On the trail of the big boss
I tested Tough Tonic by Maddox Mills because it's supposed to be so similar to my beloved Boss Bottled. Others say he smells like Roma, which my father had loved very much. I found that interesting, because I see there so garkarkone similarity:

It starts out interestingly woody and spicy.

After two hours, it is then fruity-woody, like the Boss, but darker and much more synthetic. No Boss Bottled. Rather, a completely independent fragrance that only goes in the same direction as the Boss.

From Roma he has for me but so nothing!

From the 5th hour he resembles for me even rather the "Cool Craft" from the same house. Citrusy-spicy-fresh with still viiiiiel synthetics. Silage and durability go now also arg in the knee.

I find him not unpleasant, but then stay leiber with the good old Boss.

An "Intense" would have been better
Unlike so many others, I quite like "Horizon". But it is too weak on the chest for me. Desshalb I have (and still hope) for a "Intense" of it, which also deserves this definition. This could be brilliant....
So when Horizon Extreme showed up, I was hoping to encounter the more intense Horizon here. And then when I saw Pyramid, it could have been even more interesting for my tastes than Horizon. Alas, that was not the case!

It starts out fruity, as expected, while also being unexpectedly smoky. That is already interesting.

After an hour, however, a synthetic sweetness develops that, together with the fruity smokiness, reminds me of Rammstein's Black Ash, Diesel Bad Intense, Joop Wow, or even Sculpture God's night. I probably like smelling this, but definitely not wearing it. This sweetness unfortunately gives the fragrance an increasingly "cheap vibe".

After six hours, the performance is then at the end. The annoying sweetness is now gone. In the skin close area, it has now become woody-smoky, which makes it very interesting for me. But unfortunately much too late. So I would have liked him from the beginning.

Horizon Extreme is thus for me a thoroughly interesting fragrance in the opening, but from the first hour then unwearable. In no way comparable with Horizon. Too bad!

So I'm still waiting for the Horizon Intense

Could have been something
I don't particularly like The Scent. But maybe the "private Accord" is a positive surprise, I thought. So I tested him times:

He starts spicy-herbaceous with something creamy in the background. That is already interesting.

After an hour I think: "exciting!" Now it has become woody-raucous, with a distinct creamy "candy vibe". A subtle gourmandness surrounds it. I somehow don't notice the fruit in it at all.
Something for winter and special occasions. Not noble enough to be considered a "gentleman's fragrance", but quite comparable to, for example, "Just Rock!" by Zadig&Voltair.

Fits brownish and black clothes, and the age group 30-60.

Up until this point, I would have definitely considered getting it. But then!
From the third hour or so, it just seems synthetic-sweet. Not a pleasant, but a cheap-seeming sweetness.

Too bad!

The master of the creamy
Dolce & Gabbana - The One. You love it, or you can't do anything with it. I'm so in the middle!

I had already heard and read so much about it.... So many swear by it, so many think it's THE fragrance par excellence, a must-have, a pantydropper, an ultimate gorgeous scent .... And I knew him still so gladly.
I had to test it.

So I did. The first time on paper and with a slight cold. Since I have nothing at all wargenommen!

The second time again on paper with a free nose. Well, an almond creamy scent that reminded me of a well-known body lotion with almond milk. Nice, but there I can also use the much cheaper and better for the skin lotion. Enthusiasm looked different.
But if so many are so enthusiastic .....!?

A last CHance on the own skin he should now still get:

It's just caramel creamy. Still reminds of the said body lotion. A beautiful fragrance, which I probably also like to smell. The nicest of the creamy ones I know.
But even so smell I would not want.

Only from the fourth hour I perceive in the background a spicy-woody note, which makes him a little more interesting. On me, it lasts a good 10 hours, then becomes skin tight, but remains present. But now the creaminess and woodiness are in balance. Now I would want to wear it too! But 10 hours lead time.... No.

Still, it is and always will be a favorite Seducer scent. And as such, there's certainly nothing wrong with having it in your inventory. I myself use it but only if I know exactly that my counterpart loves this fragrance. A small amount is enough for me. And here I also recommend to use the "Intense". The fragrance is the same, but is stronger, more present.

A subtle statement for everyday life
Etienne Aigner's Statement. 90s classic

The first Aigner fragrance I had come to know. However, only now. In the 90s he went completely past me.

Before I had but then really bought him, he had to go through only once three tests with me.
The first time, tested on paper strips, he left me undecided. Somehow he had what, but still could not really convince. He lacked that certain something. After I had then tested the fragrances of the similarly named, but still completely independent of the house "Aigner" (the connections between the perfume houses are a whole separate topic), the rank of three very similar fragrances turned out: "Statement" by Etienne Aigner from New York and "No.1" and "pour homme" of the house Aigner from Munich. All similar, but each nevertheless with its own focus. And with all three I was initially undecided whether I liked them or not.

After twice Neutest on their own skin, but then I was convinced.

The statement begins citrus-fresh and slightly fruity thereby. The silage is strong and corresponds to both the New York, as well as the Munich Aigner-typical ledrig-citrus base with a synthetic vibe. No spontaneous enthusiasm with me. But potential....

After an hour, it is then like a brother, of the Munich "pour homme". Only less peppery and more citrusy for it. Fresh he acts now hardly, so is not a Freshi, as the opening suggested. He is rather an autumn fragrance for everyday office life.

As with "pour homme" you have to go here with the nose a little at a distance to warnehmen the true aura of the fragrance. If you go too close, he defends himself with strong spiciness.

The price / performance ratio is good.

Its color is brown in variable tones.

It will suit best to gentlemen over 30.

In summary, we have here a rather subtle men's autumn fragrance for everyday life, which starts fresh, but then spicy-woody arrives on a citrusy -leathery basis. Stands side by side with its Munich cousins "No1" and "pour homme", although I think you really only need one of them. That's how similar they are. Depending on personal preference, you can set your focus here. For me, the "pour homme" fits best, because of its peppery-nutty drydown. But then I only wear it in winter. As a variant for the fall I use the statement occasionally in everyday life quite happy.
