If the city of Paris had a perfume created especially for it, this would be it. Balenciaga Paris took me in immediately. The freshness at the beginning, followed by spicy and creamy, and always floral, but subliminally, slightly buzzing in the background. All the components are wonderfully balanced here, making the scent so beautifully soft, but never monotonous. Nothing too much, never "too much", like the Parisienne we know from movies and literature and possibly real life, casually yet elegantly sitting in a café, in a tweed blazer and with - from last night - disheveled hair. Yes, I can very well imagine that this bottle is in her bathroom. It suits the interior, her, the flair of the city

I may solemnly declare at this point that for the first time in my life, a perfume has almost managed to blow me away. Literally. Within seconds of applying it, I felt so nauseous that I thought I was going to pass out immediately. Yes, I fled the perfumery to get some fresh air. Then while I was sitting on the train on the way home and the cardboard-sweet, berry-biting smell from the wrist hit my nose, my head was buzzing. Yes, I got a headache like I had only ever known from one fragrance before: Burberry Her.
Too bad, because the classic Gucci Flora, but also Gucci Bloom, I like extremely well, but this one is highly concentrated cotton candy, ultra-sweet poison. Maybe it's too strong, but maybe I'm just too weak...?

Dusk, a piazza in Rome. She stands before me, the woman in the black dress. Red lips, loose hair. I approach her, kiss on the right, kiss on the left. Her eyes are shining and the sky... is the color of the bottle.
That's what I see in front of me when I smell this fragrance, put it on. Good perfumes are like doors to other worlds. And this one is a damn good one. Chapeau Zara, chapeau Jo Malone. A masterful oud, smoky and floral at the same time. Absolutely elegant.

First of all: I own and love Baccarat Rouge 540 EdP, so I was all the more excited about Sunset Riot. It was a blind purchase, which I do not regret. The parallels to Baccarat are undeniable, but SR is much more suitable for everyday use and overall just fresher, more tart and thus great for spring and summer. The "medicinal" note - for me rather "mineral" note - is dominant, as with BR, but it lacks just (fortunately!) the sweetness, which makes it lighter and more sociable. For how much I love BR, he is a statement, which I do not want to set during the day

Yesterday he arrived at my place and was allowed to move into my small perfume collection after the first spray. A dream of dark chocolate and orange zest. The bitter-sweet scent immediately cuddled me up. For the office it is too much for me, unsuitable for summer and spring. The perfect fragrance for cold evenings, when you long for comfort and warmth.
What drew my attention to the fragrance was on the one hand the damn sexy commercial (please watch) and on the other hand the fact that despite its clear gourmet notes it contains NO vanilla, which I can't stand at all...
