Harajuku Lovers Pop Electric G
I am a coconut fanatic and was looking for something that smelled like a straight-up Pina Colada. Even though this perfume does not actually have a pineapple note, you'd swear that it does. The whipped cream note blends effortlessly with the coconut, giving the overall impression of something sweet, creamy and coconutty. That sweetness is all that is needed to mimic a sweet, juicy pineapple. When I first sprayed this on, I could detect some very light, non-descript florals but I'm not getting any of the woodiness or the musk.
The Pina Colada vibe that I was chasing, is in this scent and I find it so comforting and satisfying.
My other coconut fragrances have more of a "dry" coconut feel to them. I was really craving that fluffy juiciness that this one has. I love it and it's easily my favourite scent from the Harajuku Lovers line.

Kim Kardashian Pure Honey
First, let me start off by saying that this perfume is actually very nice and pleasant. I have a decant and sprayed some on my arm so I could decide if I wanted to pull the trigger on a full bottle as the 100 ml. size is super cheap right now and I have to admit, I love the bottle design with the little gold bee!
With this perfume, I was expecting something heavy on the honey but on my skin, I'm just not getting that. I would describe it as primarily, a floral. Lovely, light (white?) florals with a kiss of honey. I don't detect any coconut, vanilla or musk whatsoever. It's well blended and doesn't smell cheap to me but it's quite light and that's coming from someone whose skin holds onto scent very well.
If this had been heavier on the honey and projected from the skin better, I absolutely would have ordered a full bottle but as it is, it's not for me. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, just not honey-centric or strong enough for my personal taste. For the cheap price tag, it's worth a buy if you enjoy Spring-like florals with a little touch of something extra.

Miss Dior EDT 2013
This is the 2013 Eau De Toilette version of Miss Dior Eau De Parfum 2012. I love them both but truth-be-told, I like this version a tad better. It smells like the parfum version but the patchouli is dialed down, making it less overwhelming. I'm so happy that I bought this when I did and had the good foresight to also buy a back-up bottle at the same time. Besides the origninal Miss Dior Cherie (with the popcorn and strawberry note), this discontinued version is my favourite. Simple in its composition and beautiful on the skin.

Lancome Lavandes Trianon
This is beautiful.
I was scared/nervous when I ordered this blindly because a lot of the reviews here reported a realistic, herbal lavender, something likened to an essential oil. I don't love a pure lavender smell, even in a lavendar bar of soap, I always prefer it alongside something else, preferrably vanilla.
This perfume is not cheap (even though I did get it for a decent price) so I felt like I was taking a risk by ordering it before I had smelled it but luckily for me, my experience was a positive one.
My fears were put to rest upon first spritz. It is a realistic lavender scent but I didn't find it tremendously herbal or medicinal (thankfully.) The lavender is perfectly tempered with a creamy, fluffy sugar-coated vanilla. It's as if someone had baked a vanilla cake and thrown a handful of dried lavender in the batter, then as it bakes it gives off this soothing, comforting, calming aroma which makes you feel zen.
It's strength and lasting power wasn't an issue for me. I could smell it all day on myself and when I awoke in the morning, I could still smell it.
This fragrance is ethereal and altogether magical.
I am an anxious person by nature and I was hoping this scent might help tone that down a little. I'm happy to report that it did.
I am enamored with this beauty and will treasure each and every drop.

Paco Rabanne Ultrared Man
The blind-buy bandwagon isn't always a safe place. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I too, succumbed to the hype with this fragrance. For 55 dollars (Canadian), I figured that it would be worth taking a chance on. I have a decant of Mugler Ultra Zest but I don't love it, it's a solid "like" though. I had a feeling that Ultrared Man was going to be better for me and I was right because I love this one (I find it more fresh than the Mugler.) I have very few summer time scents that I love on myself. I'm naturally geared toward winter time scents that are heavy and gourmand and have little to no citrus in them.
The only fragrance that I wore regularly last summer was Light Blue Eau Intense Dolce&Gabbana (the women's version.) That one smells great on me and I have received the most compliments on that scent than I have on any other fragrance that I own (by a mile.) I think that Ultrared is going to give it a run for it's money this summer!
It starts out heavy on the blood orange and has a really nice zing to it. Right away, you can detect the vanilla and it mixes with the orange seamlessly, definitely giving you the best possible Orange Creamsicle vibe. That impression remains but on a lower scale once patchouli joins the party, giving it a solid base and helping with the lasting power. The sweetness is there, bolstered by the praline but it's never cloying or sickening.
Overall, this is a solid fragrance and one of my best blind-buys ever. No regrets in picking this one up. Destined to be a new summer staple!
