Beautiful Frollein, may I dare carry you home by my neck?
Recently, on my way home, I quickly went back to Douglas and was bored along the shelves. I already know everything, almost everything stupid... But I wanted to spray something on for the return trip, so that I have something to sniff on the way. So I went to Miss Dior, thought, he's actually nothing, and off to the parking lot. And glued to your wrist all the way through the ride. Must have looked weird...

This new 2017 version is badly criticized. I know the 2012 Miss and a few others, and unfortunately they were nothing at all for me. Almost all of them I found somewhat intrusive with a piercing note. That's why I always left out the new version. But what went from my wrist to my nose was love at first sight! And I bought it the very next day, the so often scorned Miss.

The Frollein opens tangy and fresh with mandarin. But very quickly the fragrance also becomes floral and warm. Miss Dior has a noble, wonderfully fragrant aura. Later on, the fragrance remains warm and velvety, and Patchouli gives depth, but is not as dominant as in the 2012 version. I also smell some vanilla.

This Miss is sweeter, yes, but I don't think the sweetness here is too much, but just right. For me this Miss is much softer, less chypry and thus the first Miss of so many that I really like. I love her! If I didn't think it was possible myself. It is wearable around the clock on all occasions, except perhaps in midsummer.

I understand anyone who's angry and/or sad when they're screwing around with their favorite scent. I feel the same way, after all. I can't take a joke either when my pets get fucked up. But: One person's suffering can also be the other's pleasure, in this case MY pleasure! I think this scent is much better now. So if you didn't like the other Miss Diors like me, you might also find a new fragrance love in them!

Heavy rose scent for real full women
After Tom Ford's Noir de Noir had inspired me so much (and still does), I started to be interested in other Rose/Patchouli fragrances as well. The Rouge Nocturne looked so nice, the descriptions read well, so I bought it blind (the madness won't get any less!). In the meantime I have burned about 10 ml of it and am still puzzling how I find him now. The best thing I can do is describe what I see:

"The performance is over. She sits in her theatre wardrobe in the basement, which is illuminated only by sparse light. She has already worn the dark red, heavy velvet dress to countless performances. It needs cleaning again. She looks at herself critically in the mirror. For a long time she will not be able to play the role of the young lover credibly, because it is not only obvious from close up that she is no longer young. Even make-up can't hide that anymore. Her face shines oily. She puts on another thick layer of powder and sniffs at the bouquet of blood-red roses that an admirer - she still has some - has put on her table..."

That may sound more negative than it's meant to sound. But these are my main associations with the fragrance: dark, fully blossomed roses with their velvety leaves, heavy sweetness, red velvet and powder/make-up. I find the scent fascinating, that's why I wear it again and again - mostly in the evening, for me alone. I think it's a velvety, heavy and somehow intimate rose scent, a scent for mature, mature full women, which I can't imagine in young girls.

But there is a disturbing factor: Somehow there is a greasy note above everything, especially in the initial phase. A certain oiliness. And this note is the reason why the scent is very interesting for me, but unfortunately not the hoped for big litter and therefore not a scent I would like to perform.

And yet, on the other hand, this scent won't let me go. So I keep wearing it in my boudoir at night...

Flowery newbie with that certain something
In this late autumn, which is still relatively warm, I still have no desire for cuddly fragrances. But summer scents are also out for me now. So we had to find another "in-between thing". Woman never has the right thing - neither to wear nor to scent.

And so I bought Florabotanica, of course again in ignorance of this fragrance. Sometime tested and discarded, by a certain woman L. but as so often already fixed... and struck.

Well, what can I say: Me and FLORA! And also BOTANICA! I'm surprised it's gonna work out. I'm surprised myself. Because the scent is really beautiful, although I don't usually have it with flowers. And with other green stuff like stems, leaves etc. also not. Let them stay where they grow. But already with the first sprayer I was positively surprised. And I was even more surprised when my sweetheart, who is developing an ever finer nose, said in a test sniff of my arm: "He has something, something individual. Smells really good!" Well, and he's right!

I don't smell mint myself. This means that I would have imagined this actually present note to be present as well. But it doesn't matter. Florabotanica simply smells pleasantly flowery, fresh, but not too fresh, and with me also powdery. Clean, but not too neat. Fortunately not too green and not too bitter. Sweet, but not. I'm not.

Florabotanica is a fragrance with recognition value. It always goes. When warm it conveys a cool freshness, when cooler it exudes a warm freshness and does not make you shiver. A scented chameleon. It is ideal if you don't want to get on anyone's nerves with your musk, patchouli, vanilla or other crackers. Or just can't have the same good himself. In business anyway, when you don't just want to smell boring after a "fresh shower", but fresh, but with that certain something. Definitely signature-suitable. Because it is perceived (positively) and also holds well.

Oh yes, and the bottle: I just think it's mega-chic!

Rocky's Westwood's memorial service
Dear mourners!

We are gathered here today to say goodbye to Let it Rock. On this sad occasion, I would like to say a few personal words. Let it Rock - I call her Rocky in the following for simplicity's sake - came into my life by chance. I only met her one or two years ago - I don't know that exactly anymore - when I dared to exchange a nice perfume with her. Since I already knew and appreciated some of Mrs. Westwood's daughters, I was very excited to meet Rocky. At that time I could not have guessed that we were only allowed a short time together.

So we got to know each other, and there was immediately an intimate, deep affection. Cause you had two qualities that I really appreciate: Amber and Patchouli. You gave me warmth when I needed it and were a faithful and constant companion, especially on cool autumn days. Like a golden cape you wrapped yourself around me, your wonderful fragrance merged with my skin. If only I had guessed how soon you would disappear forever, I would have taken precautions!

If you want me to describe you with short words, the following occurs to me: Amber gold, velvety, warmth, well-being, precisely dosed sweetness, cuddly, imparting strength. Because in spite of all the cuddles you were also grown up.

But now the time has come: I must let you go forever. All the pleading, searching and researching has helped nothing. Whoever has you won't give you away. To me, you, one of my most loyal friends, are now lost. You're not here anymore. I have to accept that and will use the rest of you wisely and celebrate every drop with pleasure. I'm gonna miss you so much.

And now, dear mourners, we're all listening to the song "Time to say goodbye" *schneuz*

RIP

Barely sniffed, already enchanted
Sometimes I have strange desires. Recently, I felt like a green, woody, tannic fragrance - completely off my beaten track - and I came across Enchanted Forest. Thanks to a dear Parfuma my wish was fulfilled immediately and I had the opportunity to test it in all peace. Thank you, you love!

I spent many summers in Sweden's woods. I wandered. Enjoying nature and silence. The forest. The lakes. The rippling streams. I collected mushrooms, blueberries and raspberries almost meditatively, forgetting to listen to the noise of the trees, sucking in the scent of the fir trees. And I thought if I sprayed that scent on, it would catapult me right back there. However, this is not the case. But it's also a magic forest. And there it smells obviously nevertheless differently...

The start is spicy and herbaceous, but still soft and not scratchy. Little by little the currants are added, which are neither sweet nor sour, but are very pleasant. The herbaceous "Waldige" offers a very good contrast to the fruity sweetness. But there's something else in the background, and that's probably what makes it so magical, because describing this fragrance as fruity and green is not yet enough to do it justice. It's like walking deeper and deeper into the forest and discovering that a lot of things are hidden behind the trees.

I smell smoke from far away, a tiny breath only and not always. And animals or other magical creatures are of course also in the forest, but the animal, if you want to call it a note here at all, is extremely discreet. These additional components, of which more can certainly be discovered, are not constant, are there and gone, but they give the fragrance that special something, give it depth and make it much more complex than just fruity and green, even if the main theme is clearly currants.

Enchanted Forest is a very soft, rather fruity, flattering fragrance that is easy to wear. I had suspected a smell rather than a perfume based on the descriptions, but for me it is clearly a perfume. An outsider would probably not say: "Here it smells like forest", but rather: "Here it smells good". Ideally at least ;). All ingredients are woven into a harmonious whole. I haven't smelled anything like it yet.

Conclusion: The fragrance doesn't remind me of Sweden's forests, but that's not even necessary. Enchanted Forest is a very interesting, soft, unusual and well wearable fragrance, which I constantly have to sniff and which somehow doesn't let me go. Obviously his spell is already working!
