Uniquely Lovely
At the first spray: a burst of pepper (I guess that's how my nose 'smells' the cedar?), a hint of hard-candy, vanilla floats into the mix like an apparition of softness. The dry-down has a slight whiff of peppery-licorice wrapped in almonds about it.
Yes, Castelbajac is a complex scent. A puzzle of warm 'yum', more vanilla than sweet; cedar and almond equally balanced.
Very worth it if it works with your nose and chemistry! It's perfect as signature scent. No mistaking this one, it's a mysterious Lady in a crowded room that effortlessly gets all the attention.

From Wow! to No-No.
When I first started using this scent it was a wonderful mix of roses, bergamot and something else I could never identify (Lemon??). After a while it started to change on my skin. I hate to say this about a perfume, but it started to smell like car tires that burned?! I think my chemistry and Roma don't get along. It's a shame, because on others it smells wonderful.

Light & Fleeting. Alas.
In general I adore heavier 'character' smells. Something that leaves an impact & is recognizable without that it acts as a 'force-field' of odour. Softer smells are welcome if they have a charm that lingers and are wonderful for breezy summer days, days at home, office hours or just for the times you want something 'light'.
After hearing & reading so much about it, I must confess; Lolita Lempicka's "Coral Flower" is a disappointment to me. It is a soft, powder smell with a faint floral whiff and a hint of sea air, but to my nose it lacks character.
The staying power is also disappointing and I can hardly smell it after twenty minutes or so. If you like a hint of flowers wrapped in sea-salt and don't mind refreshing it a couple of times, this one might do the trick. But why spent so much?
Oh, and one can't talk about this scent without mentioning the bottle! It's a very organic rock shape with little charms. It's a bottle you just don't ever want to throw out due to its decorative look. It fits wonderfully in the palm of your hand, it took me however some time to figure out how to spray it (it's a bit hidden). I only wish they had given as much thought to the potion inside as they -obviously- did to the design of the bottle, because I really wanted to love this one. And I still hope to find a Lempicka that will suit me.

My mother always had a great nose for grand perfumes. This one was one of her favorites and smelled always great on her. Unfortunately it's also one of the few that I own but never wear. It simply doesn't suit me. I tried so hard to like it but the smell becomes watery yet obnoxious on me. It's a pity, but alas. If it works on your skin consider yourself lucky! For its florals that become a powdery bouquet of something musky, is recognizable and the bottle is very pretty on your beauty table.

My favorite Moschino: I adore Orientals and this one has that rare mix that smells wonderful on my skin. I adore Patchouli (in the right amount!) and this Moschino happens to deliver just that. A wonderful silage and a powdery dry down that always lures you with a hint of Patchouli! Wonderful!
