Tropical Whisper
My bottle was a birthday gift and the Sisley name with the promise of a tropical scent intrigued me at first glance.
At first spray a blast of fresh mint & peppery spices seem to welcome my nose - I assume the ginger is a spicy one and works well with the bergamot note to provide this burst of freshness. After about 20 minutes it mellows and becomes smooth and sweeter, I can now sense the passion fruit, hibiscus & cedar also coming through the spices. And even a hint of patchouli is not amiss to my nose.

"Eau Tropicale" has definitely an unusual beginning and it's a hard scent to classify. I like it because it's not like anything I can recall owning. Its supposed to emulate a tropical forest after a rainstorm, but to me it smells more like a botanical garden in the early morning hours of dawn when the dew covered fauna is getting ready to welcome the first rays of sunshine. It's a fun & unusual scent, but not unusual enough for me to justify its price tag.

Silage is: Minty flowers about to bloom - Longevity is: A bit disappointing with a 4-5 hours in which it mellows out significantly and becomes a close to the skin whisper of flowers & spices that are a bit sleepy.

A must try if you're looking for something that doesn't smell mainstream and your birthday is coming up - Enjoy! :)

Cool Velvet
I am pleasantly surprised by this Choo creation, and upon looking at the notes I am even more surprised. Perhaps it's my chemistry but upon first spray this smells to me as a delicious aquatic with a musk undertone and a hint of vanilla.

After a while the notes becomes more apparent and I can smell citrus (the tangerine?) *Hmmm* a sugary sweetness (strawberry?) and a featherlight tuberose note that is sprinkled with a dash of pepper, but nothing in this scent is too harsh. It's a very well balanced creation and I love it because its fresh/floral/spicy and sweet without that it smells like a mess!

It's a fresh breath from the *usual * gourmand and IMHO is far more original than Choo's "Jimmy Choo".

Autumn is at our doorstep...if you want a new scent to go with the new season give this one a try...this unusual seductive combination of fresh yet velvety, and floral yet spicy-sweet will keep you smiling! Well, it does me : )

Silage is: Fresh & floral yet spicy as far as your arm can reach - Longevity is: You aint Choo-ing me away anytime soon! Enjoy!

Eau de Hardly There
"Eau de Prep" was a blind buy because there was no tester and the apple note plus the price (15 Euro for 100ML) was a good enough reason for me to jump into the preppy pool with both feet ; )

The first spray is very yummy and has a fresh apple note that gets quickly teamed up with a pepper note --pink pepper is sweet rather than spicy-- and as such it's a wonderful mix of apple fresh with sweet pepper and a faint rose - all this lands on a dry down of musk and sandalwood notes. The middle stage has a very gourmand feel to it; I smell a chocolate vibe in this and it reminds me a bit of "5th Avenue Nights" which has a wonderful chocolate note throughout thats heavily in love with a creamy vanilla, but Eau de Prep has apple & pepper notes to give the chocolate vibe more of a spicy / fruity edge. About an hour later the pepper gets slightly more spicy and the apple is virtually gone, leaving you with a musk / pepper skin scent that is pleasant but very light.

I like Eau de Prep and my only complaints is that its longevity is seriously lacking! I have to reapply quite often to get the thrill of that first apple / sweet pepper combo. If the longevity were much better and the apple note were more pronounced to increase that apple fresh feeling, I would probably reach for this quite often. But since it is very fleeting all I can say is....luckily I have 100ML to (re)spray it with reckless abandon.

It's a cute scent for casual daytime wear and all those times you want to smell yummy in a gourmand and close to the skin manner. It's inoffensive and suitable for work and as a bed scent but I wouldn't wear this for an evening out or to a special occasion.

Silage is: apple and sweet pepper with a dash of florals on a bed of musk - Longevity is: 2+ hours in which the pepper becomes more spicy and lays close on the skin cuddling a musk note.

Not Every Circus Visit Is A Success
I like a couple of Britney's scents and think all-in-all she did a great job with them.
"Circus Fantasy" is the only one I know and own from the fantasy range and must grudgingly admit that it just doesn't get along with my chemistry.

On me it's a mix of sugar water with a murdered vanilla and a lemon note that got thoroughly diluted and smells now like a cleaning product.
Given how much I enjoy "Believe" and "Cosmic Radiance" I am sad that Circus Fantasy remains just that....a fantasy; especially since my inner child loves the bottle its in.

I get none of the other yummy notes or any resemblance to "Amor Amor" (which I also own) despite that some people say it is similar. To all of you who get the floral, musk and woodsy notes: Enjoy! I am looking forward to sampling more Britney Spears fragrances...the price and the luck-versus-fail ratio are in my favour! ; )

Silage is: sweet lemony snicket -- Longevity: 3+ hours.

Victor / Victoria
Montanas "Malaita" is one of those scents that raised great hopes in me since I like several Montana scents and the notes too sounded promising, the thing that I didn't expect was how very aftershave like it smells on my skin!

I get lots of cedar with a generous pinch of myrrh, a mellow sandalwood note thats hiding a dewy jasmine (but I have to inhale deep and really look for that jasmine) and a hint of bergamot that is playing with what -I assume- are the water notes and the mellon. I was hoping for a spicy yet feminine aquatic and wasn't prepared for a real beautiful yet very masculine scent. It is marketed as a female scent but it doesn't indicate that on the bottle or on the box...so I am really wondering if there is some mistake?

I like unisex and don't mind using male fragrances...but it must not smell on me like I grabbed the wrong bottle. I like scents, all scents, to melt into my chemistry and compliment me - and Malaita is beautiful if you like unisex scents or if your chemistry defies the evolvement of a male vibe that is too dominating and starts to fight with my feminine aura. Alas for me I can't wear it, but the bottle has a new home when a male friend sprayed it on and fell instantly in love with it...Sometimes I think scents choose you and not vice versa.

Silage is: spicy and pretty - Longevity is: 6+ hours. Test before purchase!! Good luck : )
