Romanesque church in midsummer and homemade lemonade
A few years ago, I was in beautiful Burgundy in France at the height of summer in the hottest temperatures and scorching sun. Burgundy has many wonderful old buildings to visit. Among them are many Romanesque churches in beautiful small and very old villages. As Romanesque churches only have small windows, but thick walls, they retain a pleasant coolness even in the hottest temperatures. It was simply wonderful to drive through the beautiful countryside from village to village with the windows open, to breathe in the smells of the heated nature and to stop at these wonderful old buildings again and again and enter the early Middle Ages, to be transported back in time and enchanted by old frescoes and individual features. In between or in the evening, we refreshed ourselves with fruity drinks and simply enjoyed life and the beauty of the surroundings. Admittedly, even though I never smelled freshly smoked incense in any of the churches at the time of the visit, "Zara Exclusive N°01 - Incense Sunset | Zara" reminds me immediately of those midsummer visits to the old Romanesque churches and the fruity refreshments in between.

"Zara Exclusive N°01 - Incense Sunset | Zara" offers incense reminiscent of the church paired with fruity, refreshing tangerine lemonade. The fragrance is immediately completely present, does not change and stays that way for many hours (on clothes for me 12+), but never loud, but always quiet and gently caressing your own body at a very short distance.

In order to appreciate or even like this fragrance, you clearly have to like the smell of incense swirled in churches. Liking mandarins would also definitely be a plus. In addition, you shouldn't expect any magic in terms of depth and depth. No. "Zara Exclusive N°01 - Incense Sunset | Zara" is contemplation in a bottle.

This fragrance always takes me back to Burgundy at the height of summer, its wonderful idyllic little villages with their old Romanesque churches and their devout silence, their history, their art and the welcome coolness paired with a subsequent visit to a small café, sitting outside in the shade with fresh, homemade mandarin lemonade in my hand.

Happiness in a bottle
Fleur de Cerisier is the perfect cherry blossom fragrance for me. Even though I have, of course, by no means tested all the cherry blossom fragrances in the world, I would like to leave this sentence as it stands. Why?

When I spray on Fleur de Cerisier, the fragrance is immediately there with all its notes. It is subtly fruity, very fresh and infinitely wonderfully floral, cherry blossom and gently woody. For me, all the components are perfectly interwoven. Musk, rosewood and amber sing in the background and ensure a balance so that it does not become too sweet and too fruity around the cherry blossom, despite the fruit. There is no real progression in my fragrance. And I think that's great! Because I love the fragrance from the very first second and I don't want this impression to change at all.

Spring is of course the perfect time. But after extensive experimentation in the colder seasons, I have to say: it's perfect here too. Because when I spray it on, I wake up, the sun rises, my mood lifts and I feel as if I could be in the most beautiful paradise. In fact, few fragrances evoke such strong feelings in me. Here, fragrance really equals feeling and images in my head.

The longevity for me is great. I honestly never looked at the clock, but I would guess that it is clearly perceptible for at least 4/5+ hours. Considering it's an eau de toilette, I think that's quite reasonable.

The sillage clearly seems to be there. It is always very difficult for me to name or rate it, as I am ultimately unable to judge it myself without feedback. However, since I have already been approached by those around me with enthusiastic words and questions about the fragrance, I conclude that it leaves a pleasant veil of air, which is why I rate the sillage as very good.

I would also like to add a brief comment on the shower gel to the review of the eau de toilette and I can keep this very short: The shower gel does exactly the same as the eau de toilette. However, as is typical of shower gels, it does not last long on the skin. What counts here is the experience of lathering up. The shower gel can also be used as a bath foam. And taking a bath with it is - even in the depths of winter, with the nastiest of weather - a real treat and deep relaxation with sunshine in your heart and cherry blossoms as far as the eye can see.

Spring(svibes)
I would like to take the arrival of a new bottle of "Chloé (2007) (Eau de Parfum) | Chloé" as an opportunity to say a few words about the fragrance.

The first bottle, a rather large one, arrived about five and a half years ago. At the time, I had loved perfume for a long time, but I wasn't yet aware of the endless fragrance possibilities. The fact that it moved in was more of a coincidence at the time. I had accumulated a few vouchers that I wanted to exchange for a fragrance at the perfumery. Up until then, I had mainly worn fragrances from another house and was curious to try something new. The saleswoman showed me Chloé and another candidate. Chloé it was.

At this point, I didn't own more than maybe three other fragrances and so the large bottle emptied relatively quickly. However, this was not just due to a "lack" of choice, but because it is simply always wearable.

Chloé is a delicate and fresh floral fragrance which, despite its lightness, has a radiance and staying power that I have not yet experienced in other "light" fragrances. Freshly scented, you might think that the cloud of fragrance reminiscent of spring would dissipate after a very short time, but no! Far from it! Chloé radiates for a long time without ever becoming overpowering.

Shortly after spraying it on, Chloé has a fruity, slightly acidic effect - not unpleasant! - then this impression quickly blends with floral freshness. Chloé is not a warm fragrance, but rather has a cool effect on me. It reminds me (emotionally, among other things) of a fresh spring breeze that blows towards you on a walk in the park at lunchtime, when the first flowers are already there, the sun is not yet so high in the sky and has not yet unfolded its full power.
The flowers are quickly joined by cedar wood, which remains rather quietly in the background. And so Chloé brightens the mood all day long.
It fits into any setting: perfect for trips into nature, to work, family gatherings, brunches... anywhere you want to be "put together" without being loud.

Since Chloé makes this wonderfully spring-fresh impression on me, its perfect time for me is from the first spring sunshine to the not-so-cold fall. In spring, it enhances the wonderful scents of nature and lifts the spirits after the dark winter. In summer, it cools. In autumn, it dispels the sometimes slightly depressed mood and conjures up memories and anticipation of what is to come after winter.
For me, it is at its best during the day.

The longevity is enormous for me. It lasts 8+ hours on my skin and even survives being soaped up. Of course, after 8 hours it won't scent three apartments and the stairwell of an apartment building at the same time, but I'll go out on a limb and say that I could imagine that someone who chooses this fragrance for themselves wouldn't want it to.
Nevertheless, it is definitely noticeable in the immediate vicinity, as I have already been approached about it. The verdict was always positive. So apparently he not only makes me happy, but also the people around me.
