way to soapy for me to like it! it's been done before, just go buy some green bar of soap they pull on this stile oh so much, so much! yes I own it but it was given don't mean I have to like it because I don't! lol

this is very woody but the first blast yu can smell the alcohol! this is a first for me from this house! never had that issue before it go's away really quickly though! so thats a plus! it's not sweet at all so for warned! it's woody smoky Earth but even has this fresh water driftwood smell to it as if you are at the lake turning this to a kind of woody freshwater aquatic I mixed a rub of Labdanum with it to experiment adding a little sub sweet sandy smell to it but thats me experimenting lol
have you ever smelled a fresh cork board at school when you where little? this fragrance smells like that but with much less smoky harsh vibe (I Always LOVED!!! The smell of fresh cork board!!

when I first smelled this it was different not some thing smelt close to it before! honestly could not tell is I liked it or not and was even leaning my self to the eeah not so much, but chose to keep trying it out of public lol and noticed not only that it has a beautiful dry down mid but also a beautiful incensesy vanilla end! the top is complicated interesting and un-expected which is the same reason why some will love it and others will not understand! it grows on you and I mean GROWS!!! this is truly one of the best rare gems out there!!!

I found this opening to remind me of a apple cider over tone version of trader joes holiday seasonal tea, it really smells just like it, maybe that's why I did not like its opening it was just like the tea except more synthetic
next comes a bit feminine if I smelt this on a woman at this stage I would not think at all that she was wearing mans cologne!
the end smells like a smoothed out moonlight path in-fact it's exactly the same!!!!
I use to use moonlight path lotion with layering always got complements and before nuit! 10-11years ago
but still I wonder if they just took the moonlight oil and dumped it in!

if you have been missing this ysl la nuit de l'homme because it don't last and reformulation sucks! this is a very good alternative!
however it starts out sweeter before it calms down to a nice ambery smokey woody version nuit!
when Ever I smell Nuit (new version) it always seems to be missing a note (cardamom) I wish I could say this had that in there but no it's missing the same note! :'( WHYYYYY!!!) but it has this other notes come in after the opening that really make up for it!!! and it really makes up for it ambery Woody powdery pure warming spicy smokey goodness is far better then what you get with ysl! nuit!
so here is the brake down

opening
it opens very VERY sweet and fruity backed by the amber and has a hint of spicy with a sneaking or peering over citrusy overtone that don't quite show what kind it is (orange) imagen this with la nuit and you have nabeels ajyal opening

middle drydown

(please note la nuit is the bases here its smell is in all ranges these are just added noticed notes)

now you can pick out the citrus in it and has settled down and the over sweet is no longer bam in your face! it actually smells like a lychee cutris note which is nice, a this is that place I was talking about ambery woody spicy powdery warming smoky goodness this is the place the fragrance absolutely shines

ending drydown

and are journey is ending we are camped out for the last night by the fire just kicking back with a stick pushing the coals watching sparks flying in the fire with crackles to remind you of flashing pictures moments of your-day relaxing and just enjoying your self under the stars at the fire

this is the picture it paints and even smells like in away
calming woody with hints of amber powder still lingering around
just calming warming relaxation chillin as some would say

and with that ends my review!
there is no alcohol syntheticness to this fragrance nabeel uses high quality components and while we can buy them at cheap prices don't forget that many of the components used in perfumery comes from there side of the map excluding 90% of the middle men trying to get his profits

this is not one to just pass on
and should be a must for any ysl la nuit lover
very beautiful unique fragrance

update: not quite as close to nuit as thought guess been awhile
it's very close to nuits middle dry down! but nuits openning smells closer to a seasonal tea at trader joes
plus nuits ending dry down is the same as moonlight path which explains why no one has been duplicating it!

in comparison to nuit I like this one more!! upside of moonlight path part which is a fragrance I use to use all the time as a (lotion) layering always got complements!!! man I miss moonlight path!!!

man please just try out this fragrance I gain nothing from you trying it its a true gem the moonlight path is still also in this one but with that beautiful smokey ambery over tone I was oh wait no I described of the feelings and pictures it gives, still a great alternative is truly no clone of ysl nuit!!! but completely worth looking into as an alternative especially if you love the idea of an amber dark smoky warming nuit
