At first I was going to write a statement, but the few characters just wouldn't be able to do the fragrance justice.

The test of this fragrance was a pure coincidence and I must also confess that I did not like it at first. Normally spicy, resinous sweet scents are not so mine (Grand Soir, L'ambre des Merveilles, etc. were quite nice, but I do not like to smell on me. Maybe that changes yet).

The fragrance starts hot and peppery by ginger and pepper. Who likes spicy scents, comes here already directly at his expense. This start has put me off at the first testing.

But then (!!!), after a few minutes, opens a spa for my nose. So balsamic, creamy, warm and yet somehow fresh at the same time. Insanely beautiful.

When I spray on the fragrance today, the following thoughts come into my head: a long walk through the autumnal forest. The sun is already low and illuminates with their last rays the trees shining in magnificent red / orange. After a long walk you see a beautiful rustic wooden hut. In a small adjoining house the sauna is already preheated, in which an aroma infusion is waiting for me. After the relaxed sauna, quickly with a towel tied around through the cold air and main house, cream, cozy warm clothes on and sit with a good book and a cup of ginger tea in the big old leather chair by the fireplace, while it is already getting dark outside and the fog spreads between the trees.

L'Ambre des Merveilles is once again one of those scents that takes me back to my childhood.

You know that feeling when you were a kid and it was THE season you looked forward to all year? Because it was summer (for me, anyway), when numerous funfairs were held and I couldn't wait to try out every single attraction (only the kid-friendly ones, of course) and dust off as many sweets as I could.

Now you're probably wondering where I got the idea that L'Ambre des Merveilles smells like a fair, because most reviews that feature a fair play on scents that smell like cotton candy. But this one doesn't!

This scent does not smell at all like cotton candy, lollipops, popcorn, or roasted almonds.

This scent smells like dextrose bracelets. Yes indeed!

Freshly sprayed on opens me a dextrose smell of the very finest variety. But not pungent effervescent, but sweetish creamy. So more like how these bracelets smell, not how they taste. Tell me you guys understand what I mean!!!

After a few minutes, he gets warmer and more sensual. It becomes cozy and nestles perfectly against the skin without being too skin tight. It doesn't radiate as much on me, but it is still noticeable by those around me. 4-5 hours I notice him on my skin, on the clothes even longer.

I find it difficult to classify him in a season, because I find despite its warmth he is not too heavy, which is why he can certainly do well on a balmy summer evening. And of course at a fair to smell with the dextrose bracelets around the bet

First of all, I am not a horse girl. My riding days are long gone. Sometimes I look back with a crying eye, but my interest in sports has changed and that's okay too

In spite of everything I can still remember the beautiful summer evenings I spent on the farm. After a long ride clean the horse and bring it to the pasture. Finally sitting on a bale of hay with my best friend, watching the sunset and chatting about everyday life. The smell of dry grass paired with the smell of hay & straw in the nose and the warming evening sun on the skin.

Arrived at home, first rinse off the horse smell under the shower and quickly apply Penaten cream. I love the smell of baby products. Shampoo, bath foam, body cream - all to be found in my bathroom.

But now for the Mémoire d'une Odeur:
Exactly like my described typical day at the stable I feel this smell - in the same course.
It starts today/ strawy through the camomile, but after a short time it develops into a powdery direction. The musk makes it clean and cosy. For me it smells exactly like penaten cream. This all happens on my skin within two hours. Unfortunately I can hardly notice it after that, which unfortunately does not make it a candidate for purchase for me.

Nevertheless, it is a little reminder for me of the beautiful summer evenings in the stable and when I want to be reminded of it again, I will dig my little sample out of the drawer, spray it on and wallow in memories.

Have you ever been on holiday in Bulgaria?

When I was little, we went to Bulgaria a few times. Not on the party mile, of course - but in the family villages, from where you could make the typical tourist trips. I remember those holidays as if it was yesterday.

In the evening we went to the restaurants where there were shows. The Bulgarian women danced with their traditional costumes, the Bulgarians performed fire plays. Very exciting for me as a child. But one excursion always remained in my memory. The excursion to the botanical garden. Today I can't say exactly whether the botanical gardens are something special for Bulgaria? And whether it is such a "classic" among the tourist excursions or simply the personal interest of my parents back then.

The highlight of these excursions was always the little souvenir that we took with us. A small wooden tube, with an incised rose and a lid that resembled cupola roofs. The content of this tube was a small glass bottle with a transparent content. And the contents smelled of pure rose! Until the day I received Florabtonica, I had never smelled a fragrance so similar to this Bulgarian rose oil.

I will always associate my childhood holidays with him. Florabotanica embodies for me one of the greenest and most authentic rose scents I have ever smelled. It is fresh, a little spicy, beautiful green and so clean. On my skin it lasts for a very long time, also on my clothes.

So if you and he are currently longing for a holiday in Bulgaria and at the same time love rose fragrances, you should buy Florabotanica.

Pure Musc from NR was recommended to me by a shopping trip where I actually already had a goal in mind. I stalked confidently into the perfumery, buying only THE fragrance that I really wanted to buy. But as it is so, the saleswoman came up to me and asked me for advice. Can't hurt to be brought up to date, because you might have missed some new scent after all?
She sprayed me with Pure Musc and I must say I was shocked! Until now all NR fragrances were exactly my taste. There was none that I did not like until now. Except the classic 'For Her', I like it, but I just don't like to smell it anymore. That is probably because you can smell it on every corner and it is a bit annoying for me.

But the Pure Musc?! It opened up to me with a granny note that smelled so pungent and musty. I felt the need to wash my arm as soon as possible. This can't be NR's serious?! I took the scent I had planned to buy (I was also very proud of the fact that I really managed to realize my plan. does not happen often in a perfumery) and drove home. Still in the car, about 10-15 minutes after spraying, I had a soft clean note in my nose, which was so cozy and cuddly. This could never be Pure Musc?! Yes it could! It was! Awesome. Maybe the bottle was new and when I sprayed it on, I took the strong alcohol note. After several tests he had to join my collection

I like to use this fragrance in spring and summer. Whenever I feel the need to make myself comfortable. If I had to describe Pure Musc in a picture, it would be a big fluffy white cloud. The NR Musk is here, as in all the other of his fragrances, so beautifully used. The white flowers and cashmeran give the fragrance its floral freshness and cuddly factor. Really great class! And I can't say anything bad about its durability either. On my clothes it lasts for days, on my skin also up to 8 hours.
