Young women and Shalimar?
Well, at 27, am I even young anymore? That remains to be seen.
One rainy autumn day I strolled through one of Munich's shopping malls. To my left, a branch of the big D suddenly appeared. I just kept walking.
No, of course I didn't. Rarely can I just stroll by.
"Oh, today I treat myself to a new perfume." With the thought I entered the store and as always hangs in the air a collection of all kinds of fragrances. Phew.
Looking around, I catch the eye of an aged saleswoman. Spontaneously, I let myself be advised by her, although I usually prefer to look around myself. A vanilla fragrance it should be today. When I wave off "Olympea" and the like, she reaches into the shelf and shows me a beautiful, almost baroque-looking bottle. Quite old-fashioned. She tells me it's one of the most important and popular fragrances in perfume history.
Alright, she sprays it on my wrist. I detect a heavy rubbery note, to me it smells like car tires spinning, smoke forming, just before the revs are simultaneously high and low enough to get grip. The sports car drivers among you know what I'm talking about.
Smelling the wrist, I wrinkled my nose and looked skeptically at the saleswoman. She just smiled and sent me out of the store. I should go for a walk for half an hour. If I then like the scent, I should be happy to come back.

In fact, it takes more than 20 minutes until I no longer smell car tires, but a warm, soft and high-quality vanilla spreads. Flashed by this scent progression, I actually return to the nice lady and buy the fragrance.

Shalimar still contains mostly natural ingredients, which makes it very interesting.

Only small disturbing factor, but this is due to the natural raw materials: to the vanilla note joins after about 5-6 hours a slightly musty, for me not assignable note. I can imagine that this is why some people classify it as a "granny scent", because many people today no longer know natural fragrances, but associate them with times long past. By the way, I'm sure that if some people didn't know how long a fragrance has been around, they certainly wouldn't downgrade it as "stale" and the like. But about "taste" can not be argued as is well known and that is also good so.

Otherwise, a great fragrance, which is completely justified even today one of the best-selling fragrances worldwide

Spraying luxury
Athalia? Is that anything like Delina? Because that's from Parfums de Marly. Athalia is probably just a little smokier, because it says "incense" in the fragrances. And then leather! And cashmeran too... oh, my.... is probably just some oriental kind of Delina?

I'm sure many people think that or something like that. But Athalia is something else entirely. Beguiling, sexy, wild, free and cashmeran and amber give the necessary warmth, which makes the fragrance beautifully round.

Athalia is definitely not a masspleaser. It's like the Amouage scents, no matter how exciting it sounds, you better test it in advance.

And I did! So far no niche fragrance has made it to the Signature Scent. This one did it and does it every day anew.

And so I come to the next exciting effect, I think. I classify most perfumes - more or less consciously. Delina, Royal Princess Oud (Creed) and Lyric Woman (Amouage) are my typical Daytime favorites. For going out or partying at night, I like to use a Tauer or an intense designer perfume, which often seems unpleasant during the day. But Athalia? He can do it. Or should I rather say "she"? This fragrance smells pleasantly opulent during the day without sticking someone's nose.
And at night? I perceive the incense and leathery feel of Athalia at night much more than during the day. So it smells exciting enough for the night without my companions yawning because they are bored by my perfume. Little joke on the edge.

I have been asked about the scent several times and have heard more than 3 times, "it smells great, but
expensive". Nice compliment. Expensive, it is also relatively. It's interesting that people notice that.

For me, Athalia is an olfactory masterpiece that is nevertheless not a masspleaser. And never will be. Let us hope so.

Thanks

A fragrance not everyone can wear
Out of pure Creed curiosity I recently ordered a bottling of the Royal Princess Oud perfume.

The first spraying surprised me a bit - I didn't imagine a princess scent that harsh (bergamot) but not that one! This is more of a princess scent!

After about 2 hours, however, the tart note fades into the background, thank God, patchouli and iris come out clearly for me. Only now does it smell a bit more feminine to me.

The same happens to me a few more times, until all of a sudden - even directly after spraying on - I don't even consider him to be masculine anymore! I smell something flowery from the beginning, but not in the sweet direction but the citrusy fresh one.

From now on I like it much better, reminds me distantly of "Black Orchid" by Tom Ford, only a little more solid and less slaying, rather flattering.

Maybe my nose had to get used to the scent a little bit in order to adequately smell the more complex scents.

A great everyday fragrance for the successful self-confident woman with charismatic charisma.
Very different from the other Creed women's fragrances.

A really great fragrance - definitely classifiable in the unisex category

Now that's a bouquet of flowers
There are countless perfumes with names like "Blooming Bouquet", "Floral" etc. But Creed's "Love in White" is the first perfume that actually smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers.
The prelude already starts off strongly flowery, only a little later orange joins in, has something of freshly squeezed orange juice.
The two fragrances mix so perfectly here that it can be sniffed as a floral orange.
So I can't agree with the negative comments, but I don't take opinions seriously anyway, which as a layman call a perfume "bad".
The fragrance lasts for 8 hours without losing its floral character. It is not my favourite scent, but Creed has created a wonderful real floral scent. A few less talented perfumers can certainly take a leaf out of this book
