More like a room fragrance
Cheval Blanc Paris I received today as a bottling, of course I had to test this exclusive fragrance immediately. I and Dior usually do not go so well together, as surely some of the readers of my reviews have already noticed. Of course, but with each new release of Dior again the curiosity wins and I have to test the fragrance, so also with Cheval Blanc Paris.

The fragrance I really like, but unfortunately we come immediately to the biggest drawback of Cheval Blanc Paris. The fragrance smells for me not like something that I would want to wear as a perfume, but rather like a room fragrance, especially such as they are often found in SPA's. Unfortunately, this makes it hard for me to wear Cheval Blanc Paris, because I somehow do not have the feeling here to wear a perfume.

I can not say much about the notes. There are the three indicated notes to recognize and it arises a powdery, floral fragrance, which has a linear course.

The durability is solid, but not outstanding. I could smell Cheval Blanc Paris circa 8 hours which is in the solid range. The silage is always something under an arm and after 4-5 hours already close to the skin.

Orange in perfection
These three words in the title are the best and shortest possible description Tauer Orange Star. This scent was a blind buy for me, up until now I've only had fleeting Tauer scents in front of my nose because they just didn't match my preferences. Orange Star was an exception here. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about Orange Star for a long time and never even remotely thought about this scent again. I think it was almost 3 years.

First of all, I want to note that Orange Star is not a real summer fragrance, as the name suggests. Perhaps this is also the reason for some of the bad reviews. Initially, I was also a bit shocked about my blind buy.

Next, I want to briefly address the statement that Orange Star is a sweet vanilla and amber mix. Here I can clearly say that this is not the case for me at all. Amber is easily detectable and the vanilla is also very restrained. I see here really no amber and vanilla inferno.

The next point I can not agree is that Orange Star has something in common with cleaning products or even toilet cleaner.

For me, the tart note of orange is always present, although I would speak here rather of the orange peel.

Orange Star for me contains mandarin, lemongrass, soft amber, soft vanilla, soft tonka bean, orange blossom which gives a slight floral touch and although it is not listed incense.
I see Orange Star as a tart scent with a soft smoky nuance which is surrounded by a soft enveloping sweetness.

I find Orange Star to be one of my best discoveries of 2021. I have not known these facets from an orange fragrance before. Orange Star has for me an incredible depth for a fragrance with a tendency into the fresh. It is really a pity that this fragrance is hardly noticed in Germany. Clearly many connect with Tauer rather other creations than Orange Star, but I can only recommend Orange Star to test.

The shelf life is in the good to very good range. I could smell Orange Star over 9 hours on my skin. The silage is initially over an arm's length but goes back to something under an arm's length after about 2 hours. After a little over 7 hours Orange Star is almost skin tight.

Great fresh and floral scent with a bit of unpleasant synthetics
Golden Eyes I received last week through a sharing of a nice Parfumo. I was of course once again very excited about this Floraïku, because the brand for me always had very mixed fragrances. Golden Eyes is in between for me. The fragrance couldn't really convince me, but I'm not averse to this scent either. Here is for me a dichotomy between mediocre and good.

The following notes I can recognize in Golden Eyes: bergamot, pepper, black tea, woods (in distinction I could not make here), patchouli, vetiver and leather. The whole gives a fresh and slightly floral creation with a gentle leather note. The floral I find very interesting, because the notes do not show this direction. Unfortunately, though, there is a lasting slightly distracting synthetic in Golden Eyes. I'm not sure what synthetic note is causing this here. Without this synthetic, the fragrance would be for me a solid 9 points fragrance.

The durability is in a good to very good with 9-10 hours range. The Silage rather restrained and always something under an arm's length and after 6-7 hours skin.

Unfortunately, Golden Eyes remains somewhat behind its possibilities, without this synthetic, the fragrance would have been a potential purchase candidate, so this unfortunately remains only a solid trivial fragrance for me that does not bother, but also could not trigger a WOW effect.

A fragrance black as night
My Love Has the Colour of the Night was originally one of the fragrances that had never interested me, but through a nice Parfumo who has offered me a bottling, I thought I'll test but, could be interesting.

It's been a little over a week now as I got the bottling. My Love Has the Colour of the Night I tested in this time 2x and somehow I was each time fascinated by the fragrance. My Love Has the Colour of the Night smells really like the night, a fragrance pitch black and at the same time also somehow symbolic of the unknown in a dark night.

My Love Has the Colour of the Night actually has very few notes, which is nothing bad here, however, and also fits very well. I can smell pepper, patchouli and guaiac wood. The vetiver just adds a very small green touch to the whole thing. My Love Has the Colour of the Night has a fascination for me somehow. It's a fragrance I'll probably never buy a bottle of because I'd never consume the scent, but at the same time, I always want to own a bottling of My Love Has the Colour of the Night.

The name My Love Has the Colour of the Night is perhaps a little inappropriately chosen. I don't know if My Love Has the Colour of the Night is necessarily such a good thing, or for someone to have that colour. The fragrance is also nothing for a romantic date or meeting, even if this suggests the name.

The durability is for me in the good range with just under 9 hours and a moderate silage always a little under an arm's length and after a little over 6 hours skin.

Average fragrance with insane price
Xerjoff Purple Accento has been on my wish list for a long time, I almost bought this one blind. The idea to buy this blind is of course in a way completely crazy, but that's just the way it is with our hobby. Fortunately, I could still brake me no blind buy to dare.

Now I would like to criticize something that certainly not everyone can understand: How please can this fragrance be called Accento. The two fragrances have nothing in common. This has disturbed me personally something and I give for this also a point deduction in the fragrance.

Purple Accento has for me like Erba Pura, which Purple Accento very similar not really a course. There is tangerine, vanilla, musk and amber to an extreme degree. As a difference, there's a soft pineapple and some oud to it, and a slight floral note from the hyacinth. The oud note comes through but only after 30 minutes for me.

I must say, however, that I see no reason for me to buy Purple Accento. Erba Pura I already own and somehow the difference is just too small for me here and I also own the for me better and cheaper alternative Tiziana Terenzi Halley. Halley offers for me the better differentiation from the typical Erba Pura note and also strikes a different direction.

The durability is of course typical Xerjoff again extremely good. I could Purple Accento even after 14 hours still easily perceive. The silage is also very strong again. The first hours Purple Accento fills entire rooms. Only after 10 hours Purple Accento becomes skin deep.

The fragrance is good, but just not independent enough to convince. In the end, it is simply also the price of the fragrance for me to be completely uninteresting, because I do not pay 600€ for something that is similar
