skin scent of a light musk.

It is definitely a nice, modern scent to try but I recommend testing before buying. At times I absolutely love it and other times it just does not work for me. Perhaps this is due to its rather unique composition that mixes the warm, sweet floral notes with slightly cool, herbal and salty accord. I find that it works better for me in the fall and winter time and when it works, it smells chic and sophisticated.

Miracle’s sweet and fun sister
Miracle Forever has quite different personality from its predecessor, Miracle. If Miracle was an elegant lady, beautiful but reserved then Miracle Forever is a bold and flamboyant girl who loves to party and have fun. Miracle Forever is a night out scent for me but not for a formal black-tie event, classical opera or a ballroom but more for a carnival or salsa dance party. The scent is super sweet, strong, gourmand, yummy and delicious all the way. I get lots of compliments on this one.

Miracle Forever has a strong presence, like many other Dominique Ropion’s and Olivier Polge's creations. The sillage and longevity are monstrous. I think that the composition put together well and interesting enough to bring it to the top 10 of my sweet bombs collection. I like the star anise note in the opening, which brings an exciting twist to otherwise simple notes of sugar sweet berries and flowers. The heart of this fragrance is an intense, thick and super sweet floral explosion. The heliotrope is syrupy sweet (in a good way) and holds the composition nicely together. The patchouli note is noticeable right from the start and lingers in the background from the beginning till the end. Unlike in Angel, the patchouli here is well-behaved and a team player giving the chance to other components to shine. The vanilla becomes even stronger in the dry down mixing with the patchouli and amber notes.

This scent is definitely sweet flowers and patchouli bomb, so if you are not into those then this is not for you. But as I do love sweet fragrances when I am in the mood for them, I am glad I have this one in my collection. It is pleasant to wear but please use in moderation as it is potent.

Sunshine in the bottle
If you are looking for tiare or mimosa in this perfume you probably will be disappointed. I just do not think that Aqua Allegoria Tiare Mimosa does the justice to these two beautiful flowers. But nevertheless, I love this perfume.

Tiare Mimosa smells to me like a gentle essence of wildflowers captured in its honey-like form. Whenever I wear it I feel like I am bathed in sunshine and happiness. It is so comforting, cozy and warm. It is like walking through a meadow on a gorgeous summer day. This scent makes me feel happy whenever I wear it.

I love the smell of honey and somehow Tiare Mimosa managed to capture not the sweet gourmand honey but the light, tender nectar of wildflowers. I love the opening and heart notes of this scent. My only problem is that this phase does not last long. In the end the scent subsides into a light sweet musk that lingers close to the skin. It is OK but I am really in love with the honey like phase.

There are better mimosa and tiare perfumes out there but if you are looking for comforting, natural, honey-like scent then I would definitely recommend this one. The bottle is super cute too.

A trip to the florist shop
You have to love strong floral perfumes to appreciate this beauty. It is like being in the florist shop. The air is heavy with a floral mist from so many different flowers. As you move from one floral arrangement to another, different flowers become stronger in the bouquet. They entice you with their intoxicating aroma and lovely colors and shapes. Flora Bella is just like that - as the scent develops, you got to experience various floral arrangements masterfully put together. The scent is very romantic, elegant and alluring. I can imagine it as a wedding scent for an outdoor summer wedding.

After zesty opening of bergamot and mandarin, Flora Bella sets into a strong, cold and fresh bouquet of freesia, lilacs and orchids. It is a bit overpowering but nevertheless quite elegant in its icy, regal beauty. The scent gradually becomes warmer and spicier in the heart notes with frangipani, tiare, mimosa, tuberose and a touch of pepper. This warm, tropical flowers phase is softer but still quite powerful. The base notes are delicate amber and vanilla layered on light floral notes. The sillage is strong, so I suggest using this perfume lightly. It could be allergy-inducing in large quantities. The longevity is good.

Do you love being surrounded by flowers? If your answer is yes, then Flora Bella will be a nice addition to your collection.

Gourmand Woods
If the woods always smell this delicious I would run away and live in the forest as a hermit. Hanae Mori is indeed a beautiful composition with a focus on gourmand notes layered on a gorgeous and complicated wood base.

The wood notes hold this fragrance together. The HANAE MORI tester I got lists five different woods: Rosewood, Raspberry Wood, Sandalwood, Almond Wood, and Cedar Wood. This fragrance masterfully brings forward the creamy and cozy character of the woods layered with the berry, floral and vanilla-like notes. The composition definitely works nicely, though it is not shy or subtle. The berry notes in the opening are sweet and lovely (like fruit jams stored in the wooden jars). The floral heart is luscious and bright with strong floral bouquet of jasmine, peony, rose and vanilla layered on woods. The scent has great sillage and longevity. I was still able to smell the woody base 10 hours later. I do have this scent in Eau de Parfum. I haven’t tried EDT, so I cannot say if the longevity is the same.

I love to cuddle with this comfy fragrance on a cold winter night in the log cabin near a fireplace and then take long walks in the woods as vanilla, floral and berry notes dance around me in the cold winter air. What a delight!
