Coke in the Church
As a student who is not yet part of the working population, one likes to trust for the exploration of highly praised fragrances on the (in my opinion, unjustly) discredited by many fragrance clones, and if one may believe some self-proclaimed experts on the worldwide web, this concrete Afnan fulfills the task with flying colors.
The price is pleasant, the bottle is solid, heavy and from an aesthetic perspective, not a work that offends the eye or leads to discord, on the contrary, it seems downright shockingly valuable for the price. In summary, first of all, a round thing.
The fragrance, on the other hand, raises questions; freshly sprayed on, the nose is beaten by a wide variety of notes, it seems shrill and gloomy, over-seasoned and smoky, downright beastly. After a few minutes, however, this "symphony of horror" subsides and what remains is a very warm, tingly-resinous aura on the skin, which for me would be somewhere in the split between the interiors of a Gothic church and a warmed Coca Cola. No, the drydown is really a clear contrast to the opening, but a further development remains denied.
A very interesting fragrance, definitely polarizing, I am very curious in which direction the more frequent use may influence the subjective fragrance experience.

One snapshot is enough
Smells 1:1 like the noble Layton after its somewhat schizophrenic top note has settled. But has no noticeable progression, only a decrescendo with time.
Circumlocutory Durftbeschreibungen I spare you, he comes in the environment well, thanks to moderate Sillage are compliments in at the latest hugs a la "Your perfume smells good, which is it? Sweet, but still good!"
Question for the morally upright reader: do you then answer honestly or do you call the original? ;)
Opening a little chemical, but these notes fade quickly. Durability goes with direction 6h on the skin okay, on the clothes as always significantly longer, overall not outstanding earth-shattering, but also not worse than the original, rather better.

The flacon is actually ugly as the night dark, have thought here exaggerate all, but it is already an achievement that you have to appreciate.

Bottom line, a very successful clone. Who is not too fine for this has the potential to save a lot of money.

Distance in both temporal and spatial dimensions does it good.
Short and crisp:
1. The first 20-30 minutes it smells extremely unpleasant in the top note. It is supposed to represent smoke or something, but for me it smells 1:1 like pure tea tree oil. Kind of constricting, oily-greasy, out of round, like tipped. After that, the note recedes.
(Note: Al Haramain's - L'Aventure has exactly the same note, only a bit weaker. To what extent the two thus reflect the original I can not say; without wanting to be more pontifical than the Pope I do not see it at all, for a fragrance that costs in production single digits to spend more than what some spend a month on food.)

2. I've noticed that I love the fragrance when someone else wears it, but on myself, the aforementioned note yet too often pulls in the nose. What is the reason for that? The scent smells at three meters away just much better than from 10 cm away. Because that icky tea tree oil note (I strongly suspect it's the one some here dub the lemon toilet scent) just stays, albeit toned down, close to the skin, while a very pleasant fruity-fresh, pineapple-heavy cloud fills the room. So the scent is perfect if you just want to smell good in public, if you want people to turn around when passing by in town or whatever fantasy you have there, but in my opinion exactly wrong if you want to do this even at close range.... Kinda ironic ;)

3. Scent DNA is what some aptly consider simply hackneyed and overhyped. For one thing, it really doesn't go down nearly as well with women as men would hope (and I strongly suspect that a large proportion of Aventus/CDNIM/Aventure/Explorer/...other-copy wearers intend just that, even I would be hard-pressed to absolve myself of such an accusation): a "can-opener", "panty-dropper" or whatever other hubris/desperation-induced language-rape the fragrance is not, anyway. Yes, he smells good and there are certainly many women who like the fragrance, but if you think that this fragrance alone makes you desirable or anything - Nope, wrongly wound.

Conclusion:
The fragrance smells good from drydown, it costs little, it is cleverly bagged, it has an above-average performance and room (but not hall) filling sillage. You can't go wrong with this scent at all. Who despite ubiquity would also like to try something of the Aventus cake is here I think right

Mature Lolita
The night opened its womb. The moon sent out its rays: carefully, almost cautiously, they penetrated the thin swathes of passing clouds and gave them a fleeting silvery-pure glow, caressed the contours of the landscape, met the high treetops, reflected in the alert eye of an eagle owl perched on a high branch, and created a natural painting full of physically palpable contrasts.

Were the proud firs aware of the sacredness of this gift offered to them by the tender kiss of light in the dark? Did the frantic, cramming heart of the field mouse, filled only with worry and drive, scurrying over the shaded foliage, manage to find, at least for a few moments, some reassurance in the beauty and infinity of the deep night sky?
Would envy arise in the eternally small souls of the innumerable subterranean creatures, would they, contrary to their nature, bring up their feelers of the upper world, and would they, in spite of the lack of an organ suited to optics, be able to catch in themselves a single, tiny perception; would envy even become consuming anger and blind rage because of the injustice of this world...?

Dolores Haze stood leaning against a tree, wrapped in the awakening dimness of the forest. Her hair seemed to have laughingly accepted the wind's invitation to dance. The shadows on her face remained untouched by any glow; her once innocent gaze roamed the landscape. With what frivolous naïveté the sensual world is capable of presenting itself! A melancholy smile. Memories.
She had grown up. Time had left its mark, but her beauty had remained unmistakable. She was still temptation incarnate, sin. She was the night. A sensual, sweet, enchanting, and sensory-stealing one. Free of morbidity and full of life. Warm, pulsating, beguiling.

Light is the exception. Darkness is the rule. Light is awareness, recognition, and knowledge. It is always under the yoke of darkness, it must always consume something in order to be. Something must always burn in order for light to arise, which tries to dispute the omnipresence of darkness... and the same victor always emerges. Everything living represents only a brief point of light in the firmament. But darkness is not the antithesis of life!

********************!*

Myrrh & Tonka by Jo Malone represents a masterpiece for me. I find the fragrance to be seductive, sensual, yet elegant and mysterious. It is every time a gift to yourself to wear it. A temptation that I do not resist at times!

Tarzan as cannibal
I have read a lot about Kouros and was very interested as he is actually so. Since according to many previous speakers this fragrance is very similar to the original here and at the same time dirt cheap, I decided without further ado to a blind purchase...

What can I say... It smells really, really bad. My first thought is: "So smells dying", then come through more herbal, green notes, so that my association now goes more in the direction of Tarzan, masculine, broad-shouldered, uninhibited; but not the nice liana-wielding Tarzan we know from Disney - no, rather one who grabs Jane by the ankle and pulls into the undergrowth...
