Like the kiss of a butterfly
The fragrance is a dream in my opinion. It starts floral and fresh, I smell grassy violets and sweet gardenia; some powdery jasmine and soft rose. In my mind's eye, I'm walking across a green meadow. Here and there, purple violets have pushed their way through the grass; to my right, white gardenias bloom. I spread out a picnic blanket and sit down, breathing deeply, enjoying the smell. Spring. The sun warms my skin - a deep calm comes over me. The scent remains floral-green, but softens. So I sit there for a few hours, absorbed in my thoughts. Bees buzz around me, a butterfly flies by. It sits down on a blossom, pauses - just for a moment - and then moves on. The scent does the same: after less than six hours, I perceive it only in my hair.
A far too short pleasure.
To the sillage: The seems to be low like the durability; my husband had to lean over to me - although we were sitting in the car - to develop their own assessment of the perfume. His verdict: Smells soapy and doesn't suit you.
I'll probably still have to wrestle a bit with me, whether a purchase is worthwhile for me.

Lily of the valley against freesia
At first, the fragrance has enchanted me and surprised - he does not fit at all in my Beuteschema. But the prelude is fresh, green and insanely alive. I felt as if I were sitting in the garden, surrounded by blooming flowers. A fantastic bouquet! Is it the freesias? I don't know, my nose is still too untrained for that. Anyway, my late grandpa loved freesias....
I spent the first ten minutes with my nose glued to my wrist. But then there was some housekeeping to do - and the next time I sniffed my wrist, everything inside me contracted! Lily of the valley! Help!
I have since learned that I have a massive problem with lilies of the valley. Well, not with the ones in the garden, but with the ones in the bottle and especially with the ones on my skin. To me they smell bitter, musty and a bit like chamomile. And they unfortunately ruin the whole scent for me. After about 3 hours, I only smell lily of the valley; but that's only so close to my skin that the whole scent has actually almost disappeared again. Well, for me also not bad. For the price I find that but already weak.
Maybe I should test more fragrances with freesias in the future?

A roaring orange blossom and filter coffee milk soup
Orange blossom and me - it's a difficult relationship. At first I love the smell, it beguiles me, draws me under its spell. But over time, it becomes too loud for me, I get a headache or I feel sick. I was hoping with Black Opium, the dark notes would tame the orange blossom a bit. Well... a mistake.
The scent starts out beguiling. WOW! I am blown away! The orange blossom is so vibrant, so alive.... but... why does it roar like that? It's just yelling at everything! Oh, there's the vanilla. But coffee?
During my voluntary social year I started drinking coffee. In the white-tiled canteen kitchen there was a silver coffee machine that could make 10 litres of filter coffee. I had one cup a day, half filter coffee, half milk. "Milk soup," a colleague called it. And as if that hadn't been bad enough, I dumped in two sugar cubes...
So if that was "coffee", then I smell coffee in the Black Opium too; it's in the same league. Sugar coffee with vanilla and orange blossom roaring over it.
Yes, there's something about that scent. Yes, it smells classy. Yes, I want to test it some more. But what's supposed to be "black" about it, I honestly don't know. And for all that money, I probably won't buy it again either. Unless I find an effective adhesive tape with which I can tape the mouth of the orange blossom to...

Berry picking at grandma's garden
My grandparents have an allotment on the hillside, with a wooden hut, fruit trees and with berry bushes. I remember well how I collected the red and white currants. They would go under the tap in a porcelain bowl - and quickly end up in my mouth. Now and then a stalk also landed in my mouth.
So it is also with "Amethyst": He starts berry-sour with a tart impact, as if the stalks were processed with. So he also remains long on my skin, I hardly notice anything of the flowers. The peony is the closest, but it's already got badly entangled in the berry bush. Wood I smell - bushes just.
The sillage is pleasant - the fragrance radiates something, but does not cloud everything full. The durability is okay, but does not blow me away. After a few hours, the refreshment is over again.
BUT I have not yet tested it in the summer. Quite possible that the flowers then make it out of the berry bushes and also the durability / sillage is stronger.
I feel the fragrance in any case as pleasantly different, as a fruity, unsweet refreshment and alternative to the whole sugar stuff

Fruity dark chocolate for dreamy melancholic women
This is my first perfume review and I dedicate it to "my" Black XS. It started with us in a D store more than ten years ago. Back then I was still in black lace skirts, shirts with lace and/or lacing and a purple coat with bows. I found perfumes mostly difficult - they all smelled the same and there was nothing for me. But acquaintances of mine dragged me along and there was this saleswoman who asked me about my preferences and then held the reddish-purple bottle under my nose. Wow That smelled different.
In the top note sour cranberries, plus a tingling in the nose from the pepper and a subtle sweetness. The gradually becomes stronger; the peony and violet come in. Then the scent becomes more vanilla and chocolatey. The woods and patchouli add a dark depth. I was in love - and still am to this day! In the last ten years I have changed and my scent preferences certainly have too. But Black XS has remained. Sometimes with more and sometimes with less enthusiasm - as it is in a long-term relationship. But mostly it harmonizes with us.
On my skin, the durability is enormous: I perceive the fragrance even after more than twelve hours on me. On the hair and clothes he keeps even until the next day - since I then have to watch out from experience, which fragrance I apply.
Meanwhile, I discover (also thanks to you here) more and more perfumes for me. But my fragrance experience with Black XS is for me the standard by which other fragrances must be measured.
