The first time I might have tested Zagorsk was about 7-8 years ago, when I started to get interested in fragrances and with my untrained nose was still looking for the right scent for me. At that time, Parfumo was still without the statement function, so with reliable regularity I had fragrances in front of my nose, whose sample order was based purely on the embellishing, poetic, imaginative representations. The fragrance references are known at or for each person different, not surprisingly, that it was therefore more missteps than anything else.

So also Zagorsk: church and incense, fits, I thought. My first encounter, however, was of a somewhat different kind, immediately I put the fragrance ad acta, because he smelled - attention, unobjective and purely subjective - awful. However, after I gradually got to know other CdG fragrances and my scent impression so not at all to the descriptions here wanted to fit, I had to order me again a sample.

My then, as well as today, unreflective first association is indeed church, yes, however, arise before my inner eye dark brown, from many prayers speckig glänzende wooden benches in a gloomy, blackened by candle soot, covered with rough stone floor tiles, old village church in the infinite expanse of Siberia. The incense-laden scent of the last service, mixed with the exhalations of hard-working elderly people and a hint of floor polish and soap still hangs in the air. Trembling touched by the breeze, the last candle goes out.

That sounds at first not at all convincing. In the meantime, however, I had not only the opportunity to visit Russian Orthodox churches and monasteries, but also to train my nose further. Zagorsk is meant to evoke a mood and therefore has little to do with freshly smoked incense (which, incidentally, was my expectation at the time). For me, it succeeds in evoking the atmosphere - and in parts - also the fragrance of a Russian Orthodox church, in this respect I can only agree with Gold.
At the same time, freed from intentions and naming, after the green-herbaceous unfriendly top note, it is an absolute clean feel-good fragrance of past centuries, when there was no fabric softener and synthetic musk, no 4711 was on the way or the British brought their lavender and moss to the man. It is bright, friendly, most likely I detect violet iris, some soap and hints of the CdG typical hinoki wood. Very discreetly in the background, candle soot, floor polish and incense continue to resonate. Absolutely contemplative - even without prayers.

He was allowed to move in immediately and can accompany me from now on a piece of my way.

To the fragrance background, the previous speaker has already written something - there is probably not much more to say.

Although coming from Geza, I would have expected the pre-comment and the components after a harmless, but quite neat spring fragrance. After spraying on, however, my bathroom turns into a 4-day venue of the super molecules, which atomic radiantly fade everything else. It booms fresh-cheerful-greenish-shimmering-iridescent-citrusy, subtly fruity-floral and woody and announces spring, summer, good mood and promises a freshness kick (without citrus!) unparalleled. I can't really describe it much better than that, as the fragrance messengers given are only meant to convey what you're supposed to smell. The osmanthus may still get there, everything else are fragrances that are turned up to the max. So who wants to stand out - please this way!

Whatever there next to ISO E Super - and that seems a different compound than the one from Molecule 01 - was processed there, it radiates exrem and is extremely durable. Good for him who does not perceive these compounds. Mr. Schön has truly surpassed himself in this respect, because I have not yet encountered one of these among his other compositions. The fragrance itself is by no means unpleasant, it is just a little "too much over" for me.

This fragrance on my watch list still came from my "fig phase" and although I had already thrown out some other potential candidates again, this somehow stuck. With one of my last sample orders I thought to myself then "Oh, come, at least times one, with which one also gets samples outside of the forum, so up on the sample order list."

My expectations were, admittedly, quite low. Although I like fig, provided that it is not fruity and dripping with sweetness, at the same time, however, my personal nemesis - sandalwood - is stated and obstructed here as a clearly perceptible component. But if one smelled everything exactly and in the order as indicated, it would not be a Chieffo fragrance. The few I know are so wonderfully blended that while there is a progression, it is hardly dominated by any particular notes. It is from the beginning a harmonious, if one likes the fragrances then, whole, everything finely interwoven and although partly dominant white flowers (e.g. with 1,2,3 Stella!) are processed, they hardly give the tone, resonate subliminally. Malicious tongues claim that this is the arbitrary-familiar mishmash, I claim that this is also an art, which must first be accomplished.

So also here. I don't get too much of the top note, because pretty quickly the heart note comes into play. The narcissus dulls a little flowery before itself and my color association is at this point - matching broom and narcissus - more yellow, rather than green. Still, green also fits, I think to myself, just fresh somehow doesn't. For about two hours, the fragrance remains in yellow-matte floral mode, I like rather less and even the green fig, which flashes every now and then, does not save the whole thing. I'm almost done with this scent, "nice, yes, but somehow too flowery and not bright enough" when the woody base sneaks up, which is a true revelation for me. Astonished, I notice that what is coming up from my arm triggers a feeling of well-being in me that I don't know how to classify at first. For days I ponder, testing every now and then and ignoring the nasty woody synthetic note that always becomes formative as soon as I press my nose too hard on the arm. Eventually, though, it 'clicks' - to me, this musky, subtly spicy-woody base smells like someone familiar to me. Not unwashed, but not fresh out of the shower either, not asleep, but slept in, but definitely still warm from bed, like this unique blend of my own skin scent, grooming, detergent and shower gel. Therefore, this fragrance also does not "humanize", has no animalism; and yet it smells so familiar, somehow like a better edition of oneself.

Judging by the sparse comments and the "nice" and "familiar" (in other contexts) indications, my scent perception is indeed a very personalized and associated one that I nevertheless felt the need to share with you.

Rarely have I been so sure that I absolutely must have a fragrance - luckily there was a remaining bottle in the souk : ).

Or how you quietly but steadily crept your way into my heart.

You came one day as a selected sample addition to my bottle of "Hinoki". At first, I didn't know what to make of you. Forest? Sauna? Cedar? Pine? What do they all perceive? Neither! Something undefined floral on an undefined woody base. Also with a sillage that was almost too much for me personally. I thought you a relaxed woody scent, nothing special. And yet, I kept reaching for you more and more often instead of Hinoki or Kyoto. There was something about you that wouldn't let me go. When the sample was used up, I decided that you could move in as my birthday gift bottle. Since then, I wear you almost every day and discover every now and then new side of you.

Sure, at first glance you seem pretty linear, and the bit of pepper in the opening they could have saved, but depending on the weather, mood, mood sometimes bright incense flashes out or the cedar dominates. Predominant, however, is a very nice, if artificial, but that doesn't bother me, combination of iris and pine. But it is precisely this diffuse woodiness without sharpness, with a hint of warmth and spice from the atypical iris that gives me a sense of well-being and also comfort from the cloak of fragrance that envelops me. You are somehow me, or I you; right now we belong together in this turbulent time for me anyway. Nevertheless, you are more than a feel-good fragrance, because you are also elegant & delicate and also know how to inspire others.

Your sillage is probably good, but never intrusive. Your durability is completely satisfied with more than 10 hours.

Let's travel together through life for a while, until it's time to say goodbye to each other again.

Granted, ever since I tested him, I've been thinking. Not about my scent preferences, no, but about whether my nose is possibly wrongly poled, whether I'm allowed to write comments about scents that I personally don't like and what the hell the perfumer probably wanted to give me with his "Secret Rendezvous".

Well, I simply dare, the lovers of this fragrance will not be disappointed

My first note on the fragrance: Persil + Jasmine! + loud!

Oh dear, I think everything may have its justification, but how the hell do you get to a secret rendezvous with such a scent? Nothing remains secret, after all I smell flowery, fresh, youthful, alright, but attractive? Well, even if my counterpart didn't drive it away, where I am, there is the scent. Not even our meeting place would remain undiscovered because of the almost oversized scent cloud and provided he would want to keep the date secret from his wife (there are many reasons for secrets...), she would smell that he had bathed in a sea of flowers. The question why, when and on which occasion would be quite justified

Well, now it is true that names are sound and smoke, but nevertheless they arouse a certain expectation. In this case, I would have expected to get a restrained, rather subtle and soft scent. Instead, everything that can (and apparently is allowed to) boom here.

In the base, the fragrance is actually more tamed, softer, warmer, more restrained - but does it have to create such a spectacle in advance? That's a pity, because in a much quieter and more restrained way, I might have liked it - but only maybe - with its scenttaura.
