Due to sentimental, beautiful memories of the scent of the oil bath earlier, I asked son today to bring me a bottle of the EdP from the discount drugstore with the horse, but when I heard the price, I ordered blindly equal to 2, because it was not more expensive than a room spray and I thought I can use it as such in case (the fragrance - not the son ? ).
So I feverishly awaited the arrival of my brood along with his prey, couldn't contain my curiosity when I finally held the two "bottles", which look like little deodorant cans, in my hands, sprayed directly onto my forearm - and recoiled :
The mist escaping from the compressed air sprayer spread like a deodorant in my environment and turned directly thereafter into a cloud of - cheapest hairspray ! ??
Irritated I took again the bottle under the magnifying glass, but according to its inscription it should be here clearly an EdP.

I tried the second flacon - unfortunately with the exact same result.

This smell (yes, Smell) has with the scent of Fenjal body care as much to do as an elephant with classical ballet and is not even suitable as a room spray, because the whole spook is over after about a minute and nothing, but also absolutely GAR nothing of it is perceptible - fortunately.

Since I was very pleasantly surprised by the PLV at Vanille Persuasive and have been looking for a nice café fragrance for a long time, a blind buy here seemed the logical consequence.
I know that this is not recommended here again and again, but with THE price I just couldn't help it ;)
Full of anticipation, I opened the package, courageously sprayed it on - and was horrified :
Not only none of coffee, but also not the slightest trace of it, neither in the head or heart notes nor in the base. Instead, the smell (yes, smell - not scent) of cheap dishwashing detergent with musty rose fortunately doesn't spread too far, because the sillage is also underground.
The bottle now finds its place in the cleaning agent cupboard - should I ever touch it again, then at best to scent the trash can.......

Evermore was the last fragrance I bought before my now grown son signed up. He was really talked into it by an acquaintance of mine who was also an Avon consultant (the fragrance - not the son :D). At that time I thought it was rather "quite nice" and at the moment I only bought it because I somehow liked the bottle.....
When the bottle was empty, I would never have had the idea to buy it again, and a decades-long perfume thirst period followed - somehow there were always other things that were more important :(

Thanks to Parfumo I was reminded of the fragrance again, now I got hold of a bottle at Etsy's (can I say this here ?) just for the sake of the bottle and the memories and was flat :
The fragrance has not changed in the slightest after almost 3 decades - and I really like it now ! This may of course be due to the beautiful memories of my son's birth and childhood, but I now regret very much that it was discontinued.

The fragrance is very feminine without being "madamish", fresh without being citrusy, warm without being sweet and floral without being boring. Ylang-ylang is constantly perceptible, but is elegantly balanced by sandalwood, amber and citrus, so that the composition of the scents is simply harmonious and the warm, elegant fragrance is wearable on any occasion.
The Sillage is strong without being slain and the shelf life of 6 hours is very good for an EdT - even more so when it has so many years on its back ;)
Over the years and after hundreds of tested scents I have never smelled a fragrance that resembled this one - I would have remembered ;)

I am very happy to have found him, I can now wallow in memories without it saying: "Oh Maaama......" :D :D

I would also like to comment on this fragrance now, but please forgive me beforehand for not being able to proceed in such a wonderfully professional manner as many here at Parfumo know how to do, but only for giving back my personal impression :

The top note immediately reminds me of the smell of the egg shampoo in the small cushions, which were available to buy in my childhood of the 60s in the swimming pools, which at that time were still called "Badeanstalt" (swimming baths), in addition there is a slight iron smell in the background, which probably gave its name here. Only very late in the base do I notice discreetly slightly smoky vanilla, similar to a vanilla pudding that is just beginning to burn slowly.

For me personally not necessarily beautiful, but still original.

After my passion for fragrances was on ice for more than 20 years for many reasons (raising children and the associated change in priorities and also the financial situation), I started 2 years ago to reforest my in the meantime very thinned out treasures.
With horror I had to find out that a large part of it is no longer produced and therefore I had to say goodbye not only to some beloved people but also to the scents that always reminded me of them
That's how I ended up at Parfumo and I have to admit that I could never have imagined that I would have been happy to be infected with a money-eating virus, but that's exactly what happened - and it makes me happy ????
First of all a big thank you to all of you and to Parfumo ❤️

Now Roma should finally find his place in my "Memories Department" again, so I ordered it, was very much looking forward to it and could hardly wait to get the bottle out of the packaging radiantly.
Of course I had indulged myself in 100 ml, but before it had only been enough for 30 ml - if at all.......

Full of expectation of the beginning emotional cinema I sprayed him on and was shocked - THAT should be Roma ?

I don't want to try to analyse single scents or their composition here - others can do that better here, but I want to try to give my personal impression of the difference between the original and the present Roma :

I knew Roma as a scent, which was very warm and cuddly despite a dimmed citrus note, for me it always smelled like a still warm lemon cake, which remained also in the further process like that and loosely 10 - 12 hours clearly perceptible remained, why it could be dosed economically
It was characteristic and so different from all the others that I always recognized it immediately.

What I now notice in the top note smells as if I was standing in a fir forest (?) next to a car with a running engine (?) and squeezing out a lemon - not unpleasant, but similar to the "real" Roma as they are ballet shoes for mountaineers.
After about 2 hours the scent is only very close and I smell almost only vanilla and lemon - arbitrary, nice, maybe even quite nice, just no Roma anymore.

Also a renewed test led unfortunately to no other result, I am infinitely sad and disappointed and can only hope that the memories of the humans, who carried this smell once, do not fade sometime exactly as Roma............
