Poopy opening, floral later
Poop in earth surrounded by freshly stomped on flowers. That's what the opening of Spring Flower smelled like. Maybe Creed intended the opening to resemble the Lantana camara flowers, if any of you are familiar with it, it is also known as 'bunga tahi ayam' or 'chicken poop flower' in Bahasa Melayu.

That poopy smell never really goes away for me, unfortunately. I do get more of a fresh floral-fruity projection after about 30 minutes, which is nice, but when I put my nose next to my skin, I get poop poop poop.

Apart from that poop-on-skin smell, the rest of the perfume was alright. It was a decent fruity-floral that didn't scream sweet but was not too tart/syrupy or even bitter. Nothing to write home about, but a pretty spring-like one to try if you like fruity-florals.

I do wish I did not have that earthy poop smell. It really messed up the experience for me, and I'm not sure if it is just my sample, or my skin, but it is what it is and because of that, this is not a positive review, but I do hope it works as well for you as it did for so many other people!

Succulent, romantic, alluring rose
Tous Rosa is a breath of fresh rosy air. It's rich but not overpowering and has a sparkling quality about it.

Right off the bat, rose makes a deliciously succulent entrance that to me, is very reminiscent of Carolina Herrera's 212 Rose. But this has a more delicate texture, that seems to swing between light and mildly heavy. As it progresses, it only gets juicier and juicier, but quite alluring, which I will attribute to musk and something like a woody note. Rosa then ends on a musky skin scent which is still oddly attractive (I don't find skin scents very attractive).

Yes, it is sweet, but not cloying. It wears like a young lady who is just beginning to leave her mark in the world, in a big and powerful, yet soothingly feminine manner. Romantic is actually a pretty good word to describe Tous Rosa.

Overall, very elegant, very feminine, and incredibly lovely. This goes straight to the Wish List. It is at the end of winter that I am testing this, but I imagine it would blossom well in warmer weather.

Feminine musky rose
I should begin this review by saying that this was love at first sniff for me.

From the nozzle of the manufacturer's sample, this smelled almost smoky, which made me hesitate to try it, but on the skin it translates to a beautiful musky rose. As far as I know, there are no roses in the notes, but peony does have a tendency to resemble roses, and this is a brilliant example of that!

It is fairly linear, but beautiful all the way. Fresh and floral, with just a touch of sweetness, this just speaks of femininity that is both delicate and strong at the same time. It brings to mind a woman who can be girly and chair a board meeting AND be respected for it, all at once! And when she's done with that, she'll be able to hold her own in her relationships too.

I hesitate to say that Nirvana White is a special fragrance simply because there are no tricks to be had, but it is beautiful. If you love peonies or roses or musky florals, this is worth a try.

I really want a full bottle now!

Soft, pleasant, but disappointingly boring
Straight from the nozzle, you could smell the musky peonies, and this is what I first perceive on my skin, along with a bergamot-like presence that is peppered with peach. It's actually a little richer than I thought it would be, but still manages to retain a somewhat light quality throughout.

As far as I can tell, it doesn't develop much, apart from becoming a little more fruity as it wears on. Its powdery texture reminds me of some other rose-centered perfumes that I've tried, but have no fear rose-haters, it doesn't resemble a rose in any way, even though at some points, it gets a little jasmine-esque. A while before it dies, it gains a deeper creamy peachy woody (forgive the many y's) feel that is like a pretty skin scent.

In more ways than one, L'eau Jolie is a disappointment, to me, that is. It feels like a lazy perfume that refuses to accomplish its full potential. On me, it is neither rich nor light enough, neither fruity nor floral, neither powdery nor soapy enough. With some perfumes, combos like that work, but with this, it just feels half-baked. Lukewarm. I wish Lolita Lempicka had worked on giving it a defining edge, rather than leaving unfinished ends.

It is not horrible, by any means. In fact, I do believe that this would make a rather unoffensive day-to-day perfume, but it's just not one I would bother getting an FB of, which is terribly disappointing because I can see how this can be a fairly elegant and feminine perfume. I'm sorry to say that there are better perfumes out there with similar notes that do a better job.

The Surprise Vanilla
Hanae Mori opens with a strong backed-by-mild-citrus-vanillic smell - so strong that I had to double check on various sites to ensure I did not miss "Vanilla" somewhere on the list. It stays that way for several minutes before toning down a tad and allowing a slightly musky and floral (maybe even a tad spicy) sandalwood to peek through. This stage lasted a LONG time, with the "vanilla" (still do not know where that's from) gradually allowing more creamy berries and flowers to show.

Because of how creamy it is, I'd say it's a semi-heavy perfume, definitely not one I'd put on on warm, humid days. I tested this when it was about 10 degrees Celsius out, and I still felt like it was a bit too much for me, but then again, this is a matter of personal preference.

I did enjoy this although I found myself wishing it did not have such a dominant vanillic presence, but overall it came across as a gentle, delicate, feminine, and mature (not necessarily old) scent that brings to mind a meadow filled with baby pink and white flowers. Never too sweet or too floral or too fruity.
