An Absolute Room-Clearing Powerhouse!
Make a statement with 'Mad Madame'! If you want everyone to look up when you walk into a room, then this is the scent for you.

As with other JHAG fragrances, the main notes begin with some version of rose. Rose Oxide in this case, then there is also freesia, black current and lots of ambroxan (which I just learned is synthetic ambergris - thanks to the Googles). The scent finishes up a long time later with undercurrents of woods and dark, skanky animal sexiness. This is a very loud and bold concoction.

I really love it and I could easily douse a rag in this scent and wrap it around my head, but then I'm afraid I would drive everyone else out of the room. Maybe I would just use it when I'm alooooone.

For me, the projection is enormous and it easily lasts from morning until night. I have dabbed on before bed and woke up the next morning with the scent still surrounding, and lasts for days on the clothes. Mmmmmmmm!

A Light Musky Floral
Most musk scents that I've come across have been on the heavier side, but this seems very light. Is there such a thing as a light musk?

I get a big dose of orange blossom in the beginning along with the musk. This is a very lovely and interesting scent with lots of layers of complexity for me. Many different florals come through the center. It's too bad that I am not experienced enough to tell the florals one from the other.

This would be nice for the younger crowd. I find the projection and longevity to be average.

Lady Vengeance with a big gun!
Similar notes to Lady Vengeance, but way more clout in all aspects.

I've been doing little 'sips' from my sample over several days, and occasionally I get a big dose of rich chocolate at the beginning, which I find weird; but I love it, as it seems an extra bonus. This is not always the case, however, most of the time the progression is - rose, green herbs, patchouli, vanilla and on to a musky fade. Beyond that I am in agreement with Sherapop on all of the points in her review.

I love it way more than Lady Vengeance which seemed very light for me.

Great name... 'meh' scent...
'Lady Vengeance' is a great name for a scent.

This is the name of the fragrance that Natasha Fatale wears as she delights in her various criminal misdeeds along with her partner, Boris Badenov from 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'. Or beautiful Agent 99, trying to rectify the constant bungling of Maxwell Smart in 'Get Smart'. In my mind I see the spy girls from 'La Femme Nikita'. Bridget von Hammersmark from 'Inglorious Basterds'. Evelyn Salt.

Dark and dangerous, cunning and strong with deathly wicked sex appeal.

But the fragrance, not so much.

To me 'Lady Vengeance' is a middle-of-the-road, pleasant rose scent with green and patchouli. Nothing more than that and fairly linear in it's development.
Rose-green-patchouli-vanilla... marching on and on. I won't be investing in a whole bottle.

A beauty for the young'uns
Juliette sure does love her roses, right? I have tested 3 scents from this house so far and all have had rose notes.

'Miss Charming' gives me fresh roses evenly layered with spicy berries at the beginning. A tiniest bit of citrus as well. Very well balanced with each other IMO. Later on comes the rich musk and also a bit of soapiness for me.

I believe this is more suitable for a young person and also very feminine, for sure. The sillage and longevity are just adequate for me - not very strong, or long for either.
