Directly from Guerlain to my home, I was able to test the new L'Ideal perfume today. I liked the EDT, but the shelf life has kept me from buying it so far.
But the perfume is on another level.
At the beginning you get the almond and some fruit. However, the amount of fruit decreases and the leather becomes more present. Over time, the almond becomes more and more like amaretto. I can't detect patchouli at any time. Instead, the almond-leather note is embedded in a wonderfully soft and creamy musk from start to finish. And unlike the EDT, it also lasts on the skin.
I don't know of a more beautiful fragrance.

I paid 24.99 online and this was one of my best blind buys. The scent is almost identical to Tuxedo. I just tested that again the other day at Douglas on KÖ. Tuxedo projects perhaps a little stronger, but by one to two sprays more you can compensate for that loosely.
In any case, this "quality difference" is not worth almost 300 euros. In passing, you will not notice any difference, at most in the side by side comparison.
The bottle is heavy and looks chic. What I do not like is the "puddle sprayer". And the old-fashioned name certainly did not contribute to the success of the fragrance. Because the fragrance is anything but old-fashioned. It smells elegant, chic, fresh, but with depth.

Everyone finds the "ultimate" fragrance at some point. With me, it's Sycomore. Especially the Drydown (the ultra long one) is another dimension for me. The vetiver top note is a bit scratchy, but after that comes heaven on earth.

The fragrance is somewhat synthetic on the one hand (which is not surprising given the raspberry note), but on the other it offers an unexpected complexity and depth. Nevertheless, the fragrance is not heavy, but rather light with its sweetness. One could also say easily digestible and compatible with the masses. It fits well in the office, on a date and also otherwise
