I purchased Joie-Eclat Valeur Absolue as a blind buy on a shopping site. This was a good blind buy. It's a very citrusy and light fragrance. I do have to apply it twice a day. The beads in the bottle are supposed to help lift your mood as well. I don't know about that working but I do like the perfume.

I've purchased this as a sample in a quartet of scents. Tried this one first. The patchouli is strong and lasts all day on me. Even though it's labeled as unisex it's my opinion that it is male. A very empowered woman could wear it but not me. Going to give this to my husband. I think that he'll like it.

I discovered Bourbon French Parfums online when I was searching for an oriental fragrance that could be like Shalimar. As I searched the site I found several that intrigued me as well. I liked Kus Kus first because of the age of the fragrance. Something that's been produced since 1843 must have something good about it. I ordered the travel size which is a roller ball. The perfume website really doesn't tell you much about the fragrance so I checked forums for input on the notes of the perfume. I find it powdery on my skin. But it's a heavy powder. Not sure how to explain that. Sort of leaning a little bit toward the oriental style. I've been on a quest for over 6 years to find "my" perfume and I've yet to find it. I like Kus Kus and might buy another roller ball but I'm still pressing onward to find "my" scent. Unfortunately, Kus Kus isn't it.
