Rustic ancient leathery experience
This is definitely, as you could imagine, an eccentric perfume. I will classify it as a vetiver - leather. Of course at first this is a blast of an ancient and strong leather with woods mixed with a realistic and really original note of clay, that is the first time I smelled in a fragrance and can assure that note is incredible. I am from Spain and this remembers me a lot of places that I visited in my life, specially rustic houses or something ancient and the nature and typical towns, like Salamanca, sure. This could be the smell of "Máximo" in gladiator film; you can smell the leather, the earth, the stones of Coliseum. At the beginning is an amazing leathery experience that makes you think you can wear as a new, original and classy leather, but in the drydown a too much acid vetiver note takes importance and dominates the whole leathery chord. This changes my perception of the fragrance. This fragrance could have been an incredible dark leather with a rustic classy vibe, but the drydown has a totally different intention taking the way of a dirty greenish acid vetiver that personally I don´t like. Interesting fragrance anyway, and perfectly executed with a good balance and no edges. Need to mention of course the shy and far floral notes in the background that creates a echo of sweetness, but always an echo in the background, you never feel any floral domination.

Finally a new concept in lavender-vanille mix.
I am really surprised about this one. I´ve read a lot of bad reviews about this perfume, and finally when I´ve smelled it, I´ve found an original combination of vanille + lavender, never done before. Maybe is different for some people was waiting in a vanille-lavender conoction, we don´t have here the classical barbershop lavender tone (at last) neither the typical attempt to modernize the classic barbershop vibe with the gourmandy aspect of vanille (thank God) so abused in the 90´s.
We have a lavender here, softened and sweetened with vanille but not in a foody way if not in a airy, transparent and shiny character. More from the way that Beloved man does with its transparent sweetened spices and flowers creating an illusionary iris atmosphere. Simply new and unexplored idea of a classic combination of ingredients. One lavender can shine and bright without being classic or bizarre.
Maybe expensive for a comfort and safe scent (same case in beloved man) but innovation, balance, good taste and quality of ingredients has its price.

Glorious aftershave?
Gets a pair of razor blades, go and shave your teen oily skin then use your "aftershave" given with your adidas, nivea, axe, nike.. cologne pack to calm your face. Remember that smell. And you got it. You can save your money.
Now trying to be serious.. We have a mesmerizing start kind of sweet lavender combined with with a classical vibe of a clean smell typical of men that I described previously, and I think it sounds familiar to many of us. Then dries into an almost transparent vetiver, one of the cleanest I´ve ever smelled to be a vetiver, mixed with a soapy feel engaged with a minimun dose of lavender and even less doses of patchouli just to create a fake sweet vibe that pretends to renovate the entire classical scratchy masculine soapy clean character that emerges of this perfume. I think this could be the magic of this perfume. I can see this is an easy to criticize fragrance at first, for me at the moment is a big pass indeed. But I have my doubts. It seems the kind of fragrance that could be a star for daily use that begin to understand the more that you wear. Something like a Green Irish Tweed effect. For some people is only an expensive cool water, others think is one of the best perfumes ever created with a subtle nuances of glory that few fragrances have (I am in that group). Who knows, but for me at the moment this fragrance can be resumed in the first three lines. If I had to compare it with another fragrance, one that comes to my mind is Honour man by Amouage, is not exactly a similar but we have that kind of clean vetiver with a manly feeling. Obviously toned down in this case and without any peppery and typical east traces in the mix.

Almost perfection, in the middle of two different paths.
What is the intention of this perfume? We have here the typical chord that pretends to be sexy mixing ingredients like vainilla, alcohol and tobacco. A completely night out kind of fragrance. Before testing I was expecting something sexy but in a luxury way, maybe the sexier perfume in this range of notes (Herod, Tobacco vanille, Back to black, chergui, etc..). But I found something different, we have those notes, but the intention of this perfume is not sexy. After a dared and shocking start, the perfume quickly turns into a totally different texture that what I´ve seen in another range of perfumes.. like.. Blue amber - Montale, Amber Oud - by kilian, Ambre precieux, etc. This has clearly another intention. Something like ambered vanille but not in a sexy way if not in a powdery, comfortable, friendly and warm adorned vanille. This is not what I was waiting for, but being what it is, we have a masterfully well blended powdery and relaxing perfume, that uses ingredients to grab attention but in a safe way, on a secondary level to complement the main idea. Personally, I'd rather have this two intentions (seduction/endearing) separately in different perfumes.

Unique start, common and well mixed base.
Delightful and unique way in perfumery to start a dificult and astringent chord of oud, ambergris and rose. Like no perfume that I could test. Then begin to shine the saffron and soft ambered texture. Starts very promising, but then the initial strenght goes down and ruins, in my opinion, a perfect smell; an "unstable-stabilized" perfection of oud. Perfume turns into an ambered soft common base mixed with saffron that we all have seen before, and we can get of many other perfumes in a cheaper range of prices. I can see clear references to Red Aoud of montale. Worth the price? Sample yes. Full Bottle.. I don´t think so..
