After applying a decent amount of Khawla on my inner forearm, my nose was assaulted by the skankiest blast I have ever experienced. Muscs Koublai Khan's opening is tame comparing to this. It was unmistakably fecal. This note started to calm down after about 30-40 min. All I could smell afterwards was a little rose and a little safran with the animalic musk. It is very tame now 3 hours later. It just slowly faded. I would recommend testing it just for the opening. Wow, seriously, wow.

Starting with the usual medicinal Oudh, slightly overwhelming but not for long. A good dose of smokiness is very present in the first hour. After the oil settles on the skin, it is rich, smooth, not too strong but present. There is a good amount of rose in this fragrance. It comes out after an hour or so.
As a women, I enjoy wearing another fragrance along with this oil for extra pizzazz. Rose, spices and/or vanilla complement it very well. On me, it lasts about 5-6 hours. There is a bonus, the crystal bottle is a work of art in itself. Oudh is the dominant note in Al Quds but is definitely easier to wear than many of the same genre. I would recommend it to men and women alike.

Great unisex choice for lovers of Oriental Spicy fragrances! Unexpectedly, it is sweet and dry. Lush resins with a good dose of spices, vanilla and musk. Can't go wrong for the price. I smelled Musc Ravageur yesterday and yes, they are indeed close cousins but I prefer this one. Stone me.

Fleur de Cassie is my holy grail! After testing hundreds of scents, this is the one that makes my heart skip a beat. It is a dense composition. Indolic mimosa and carnation dominate along with a persistent cumin note. It is a floral woody carnal scent. Very retro, slightly powdery.

I am often cautious when trying a new scent and usually spray once on my wrist before going all out. I forgot my usual habit today when I applied several sprays of Ambre Gris. I quickly regretted it. I was assaulted with sickly sweet powder and a soapy rose. I was also detecting some unpleasant sourness which is possibly the coumarin. My partner had been complaining about a black olive smell in the kitchen. We later discovered that it was me who was sporting 'Eau de black olives' aka Ambre Gris.
