Nimble little fruit
"Pear Inc." focuses on a melancholic pear and combines this fruit (still rather rare in perfumery) with the typical "Juliette Has a Gun" DNA, which I would best describe as molecular, creamy musk.

You certainly shouldn't have a problem with synthetic fragrances in "Pear Inc.". The pear stings, bites and is more of an experiment and modern work of art than a natural product. But that doesn't necessarily mean bad things. Synthetics can also dominate masterful fragrances. But "Pear Inc." is unfortunately not such a laboratory delicacy for me. Too one-dimensional, too sharp, not really clever nor creamy. I like synthetics - and I don't particularly like the fragrance. If you don't like synthetics - you will hate it. There's no other way to put it and it's better to package it, this truth must be spoken. A trickless banner. A humorless hollow projectile. A shrug with a twist that fizzles out.

Flacon: green, blue, turquoise... doesn't matter. The main thing is that it sits well in the hand.
Sillage: smells strong quickly, but never far
Longevity: 2-4 hours is hardly enough for anyone

Conclusion: pear on banal legs... "Pear Inc." only gets a temporary employment contract from me!

Umami a la Marsupilami
i was pleasantly surprised by "Guilty Elixir de Parfum PH" (what a name...). Not because the "Guilty" label is down for me, there are enough positive outliers in this very broad and colorful "family". It's much more because an enormously potent orange blossom apple beams at me here, which is most likely to pass as a wonderfully creamy mixture of heavyweights such as "Reflection Man", "Fleur de Male" and "Gaultier ²" - which should put enough weight on its shoulders, power in its lungs and pressure in its fragrant argumentation!

At first I thought this would be a hard-as-nails marzipan flatterer. This elixir seemed too different, too surprising, too special at first. My flask was rattling. But then it dawned on me every half minute that it wasn't marzipan at all that I was smelling, but incredibly dense orange blossom. Green, tangy, garnished with an even greener apple. A small miracle of technology and head and nose cinema. You can still smell it clearly the next day. And yes, I take a shower. Nevertheless, this is a stubborn little beast in chewing gum green. Buttery iris and vanilla provide the backbone and lend enormous suppleness. Up front, the orange blossom on steroids flickers and sizzles, but is still soft enough. An extremely floral yet powerful fragrance that could almost pass for a niche, yet is still accessible to sophisticated perfumistas. Unusual and great to clearly declare it as "Pour Homme". Rarely have you smelled a more intense powerhouse. Again and again. Could develop into a cult and insider tip. But today's man needs more delicate eggs to carry it off in a relaxed manner. Nicer Hulk with a bouquet of flowers. Kisses poison and bile.

Sillage: subtle is different
Flacon: green and poisonous, good and round
Longevity: easily over 10 hours on my wrist and in a cloud around me

Conclusion: interesting Guilty variation with fierce radiance and almost entirely new DNA - orange blossom overkill!

Suprise, Suprise, it's not that shit..
Often enough, "EdP" versions deviate so far and clearly from their original DNA that even failed candidates can be given another chance after a "perfume revision". That's why, despite my skepticism, I reached for this once again hideously ugly bottle from D&G, from whose target audience I could hardly be further away by now. And once again, my instincts didn't deceive me - "K (EdP)" is miles better than its EdT and I actually really like it. Even if it seemed excessively overpriced when I tested it.

"K (EdP)" is not ashamed of its basic shower gel DNA. So it's definitely still a "K", which some might take as a threat. Including me, if only I had read this sentence beforehand. But the EdP condenses and pimps its style in such a classy way, turning it into a much more mature fragrance treat that you let go of any prejudices and walls created by the EdT. "K (EdP)" is a fragrance of soaped blood oranges, candied fruits and fleshy vitamin delights. No longer (only) for teens, disco whizzes and erotic center kings. It now even goes with suits and weddings. And not just for Sicilian or Turkish weddings. It rarely or never comes across as tacky or cheap. The juniper berry grounds and pacifies the fizzing citrus fruits. Light red wine associations later. Confident and stable. More royal than the bottle could ever pose. Greenish and almost like a cross between "K" and "Terre D'Hermes". I wouldn't have expected that. Maybe it's not the greatest perfume art or pure luxury - but it's a damn pleasing and also more special fragrance than, for example, the ever popular "Sauvage" in the mainstream. Never smelly, usually harmonious, always sexy.

Flacon: kitschy and pimpy
Sillage: strong, but not exaggerated
Shelf life: 7-9 hours will get any player through

Conclusion: Shower gel erotica turned up to 12 - "K - EdP" is significantly better and denser than the "normal" version. To be honest, I even find it quite delicious. Bittersweet blood orange bigotry.

The froth of the wave revolution?
Yes, I am (still) "Cool Water" fan and wear both the original and the strongly deviating from him Intense with pleasure and more often than I want to admit it myself. Therefore, I was also more than curious about the new "perfume", introduced it due to its very acquirable price even directly in the collection. What can this so far "most adult cold water"? A new king with trident? Or rather a wave parakeet?

"Cool Water" (perfume) has taken something from both the original and Intense and yet plays out its own character. Dark blue ocean surf, a little mineral, roaring and thundering cliffs. Much more mature and somber than its predecessors. Not sweet, rather high quality fresh. Despite slightly chemical hints at the very beginning. Fragrance pyramid is void. Saltiness is missing. Otherwise, a shower gel adequate with swell and independence. Maritime man of tomorrow. I like it better than some "Wilder" or "Bläuling". "Cool Water" (perfume) is a tsunami in the making. A water baby with no washing compulsion. A fragrant fish in a suit. And a successful alternative to both his brethren and the current zeitgeist. Although he (or his family) once actually paved the way for it himself...

Flacon: so far the most beautiful Cool Water. But up to the thick bottom used to.
Sillage: speaks one no one on it
Durability: 6-7 hours turns Poseidon his rounds

Conclusion: at first strange and not handy. But once you have befriended a sparkling-foamy aquate between deep sea and highly pitched. Could still rise in my liking and wearing frequency. First impression just behind his two brothers - still very good

Qualitytime
"Weekend For Men" is 24 (!) years old... Wow. You wouldn't think so. And it's the first real hit from my bulk order of Cheapies last week, which will probably stay in my collection forever, worn with pleasure. And probably now even my favourite Burberry fragrance. Way too overlooked, way too little written about it. That has to change! Or not. It will just stay with me. But a great fragrance it is in any case. Still cheap and great, in the 90s as today. Timeless citrus soul solver.

A little reminiscent not only the bottle of Cerrutis "Image PH", it also has its banana aura. Very green, light and easy to wear. A faithful, stylish companion is "Weekend For Men". Perfect name, perfect fragrance in its orientation. Almairac finds greatness in minimalism. Bitter orange notes that are delightfully relaxed and grown-up. High quality to boot. Round and coherent. Green. Mossy. The convertible calls, spring from the bottle. So
Late summer awakening just before All Saints' Day. "Weekend For Men" is worth every blind purchase, even more so at the just too frivolous price. Real oakmoss excitement. So who has it in the collection and even there like to sometimes overlooked or in the last row - please bring it to the front again for my love!

Flacon: simple, transparent, fitting, transparent
Sillage: carrier fragrance and relaxing
Longevity: longer than the usual citronier - 6 hours

Conclusion: an unobtrusive citrus wonder from Burberry! Highly underrated and definitely to be rediscovered. Timelessly beautiful. Pure and prima. Just an olfactory timeout from all the overload and stress. Great. Great, great, great. Great, great, great
