This is 360º of peppery clary sage with its purest natural form. Animalic and body sweat-like in opening, allied with patchouli and bergamot to chill them out, but a thick attachment of tobacco and leather registers for a king-size warmth and dense bitterness, that continues the realm with Roi Sans Équipage's dry down where it meets warm, a bit sweet and smoky amber accord which I find too much for such opening.

Vert d'Encens is an amusing incense, that presents serious face of smoke mixed with jovial floral notes. The core still carries floral and newly cut woody tone, uplifted with a comfortable catholic coniferous incense. The only thing I obsess is this perfume verges to ambiance odor rather to be a personal fine fragrance, which is a common feature in all members of Les Extraits Vert.

Coarse opening of green vinegary notes immediately reminds macho verdant works of 70's and their brutal greenness but some powdery and woody air tones down this sour spicy aura. Vert des Bois is so similar to iconic greens like Halston and some others and less Tom Ford'ian. Gives me a sense of worry just the way classic greens do, but if you're a man for classics seize it cause no one dares to produce such greens these days.

Thanks to the hype trend of oud and ambers I have tried many gems in a galaxy of ordinaries, but L'Incendiaire is truly an exceptional quality. Not severe, introvert, exotic and woody like an old book of magic. In spite of its murmured performance a premium amber, plus dry animalic oud and myrrh deliver a comfortable smoldering mood, nevertheless, its prodigious priced and nothing new in return may turn Lutens fans dizzy. It's a unique experience of oud and darkness in modest longevity but it's an oud after all. Could be a hit ten years ago.

Cheap instant fresh barbershop opening with an oily unwelcoming tobacco in base that gives me vibe or troublesome sea. It's fresh and refined at one side but that poppy in the notes is a real bada$$. Sugar daddy and Mr. Way Too Much Cologne Wearer type of aquatic fragrance.
