Finally, some citrics for me
Citrus notes, after all, people like. They brighten the mood, create wearable warmth in summer and freshen the air. Products in the retail trade like to make themselves more attractive to consumers in this way, be it the room freshener in the bathroom, a fabric softener for the laundry or even a shower gel under the shower of water. Lemon and co are as well known as they are popular and it is this very prominence that bores me, downright puts me off. Too often fragrances with lemon, orange etc remind me of common household remedies that I really can't smell anymore. The nicer it is when I am convinced of the opposite - as just with this one - Arancia di Sicilia

Admittedly, it is here less about the above-described scent of lemon, but much more about the blood orange. Nevertheless, this fruit counts as a citrus fruit for me. It is the main protagonist of the perfume and convinces me with its authenticity. Even if it comes across as very synthetic and squeaky at first, it then transforms into a real blood orange. A fruit whose reddish juice just emerges from the pulp and drips into a chilled glass. I'm on holiday again, the evening sun irradiating people's already tanned skin. The shallow summer warmth draws people out into the fresh air. And, I mean, what's better now than a touch of tangy-sweet lightness on the skin?
Arancia di Sicilia doesn't smother you - no - the scent is anything but dense. Rather, he warms cool hearts, provides a good mood and smiling faces. The fruitiness is rounded out brilliantly, though the only thing I really detect is a hint of cinnamon. And it is precisely this cuddly spice that gives the fragrance its warmth. Briefly, the spices even take over, leaving me to ponder... for a moment. Is this a pure spring-summer fragrance or does it also go in the winter?
But already a short moment later, the blood orange fights out again and lingers- magical.

To break the whole thing down a little:
For me, this scent is still too little on everyone's lips, because this is no ordinary citrus scent that just refreshes you. You get more than that.
It remains a spring-summer fragrance and so I too finally have a citrusy fruit freshener that doesn't bore me, it just makes me happy. He is wearable in any situation and, if you ask me, an absolute Crowdpleaser.

In this sense, happy sniffing

Only the most beautiful come into the garden
After Erba Pura and the Alexandria series, of course I couldn't pass up Accento Overdose. Whether bottle or fragrance profile - once again Xerjoff hit me right in my fragrance heart. And what can I say... I really did not know what awaited me.

First of all, let me talk about the musk, which doesn't appear anywhere in the pyramid. Because in the first few seconds blows me exactly that: pure animalic musk with Erba Pura character
Fortunately, this lasts only for a brief moment, then the animal in the fragrance evaporates and the botanical opens its gates. The transition to the floral character is relatively brisk. Meanwhile, Accento Overdose turns fruity and creamy. I really didn't know what was coming next at all at this point. In terms of suspense, this Xerjoff gets full marks from me anyway, because rarely have I been so excited, so interested and so attentive as here.
At first, creamy fruit sweetness evaporates and the floristry shows itself in its most beautiful form. In my mind the thought was quite clear - I am entering a florist's shop where expensive bouquets of the finest blooms spring has to offer have just been stitched. White roses, green grasses, and water in the air. A florist routinely ties a bouquet and places it in a glass vase, arranges it, drapes it around as if she has never done anything else. A wide variety of roses demonstrate their power, competing in scent, filling the air with transparent beauty that is unquestionable.
Just a moment later, the next door opens and behind it lies a botanical garden laid out in paradise. Only selected plants that have just reached the peak of their blooming period are to be found here. Sky-high cacti, garishly coloured orchids, rare shrubs and much more grow here competitively. The air is warm and humid - ideal conditions for exotic flora. Withered petals have been removed from the plants; they would spoil the scent experience. I step over the threshold, the roses move into the background and all-familiar jasmine tries to prove itself. The tropical notes are very authentic, quite fresh and bright. The door to the florist's shop is still open, so the roses mingle with the paradisiacal scent- and it's out-of-this-world good. Rarely have I been so impressed by a rose-jasmine as I am here. Gradually, other floral notes join in, giving the perfume its complexity. A mixture of the most unknown plants meet, sometimes it doesn't quite harmonize, then again totally. I am torn. Arrived at its heart Accento Overdose remains stable and persistent - on clothes and skin - just everywhere.
It's gripping and not for the faint of heart. This Xerjoff can score with everything - whether durability, development or sillage - simply outstanding.
A noble, stand out fragrance that you should have smelled once.

Jasmine on vacation
After all, we all long for that one scent - that one perfume that evokes an emotion in us. We search and search for that one thought, that one feeling that we had "back then".
Back then under the palm trees in the hanging chair...
Back in that one winter with that one person...
Each of us has a different "then" and each "then" smells different. But what all these moments have in common is that they have managed to burn themselves into our brains. Even if we didn't think about it for years, didn't even feel the situation was special at the moment in question - the moment remains.
For a long time I doubted it when people described such Dèjá Vu's to me. I simply could not imagine how a fragrance could evoke a memory. It's just a perfume after all...

Yet Terracotta did it. Exactly what I never dared to dream has come to pass.

Me 10 years ago
back on our annual vacation to Italy with my family. Every morning, after eating breakfast together in our dinky vacation apartment, we would head to the beach. On the way to the sea, we walked every day past the pool of our holiday apartment, which we used not once. The stone pool was surrounded by jasmine bushes that slowly released their blossoms into the air. Of course, many of these blossoms ended up in the water of the pool and the caretaker did not take his job very seriously. So it happened that the blossoms often gathered in the water overnight, were irradiated by the sun and moved with the waves. The whole thing led to a veritable jasmine wind that blew at you as soon as you so much as glanced at the pool. At the time, I didn't care for the sight or scent of the jasmine flowers. But I never forgot that scent, which I realized the first time I sniffed Terracotta. I was totally blown away by the idea that this perfume is capable of evoking a moment in my mind that I didn't live through for 10 years. I feel pure gratitude for the perfumer and the house of Guerlain. Nothing gives me what Terracotta can give me - nothing at all

Pineapple on mass
After I had paid no attention to this bottling for 2 months, it was now time. Without a look at the pyramid I let myself fall into the adventure... and what can I say... that was it actually.
My first thought after letting the alcohol evaporate on my skin: Wow, this one really has something going for it.

Promptly pineapple makes itself felt, a very fresh pineapple, which is just cut open. In me memories come up to my kindergarten time, in which the pineapple filled most of my break box. Immediately, the familiar and comforting scent filled me with joy and sunshine. This initially very prominent pineapple is joined by orange and the two begin to dance together. Pineapple leads, orange lets itself slide and moves with - so I like it.
I hardly get anything from the spices, they probably rather watch as the two swirl across the parquet. But that's just as well, because the two need no one else to shine.

After a while, the scent becomes more elegant, powdery, and a little soapy. I suspect that the roses have their fingers in the pie here. They do not exactly lighten the mood - rather, they give the fragrance seriousness and class. The roses are rather content with themselves and don't really want anything to do with the tangy-young pineapple at first. Fortunately, the roses open up a bit and engage in a joint dance with the fruit. The scent has been quite exciting and varied up to this point, but that's about it. On my skin is danced exactly so further.

One thing is for sure, this fragrance makes a good mood. The tangy fruitiness, the feminine flowers and in addition a slightly sweet finish...
However, it is not exactly a fragrance for every occasion. I find it too powdery, too sharp and too elegant to wear it for a sofa evening with my girls.
Lamar also needs space to fill. On the one hand, this is due to its powerful and dynamic fragrance profile, and on the other, its performance in terms of charisma, which brings us to performance.
And it really impressed me, too. The fragrance has a very strong sillage and lasts on my skin all evening.
I think the pineapple, which, by the way, runs through the whole scent, makes the fragrance spring fresh. Also in the many a summer evening you can do nothing wrong with it.

the silent vanilla
I must already admit, Vanilla Shot has not disappointed me, on the contrary.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the fact that the vanilla here wasn't crammed in like I've seen in fragrances with "vanilla" in the name. The title Vanilla Shot screams gourmand, linear delicious vanilla scent, which I would have been very excited about a few years ago. By now, however, I have a certain standard for a perfume.

That's why I was all the more euphoric when I treated myself to my first Vanilla Shot in the evening.
A good portion of unsweet saffron mixed with coriander and the rest of the spice aromas that can still be found in the spice collection wafted towards me. You have to like the synthetics in the scent, because they don't exactly hold back here. However, it does not bother me at all, because they harmonize exquisitely with the spices and the dried fruits.
Initially, Vanilla Shot stings a little, because the synthetic Kompnenten must first settle a little. But that passes relatively quickly and remains an extremely spicy, aromatic and portable synthetic fragrance.
I would almost go so far and claim, the name of the fragrance is misleading.
Because contrary to what you might suspect, you're not experiencing a shot of vanilla liqueur here. Rather, you feel transported to a moment when you're rummaging through your large tea collection consisting of various spiced and fruit teas for your favorite. It's as if you've entered a deli and you follow the scent your nose picks up until you eventually end up in the tea and spice section.
I can't exactly say whether I would describe the scent as warm or cold, for me it's actually in the middle, which is why I can definitely imagine wearing it in the summer.

The vanilla is there, but it is not in the spotlight. However, it decorates together with the caramel the entire fragrance with authentic sweetness.
The fragrance profile thus also appeals to fragrance maniacs who do not go for the squeaky sweet Vanillegourmands.
I am ultimately very happy to have tested it. Whether he is a candidate for purchase, I do not know yet. The performance is also quite good, however, I'm not sure yet whether I would reach for it often enough that a purchase would be justified...what can I say...always the same dilemma ;-)
