Not quite as expected.. :/
TLDR Statement: A fragrance where very few will find a true olfactory revelation today. And those who do, will almost certainly do it only from 30/35+.

_____________

After discovering this bottle, it was clear that I somehow and sometime have to test this fragrance. Simply one of the best-looking there is so, I think.

Finally, I could then also come to a small vintage miniature to be able to test him times.

But... unfortunately, came very quickly the disappointment. The fragrance is not on the same level as the bottle. Rather even floors lower.

The fragrance is overall citrus-green to classify. He lets remind of a fresh, yet warm savannah wind with a pinch of hot sand.

However, this wind is also not a strong gust, rather a light wind.

So the scent is far from very noticeable, the projection low. Durability is also a maximum of 4-5 hours really actively perceptible.

Overall, a great pity:/ Would have been extremely pleased to be able to include the fragrance in the full bottle in my collection.

As already described above, is the fragrance overall already very pleasant, but you really hardly get around it, also bring a certain personal age to be able to represent the fragrance. Otherwise, he will probably just be too unsuitable for younger men.

It was worth a try...

For me - THE evening fragrance.
In the venture to approach the fragrance oud, I (also as a great Versace lover) came across Versace Oud Noir.

I have to say that I wasn't really taken with it at very first; I thought oud just wasn't really mine. However, the more I applied and wear the fragrance thanks to a sample, the more the habituation set in and the greater the fascination.

Whenever it is now approaching the evening and early evening hours, I am already downright happy to be able to apply the fragrance. So much I have made friends with him.

In my opinion, the fragrance just does everything right for such a use. It's not too heavy, but still nice and deep and pleasantly smoky and peppery, well balanced by the fruitiness of the bitter orange and neroli.

Especially in the current evening warmth and twilight, he just gives me a real feel-good feeling, which I would not want to miss more.

Durability is so about the 5-6 hours on the skin, where the sillage is rather moderate. Could of course everything like to be more, but in itself not too tragic. What he represents and what I like him for, he does excellently well.

I'm clearly a fan, maybe you will be too!:)

Unisex? No. Great? Oh, yeah.
Due to some comments, which said that Kenzo L'Elephant is actually unisex, I had to try the fragrance necessarily times, because I would have had him alone because of the flacon very gladly in my collection.

Unfortunately, then came the realization: the fragrance is (actually) not at all unisex.

Although it has a stunning combination of spicy and gourmand components, it has a clear feminine undertone that can not really be worn convincingly by a man. As feminine as the man may still be, one will be able to see 100% clearly when noticing his fragrance that this is a woman's fragrance after all.

But be that as it may; what and how he does it then, is just great - just for a designer fragrance.

--Performance--

Durability is clearly over 8 hours and the sillage also makes almost until the end still good with. 3 sprays max - more you really do not need.

--Progress--

The fragrance comes on big, loud and strong. One of which you could also easily claim to be one that wears the person at the wrong person and not the other way around.

In the beginning there is clearly cinnamon with other spicy notes, until it gradually becomes a little more floral and softer, but always retains a spicy confessional character.

--Conclusion--

Overall, a very strong, independent fragrance that smells high-class and noble from start to finish. I must say to this as a man but also clearly that - as great as the fragrance is - I can imagine him almost exclusively only on an older, personally more mature woman. Here it is by no means a fresh, floral, sweet or carefree "girl scent".

The best of the "This is..." pour Lui series
Have now tested all three, This is Him, Rock and Love, and must say quite clearly that this one is the best of the three. Not because he toppt the others by superior durability or sillage - which is namely quite similar good as with the others (H. 7+ hours) - but rather because he is simply the most pleasant.

To that, I have to say that I'm just not a big fan of incense, which is present in all three fragrances, but in This is Love to the slightest extent, leading me to my assessment that it's the "best".

In addition, it comes through the fruity and loosening notes, the basic DNA (we assume here times from This is Him) noticeably loosens up and makes versatiler. In contrast, I find namely the other two very dense and massive appearing, which would make them only in exceptional cases to true everyday fragrances.

Overall, a very nice and pleasant composition - if you like then also incense, because you probably do not get away with the series completely without. But maybe that wants one or the other also not at all...:)

Christian rock, not hard rock
Man is that a shame... it would be such a great, warm vanilla fragrance, if there was not simply this very present and for me also penetrating incense.

I personally haven't been to church in a while and have little intention of going back, but with this scent you are immediately transported back there mentally and won't be leaving anytime soon.

Only in the last ~2 hours of the very odentliche durability of 7.5+ hours, the incense enters the background and lets the vanilla emerge more - but then it's already vile too late for that anyway.

Sillage is also strong and projects for a good 3-4 hours. If you have this fragrance on it and can be fascinated by him, -you are definitely clearly perceived, that's for sure.

So for every Christian rocker a true dream scent, my rock music, however, I like quite different.
