Princess of the Forest
Oh. My. God.

This.... where to start from??
It is DIVINE. I kid you not, upon first spray it sent me into a spraying frenzy! All I wanted to do was to drown in this velvety, lightly sweet, somewhat candied moss and OUTSTANDING vetiver. And I don't even like vetiver!!!

Velvet, there is no other word to explain this number. Top quality ingredients, magnificent packaging, a sturdy bottle with thick bottom, round and pleasant to hold, a ridge cap so easy to remove but firmly fixed on the nozzle top. Like a classy hat! I LOVE IT.
This made me dream of faraway places, and people: a young Tzarina walking in the forest, the cold and mossy air embracing and matching her regal features. A light note of fruity vetiver on the skin, she walks this Earth owning every bit of that remote place, relishing in unfettered beauty.
Never in my life I thought I'd smell fruit from vetiver - it's exhilaratingly beautiful! Dreamy.

It sits more on the feminine side of things - I honestly don't see a man pulling this off, though not impossible if layered with other scents.
Long lasting (12 hours to go on skin scent on me) and incredible projection: 6 feet away my hubby smelled this and went: oh... that's very nice!... he never comments on my perfumes, says it loud!

Worth EVER penny you'll pay for and the plus side is that this number will provide also the perfect base for tons of different layering! I am in love, seriously. Looking up now the others in the range to stock up!

Nutty grapefruit
So... this opens with a clear grapefruit/nutella combo, rather pleasant and uplifting. Patchouli takes the back seat, letting nutella play around with the citrusy note. Perfect for those not so keen on a powerful patchouli.

But then vetiver takes stage, and despite having tried it won't really subdue of even a little. Too much for my like, sadly, because the initial combo is a definite winner. This is really choco-grapefruit dance on a base of soft patchouli. Overall a very nice fragrance but the take on vetiver doesn't do it for me.

My signature is Angel, devoted wearer since its birth, so perhaps that's the reason: no vetiver in the original.

Molinard is certainly an underestimated house, but it's a House deserving more recognition for sure! I am in love with their scents and will buy more.

Its fragrances clearly are concocted with quality ingredients by true masters of the art of perfumery; sillage and longevity are never an issue, elements crafted in sublime balances, and one will always be able to detect almost each note in them.
They might not appeal to the masses, but I don't think they should: they create masterpieces which have nothing to do with the overly sugary, fruity charmers the market craves for.

For a week I have been wearing this beauty. Upon application the most prominent notes are a tender, delicate green violet with a hint of powder, and a refreshing, juicy yet subtle note of blackcurrant.

After about 30 minutes the heart notes begin their journey up: again violet is the most prominent one, followed by an equally juicy peach - though very faint - and a glorious basket of violet leaves, slightly bitter. Iris then comes up, elegant, romantic and not at all overbearing. Here it does not overpower any other note. This is a dance of fairies, in the deep of a forest where all is about light and shadows.

No rose, no green apples can be detected at any time; perhaps one could say that the juiciness is given by all fruits blended perfectly in this marvellous magic potion. A citrusy whisper can be smelled every now and then, but overall citruses are not prominent.

THIS. IS. EXHILARATING. Nothing can evoke the spirit of the forest as much as violets and here they are the queens of a rather joyous, colourful, fun court.

Molinard is a genius and I wish this house would get the recognition it truly deserves. Simply magnificent.

Sassy Rose
I had both, and although they are equally nice I do prefer the EDT to the EDP.

In the latter the rose and violet and mimosa notes are more prominent, the powdery finish they gift the leather with is therefore heavier. And I don't like much rose in my perfumes, it got me bored to death in scents.

In the EDT the grapefruit is a constant presence throughout to drydown, which makes the fragance less evening scent, and more day wear. Also, the leather is subtler though persistent. For me a definite better combo, much more uplifting and delicate.

Kelly is uber classy, sophisticated and the epitome of grace. I absolutely love the EDT.
Longevity and sillage are worth every penny for this summery winner. Not a winter scent, it doesn't perform as well in cold or wet climates.

Nice concoction, but not an extraordinary one.

I don't understand how people can smell notes which are basically mute.
Mon Guerlain stays linear from first moment throughout to drydown were it slightly softens - the sandal does the magic. It's a blast of loud iris, jasmine, vanilla and patchouli. Very nice, but not enough to compel me to buy. Too powdery, too sweet.
Great sillage - if you like this type of florals - but it can be overbearing if you don't. Kinda classic of other times compared to more modern types of similar fragrance.

I prefer the floral flanker, way better.
