Am I watching the wrong movie?
The first time I smelled the fragrance was on a very close friend. The kind of friend who sparks off sparks that jump out at me and vice versa.
She told me about the fragrance and I was super curious to smell it because there are so many different opinions (from heavenly to downright repulsive) in the community.
When we finally went to a concert recently, I noticed a distinctly deep and sweet scent on her and asked her directly if it was Supreme Vanilla and of course it was. We had a really good chat throughout the evening and had a really great time at the concert, although this was more in the background because we had very deep conversations and we were just having a great time.
When I went to Zara, I really wanted to see if it smelled the same on my skin and I was immediately taken aback: it wasn't at all what I was expecting and I thought I would have to be satisfied with the fact that I could smell it on my girlfriend.
It smelled kind of sweet and I hate to say it, but kind of like the bad breath of someone who has just smoked. How can that be? I was really disappointed because even after 10 minutes it didn't change..

After 20-30 minutes, I sniffed my arm again and was stunned! How the hell can a fragrance change so drastically? Of course I know that fragrances can develop, but I've never experienced it "like that" before...

I was delighted because I can smell the fragrance on me, which reminds me of a very special evening with a very special person.
It also lasted a very long time on my arm, smells incredibly precious and is worth every penny and more. You just have to give some fragrances time.

Now that's a catch!
I can already predict that this perfume has some of the characteristics of many of my most worn fragrances.

I didn't particularly like the beginning because it came out too youthful for my taste. But it was still spicy. When I smelled it again a few minutes later, I just said: "There! You're coming with me now."

It still smelled sweet but also very green but not grass green and a wonderful hint of balsamic spiciness. The first vibe I got was the greenness of Bon Parfumeur 603 but not so spicy (no twin) but also has something gris charming. Fun fact: I often wore the fragrances together. Durability for the price top! Lasts well on clothes. I sprayed it on at night to go to bed, had a very good night's sleep and the next morning I could still clearly perceive it.

The large bottle will definitely be moving in with me! And overall, I think the Vanilla range is just great! And there are a few good dupes too, see Hypnotic Vanilla!

Best recommendations from me, which are also easy on the wallet.

Sweet!
Over the last few months I've been flirting with Dior Poison EdP as it has evoked nostalgic vibez from my teenage years. I never owned it myself, as I was only loyal to the one (Summer by Kenzo) and as it kept my teenage wallet very small at the time, no other was an option.
The first time I tried the fragrance was when I was 16/17 and going on my first dates or when most people already had their first boyfriend. I was then presented with the Dior Poison EdT several times as a gift from the flames at the time and I also thought it had something.

Since I see it more as a cozy fragrance, despite its strong projection, and my collection of perfumes has grown over the years, it wasn't worth the money to me and today I extended my antennae at Parfumo. Lo and behold! I discovered something interesting here, went straight to the drugstore (SoCM sample not available) 30ml 5 euros. Bang! Blindbuy.
Is it worth the money? - Definitely more than that! (would have put 10 euros more on the table)
A little less fruity than the original, but for me it has exactly the attributes I'm looking for in a cuddly/nostalgic fragrance.

Not that a fragrance has ever killed my partner, but I don't want a perfume to be a little extra spark in tender moments and not take over as the main character.

Nevertheless, it doesn't seem too weak and if there are people out there who can't afford a lot of perfume in terms of money, I can also imagine it as a good layering fragrance.

Conclusion: I am a proponent of testing beforehand, but it was worth the exception here

End of Kill Bill
What have I not searched and inquired to find a super dupe to "Summer by Kenzo". I have never managed this in the last 6 years.
Not once after endlessly asking and researching.
Finally found this gem in the store today and I like it if not better.

Better durability. How it melts into my skin!
OMG! I'm almost rolling in tears....
The perfect blend of creamy, soapy (not too pungent). Most of all, rad how I came up with this one to test.

I was asked by a work colleague the other day what color I identify with the most.
The first thing that came to mind was BEIGE!
It's not my favorite color but I know how well I look with this color and it also has an almost magical effect on me. It grounds me in a way. If that makes any sense...
To get to the point,
It happened today at the Chanel booth in the department store when I saw the name and I immediately thought if the name is "Beige" it can only be the One. And bingo!

Now you can probably imagine me lying in bed sniffing my arm and almost crying. It's akin to the final scene of Kill Bill. When Uma lies teary-eyed on the tile floor in the bathroom and is happy because she got more than expected after her fight (unzwar her daughter.) Sounds exaggerated to equate this with a fragrance, but I do not care.

I'm soooo happy.... like I've found my personal holy grail.

Dreamlike!

Farmer seeks woman
Some moments in life can be really hard and really make you hate such a popular fragrance. I've ordered me ne sample because I've seen in various YT channels how often raved about it.

So the scent is sprayed, and the first thing I perceive is fruity, citrusy sweet, which is not bad. Then drydown but BAAAAM... I smell the moment when my then neighbor had his first date in our house with an acquaintance. Since this one is a dairy farmer, he always carries around a certain natural odeur. Which in itself doesn't bother me as I grew up with it and know the circumstances. However, he seriously tried to spray the whole thing over and what came out was a sweet rose scent mixed with güle. So he stood there dressed up as usual and a bouquet of flowers and I had to flee because I was sick, the lady probably didn't like it either. But I never asked her what the reason was for not allowing another meeting.

I thought the first time I sprayed the times to the HO. Then I sat there, the smell stung my nose so bad, I got reflexes and had to get in the shower immediately. I still tried it a few times to look at him differently. I heard this one has cola vibez and it's true for me too especially in the opening. In the first few minutes.... no problem at all. Having this on my skin for too long means not only a headache, but sweats and dizziness.
