Femme Fatale in red evening dress
A few minutes ago, I wrote a fragrance description for Poison Girl. For me, Hypnotic Poison is the absolute opposite.
I can throw on both scents like a disguise. Poison Girl turns me into Lolita, innocent but calculating.
Hypnotic Poison, on the other hand, transforms me into the famous blonde poison in the film Noir, which hires a stale private detective because it thinks someone wants to kill you. To a femme fatale that's twisting the head of that private detective. A woman who looks at what she wants and gives it to her at best. A woman about to be held monologues like

"It was one of those rainy Thursdays when she walked into my office. She had legs up to the sky and the scent of her skin was like hypnotic poison"

Hypnotic Poison is a very mature fragrance for me, without having this, often disturbing, grandeur of mature women's perfume. Wearing this fragrance often reminds me of wearing a red evening dress, which stands out among all the other dresses and people and attracts all eyes.

Especially the lily of the valley in combination with the jasmine gives Hypnotic Poison the volume to fill a complete room and still create a pleasantly distant bubble. Personally, I would generally describe the fragrance as very flowery. But maybe it's really just the lily of the valley, which I perceive as very strong.

Hypnotic Poison is a timeless classic for me, but I have the feeling that you have to grow into the fragrance first. I couldn't really smell it at the beginning (lily of the valley isn't really mine), but I caught myself sniffing my wrist all day long. So I do like him? Seems so.

I can say that Hypnotic Poison is one of the more mature fragrances in my collection. It's my costume when I'm demanding but at the same time distanced when Femme Fatale walks through the night in a red evening dress.

"I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me."

Lolita
The following text tends to exaggerate ;-)

It wasn't so long ago that I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed how grown-up my face had become. No, I don't have a problem getting older, but something was different. Promptly I took my old identity card to the hand. That's right, my face has become very mature. At the age of 20 I still had chubby cheeks and a moon face in general. Well, between the 20's face and the current 30's face lie 10 years, 35 kilograms less, more make-up routine and lots of party nights.
Then I had to find out that I like my face very much, as it is now. It looks very feminine with its high cheekbones and not so thick cheeks. When I prepare myself in front of the mirror, then I like to feel like a classic diva.

Yeah, I'm not the moon-faced kid anymore! I am a confident femme fatale.

But then I put on Poison Girl. And suddenly I am Lolita, who with her innocent but flirtatious aura turns men's heads and doesn't really understand what she's doing.

I'm not saying that Poison Girl makes you smell like a teenager (I smelled like synthetic strawberries and, surprise, vanilla when I was a teenager).
No, it makes you feel innocent but challenging and self-confident. You hide the true femme fatale behind the face of a child woman.

Poison Girl isn't a pure sweet scent to me. For me he carries something dark, something mature with him, without becoming as grumpy as a "real women's perfume". He knows how to hide the dark the complete course of the scent but not completely
The scent doesn't change great, at least on my skin. He has for me from beginning to end, this lasciviously provocative aura that makes him very interesting in my eyes.

Poison Girl is for me the Lolita among the Poison fragrances and definitely not only for young girls.

How I'm eating into myself in the little black dominoes.
This fragrance is my first encounter with Guerlain. And it wasn't love at first sight.
I was looking for a Christmas present for my husband and since it became a perfume again, I got La Petite Robe Noire as a sample with.
The little sample lay around for a while and fell into my hands again after a few days. Sprayed on and shrugged his shoulders. The little black one just didn't suit me. Had I perhaps eaten too many dominoes? I don't think it's gonna work out with us.
At some point, hours later, when I wanted to rest my head in the position of a thinker, the little black girl shot me in the nose again.

What the fuck? You're still here?
And suddenly I fitted into the little black one and it stood perfectly on me and again I was reminded of dominoes.

But why didn't I like it at first? The next day, I gave it another shot. Was it the top notes? No, I really liked them this time, although I can't sniff out any lemons apart from the fruits.
Maybe it was me, wasn't it? Maybe I didn't have the self-confidence to dress in the little black one in the morning. And why did I feel like dominoes again?

You could say it was love at second sight. And I fell so in love that La Petite Robe Noire became my signature scent. Since I am already a black bearer, the little black one also suits me in the office.

Durability is insane. I sniff the sweet cherries, the hearty almond that smells like marzipan and the delicate rose on my wrist all day long
In the base the scent is very dark, but I like it. Is it the smoky tea combined with the vanilla? In my opinion it is the only fragrance in the whole series that has earned the name La Petite Robe Noire.

And now, every time the pre-Christmas season comes, I buy 5 packs of dominoes and feed myself into my little black one.
Definitely a picture for the gods!

Let him make other girls happy or the smell of the ex-girlfriend...
Yes, I was. Tender 16 I was and completely inexperienced. I had a crush on a young man. The age difference back then was already significant and I just wasn't there yet. What true love means I didn't know for a long time and he wasn't looking for a real relationship. So I let him move on. He should make other girls happy and complete his "collection" with them.

I can only guess his name... was it Kay or Markus? What did he look like again? I think he had a big sports car... But I know he liked to smell Cool Water Woman from Davidoff on his companion.
And because I didn't have any money for such luxury things as perfumes when I was 16, I ran into the perfumery every time we met and dieselled myself with it. (I confess!)
And like so many things that only become clear when you grow up, I had to learn that this guy wasn't the great love, of course, and I can assume that his ex always used this perfume. That I am also not the lover of aquatic smells had itself out-crystallized meanwhile

Years later I actually bought myself a bottle of Cool Water Woman. Well, I had experience and money. After the first spray the memories of this time came immediately again. I was so glad that I remembered my good upbringing at the decisive moment and let him go. Nevertheless I like to remember the time and although Cool Water Woman is an aquatic scent, I like it very much.

At some point I used the scent only for sports and when the bottle was empty, it ended up in my bottle "collection". It never became true love, but it was a great time with him. Now it's in my collection and I'm ready for something festive.

For lovers of aquatic and fresh fragrances, Cool Water Woman is definitely a classic and I like it when it gets in my nose from time to time.

Let him make other girls happy!

The princess, dressed in rags
You can hold what you want from drugstore scents. You can also keep what you want from vanilla fragrances. And from this, in my opinion, pot-ugly presentation one can also hold whatever one wants.
But this smell surprised me. It is not like other vanilla fragrances, which remind of 90s disco and fragrance trees. He also doesn't just slap vanilla in your face like that, freely according to the motto "Please, smell like an alcoholic 15 year old". No, vanilla has to be worked for in a subtle way.
She's been there from the beginning, but in her own way.

A princess who lets herself be announced.
As herald she first sends the hearty carnations and the less conspicuous cinnamon. Shortly afterwards the flowery court ladies Rose and Jasmin come, which make the fragrance so interesting. And only at the end does Princess Vanilla reveal herself. She had been hiding the whole time and shows herself again in all her splendour at the end.
Without being pushy, she dances an entire evening with her court and disappears before becoming embarrassing and penetrating.

For me this fragrance is one of the best vanilla fragrances I've ever tried (and I've tried many, unfortunately). I am glad that I was not deterred by the design of the flacon and the outer packaging of the shower bath. This fragrance is not as flat as you might expect in the beginning.
Hopefully, Bettina Barty's Vanilla won't disappear from the drugstores at some point.
