Knucklehead

Two years ago in December I could not resist! Doesn't come from anywhere, by the way. My mother had bought "Opium" for the first time in 1979 and since then she had it in her collection again and again. Until now and today. I grew up around the fragrance. I still like to smell it. Even if it's a little weaker than before. (My sensation)
I had a day off during the week. Always very pleasant. Because then you don't have all these people around you like on the weekends. You have time! Plenty of time.
So I decided to visit a perfume shop. Without testing any other scent I went directly to YSL "Opium Eau de Toilette" pour Homme. Tester in hand, lid off and "spray"! What a gentle blow hit my wrist! Suddenly it was warm and really winter in my nose! (On the day after the shave I applied extra only an odourless body lotion)
I couldn't help but get a spray on the neck. Let it work and enjoy! What a smell! Simply wonderful and almost never smelled! Just great!
(Don't be offended that I am always very reserved with the technical terms because I simply never find the words!)
I bought a 100cc right away. Bottle of the finest quality.
In the beginning I only wore it in colder temperatures. But then the curiosity came to wear it at 32° Celsius. It works even then. But if - discreetly applied! Because then ingredients come to the fore which are not so effective at colder temperatures. Great!

Then last year around autumn.
The curiosity about eau de parfum became unbearable! But I was careful and looked at sales portals first. I wonder if somebody doesn't like the scent and wants to have it away for a bargain price? Because now comes the hack to it. It is almost nowhere available! At least here in Switzerland.
After feeling two weeks in the net rummage I finally found a seller who sold 50 ml (there is not bigger) of the fragrance for about 25 €. New and welded. "Because he got it as a gift but can't stand it" a bargain.
After querying the batch code I bought it. With a kiss on the hand at that price. ;)
A few days later the package arrived and I opened it immediately.

Foil off, cardboard on, flaps left and right off.....and already there was very little smell. But really very little. Bottle out....violet lid off and then the event of the day: spray!
One right on the neck. What a bomb. What a blast of currant and vanilla. A direct announcement! Not for sissies! No, not with me! I'm made for man-centred men. It was a miracle I didn't fall off my saddle
And the durability is terrific! All day long it remains well preserved on the skin. On clothes it even stays forever.
Now that I knew that the scent was almost nowhere to be found in this country, I searched further and found an OVP version that is stored in a well kept cabinet. Because the first bought fragrance is still 3/4 full. You really only need 1-2 sprayers maximum! Otherwise it could spill into the negative.
What I would like to say is: if you use public transport apply it early enough. Because I can imagine that there is a certain envy factor. ;)
In any case, he is certainly not necessarily the Blinkauf candidate. Test him and get to know him.
He became a very good buddy! And not everyone has that honor with me!

Hanae Mori!?! Never heard of it. Or just at a glance? Must be honest: through Parfumo.de I have once again discovered another pearl. Unfortunately there are not many contributions and statements available yet. And yet: it was enough to order the eau de toilette blind. No sooner said than done!
The postman put the scent in the milk crate last Friday. Full of zest for action to finally sniff the scent I started to unpack the water.
The bottle looks great. The cover resembles a nut. Passes! Because I am still a bit of a hobby wrench on American motorcycles and Amish sleds.

But now to the fragrance (please excuse me if I don't use technical terms): After showering, sprayed directly on the still warm skin, I experienced a very great citric freshness that went up my nose. Not aggressive! No, a very great note! This actually remained for quite a long time in a fine-intense fragrance. In addition a light sweetness was added which did not take overhand. Even the slightly floral notes do not make the fragrance "unmanly".
All these ingredients alternate wonderfully throughout the day. Really very special! The durability is actually relatively good. Lasts about 7-8 hours with me at this time of the year. On the shirt I smell it discreetly the next day. However, one must assume that it may not last as long in summer when it is hot. At least on the skin.

Conclusion:
One of the greatest blind purchases I have made in a long time.
Despite the faint floral notes and little sweet citric, it remains masculine. Because if you want freshness, HM Eau de Toilette is the perfect choice! And: for a fresh fragrance like this, the shelf life is quite tolerable.
If you don't want 0815 fragrance, this is the perfect solution!

After long pondering and testing I have now purchased a Buddel Gentleman Cologne.
Now he has the ability to start exploding and then fly away incredibly fast. It was no different in the test phase. But he had to come! He's got something other scents don't. Don't ask me what it is. But there is something!
Well, as I said, he's not gonna last a normal working day. On the clothes in the evening still perceptible however with me after 3 to 4 hours the puff is out.
That's too bad I have to mention that I needed 6-8 or 10 sprays. Yes!
Then came the day when I dared to think about giving it away.
No! But then I thought to myself again. Because there's something special about it.
Well dear people now came a solution!
I wear the scent in the evening after the shower or before I go to bed. Wonderful! No more 6 to 10 more sprays! Just two more.
Then I can enjoy it in peace - the special one with the certain something!

Well: I became attentive here on parfumo.de to the smell. I rummaged full of delight in the statements and all the comments. I read so many positive words that yesterday I decided to visit a perfumery nearby and test this classic.
So I drove there and only with the aim to finally sniff out the scent before my eyes. The smart lady at the bar greeted me friendly with the words how she could help me. As I was enjoying a day off, I just came into the fragrance shop with a fresh shower. I put on a pinch of "opium pour homme." Well, this smart lady had guessed the scent... A trained nose! A lady of the trade! Whoa! I'm in good hands here! What I'm looking for, she meant. I described the fragrance I imagined. Then we went to the men's fragrances together. The "current hits" had already flown past us. Now the lady stood with Guerlain. Habit rouge. Another 100 points because I own the EdT. Then we went to Dior. Now the nice lady pulled out the "Eau Sauvage EdT". Left wrist! Fresh and citric. Well-being. But already after a short time -sickly- volatilized. Too bad...
Then she grabbed the eau sauvage perfume. Right wrist. WOW!!! What a bomb. What an explosion that took place! What a special fragrance. And how long the shelf life. The longer it's applied, the better it gets. I was absent for a moment and cruised with my 1960 Chevy Impala on Route 66. Windows open, elbows out and a portion of Southern Rock! Asskickin' Southern Rock.
The nice counselor must have looked at me. Cause she didn't ask me to test another water anymore. That must be it now. Now and not tomorrow. I thought so.
So I told the lady I'd take the scent with pleasure. She's the best counselor I've ever had!
I ran past Mainstream to the checkout and wallowed a little in the dream of before.
The saleswoman - oh yes - by the way, her name is Leonie, packed the scent into a great bag and handed it over to me with a pretty smile.
Now I left the scent house again. With a broad laugh on his cane teeth and a rebel in his pocket.

I've been the owner of a bottle of Habit Rouge for a good three months now. Due to the good rating and the fragrances I like, I became aware of him. I don't regret for one moment that I bought it.
Well, I'm not a guy who always has to keep up with the times. I listen to Rockabilly, but I'm not a teddy bear, I come across a great one, and I live the wild style of R`n`R.
When I sit down on a day off in my 1960 Chevy Impala and cruise with it through the area, then exactly the effect of Habit Rouge is coolest for me. It just all fits together.
I prefer to wear it on weekends. That gives me time to really enjoy it.
I'm gonna need a few more sprayers. At least in the evening in the disco or at the festival. The good ladies whether young or old, ask me again and again what I sprayed myself there. He really fits into my world. Into the wild time of Rock'n'Roll!
I'd never give up that smell again.
Because 0815 has never been my style
