Nag Champa Like Incense
From the write up on this fragrance from the creator this was based on the character Jordan Belfort from watching Leonardo Dicaprio in Wolf Of Wall Street. So I imagined tobacco, leather, booze and woods. You know like a gentleman's club with people smoking cigars.

What I got in smelling this was a pungent smelling Nag Champa like incense. It's a smoky green honeyed incense like you have just walked into a New Age shop selling Tarot cards and crystals. Totally different from the write up, but I guess that is due to my past associations with the smell.

It is very beastly and cloying and the longevity, projection and sillage is off the charts. Not my cup of tea unfortunately!

Cold Mountain Air
In the opening I can smell a icy blast of cold mountain air with hints of tangerine and pineapple. A mix of synthetic ambergris ie ambroxan and citrus notes makes the opening quite fresh and invigorating to the senses.

After a while a clean white moss accord becomes apparent with a little creaminess and I can also smell a nice apple freshness.

In the base I can pick up some tonka and woods. It smells like a lot of other designer blue fragrances but the quality in this one just shines through. Very nice!

Lovely Plum Accord
A beautiful mix of vanilla, tonka, woods melding with a lovely plum accord. The quality is outstanding and it really blooms on the skin showing hidden nuances. It reminds me of Armani Code Edp/Absolu.

The projection is average staying close to you but the longevity is really good. I got all day into the next morning where I could still smell the fragrance.

Sweet Sweet Cherry And Vanilla Goodness
A thick boozy sugary syrupy cherry fragrance is what I get in the opening and this stays like this for a very good while. Out of this mix you can start to get hints of oud, vanilla and saffron, but it's the boozy cherry that is the star of the show.

Eventually the cherry fragrance recedes and a beautiful vanilla takes it's place in the drivers seat with hints of oud and again saffron. At this stage the scent smells like a sugary cherry jasmine scent with the vanilla holding centre stage.

This scent lasts a very long time on my skin, 12 hours plus. And if you get this on your clothes you will be smelling it on them for days. Now the projection and sillage is very good for the first few hours then it reigns itself in to within a arms length. But make no mistake it has a very pervasive scent that will always be with you for a long time. And I'm talking about the current version on the shelves not some mythical vintage formulation.

All in all I can see why people love this, it is gorgeous especially in the drydown. But for my personal tastes I find it too sugary sweet and feminine. Thumbs up though!

A Perfect Gentleman
The Iris and cypress opening with basil gives the scent that fresh spicy feeling which I find a little invigorating. Perfect for that after a shave/shower spring in your step in the morning as you go about your business.

As it dries down you get a powdery vanilla, woods with a very nice touch of caramel/toffee.

I find the scent to be addictive and just lovely to wear, a perfect daytime scent for the gentleman. Very nice!
