Cinnamon citrus zauder or spell?
"Wanted By Night" reminds me of the famous Big Red chewing gums. Its very special main cocktail of tangerine and cinnamon lingers and determines the complete fragrance impression. A polarizing, (positive?) synthetic top note full of frown and sensation.

A little as if one had crossed the "Lagerfeld Classic" with the original "Wanted", this nocturnal flanker is a (night)dream. At least vornerum. Sticky, artificial, chemical. Yes, still kind of. But miles better than its lighter father scent, which I had pretty much ripped off at its release and still can't stand. This one is just more my wavelength. At the same time, I don't like the red cult gum all that much. But this fragrance start here pulls with me crisp. Tasty, different, almost creative and bold I must say. Moist pipe tobacco. After that, it runs dark woody in the sand. Not sugary, rather oriental-lightly tipsy. But overall it's enough for the clearly green area. Chewing gum meets Christmas tree.

Flacon: cannon strong
Sillage: party suitable. Rather shisha than dance floor.
Shelf life: 8-9 lush hours

Conclusion: an incredibly unusual, aggressive and memorable cinnamon-manda top note is followed by.... not much more. But that can do and for that the weak original should give way in any case.

Strolling drudgery
"Meander" by Amouage is a mildly oriental peppery dream that is probably the closest thing to an everyday Amouage fragrance yet.

"Meander" lives up to its name and is without question a cozy comrade. Not to say slow, sluggish and ponderous. You have to get that right with a pepper-heavy mix. But fire in the butt this one has as much as an emperor penguin. Slightly dusty, library, powdery. The iris isn't exactly the most active flower now either. But my favorite, still. Dry desert aroma. Oman meets grandma. High-end and luxurious, but that doesn't stop it from being wearable. Great scent. If you can get your slightly asleep feet off and have patience.

Flacon: color fits, shape and heaviness as always plump
Sillage: close to the carrier. Since but then clearly.
Durability: 8 hours slurps's his rounds

Conclusion: (because of the perfectly fitting pyramid) failed to my personal expectations. But otherwise a (too?) relaxed iris-pepper mix that lulls you creamy. Signature-worthy, yes. But then a bit boring.

Without umbrella, without charm - but with bowler hat!
Nothing beats a ripe, juicy watermelon for dessert in the summer. Simple and great forever. The hard-skinned fruit rarely makes an appearance in perfumes. Why "Watermelons" by Shay & Blue gives clues.

Watermelons in fragrances seem impossibly... watery? Cheap? Sucked through? Bubblegum-like? Annoying? Flat? Buffoonish? Chemical? Showery? Unnatural? Unattractive? Unpleasant?
Take your pick. A little bit of everything. Especially in the case of "Watermelons", whose green synthetics give me a migraine in my melon. The vetiver is not to be guessed, the tea tie stings and is too long, the melon is anything but hit from its chocolate side. More radioactive and childish than elegant and airy. I can't wear it like that.

Flacon: they make what here!
Sillage: the melon man you notice sometimes
Durability: 5 hours Watermelon Sugar Low

Conclusion: there hurts me the melon - this Shay & Blue I do not like unfortunately at all!

Ninja Shooting Star
"Zeste de Gingembre" by Heeley is another (full) hit from the brand, buying amazing new sharp and spicy facets to the citrusy Summergame.

Ginger rarely ends up in my shopping basket, and only very sparingly in food. Also at the Sushiband I always leave it out. Fragrances, however, the tangy, dominant and very own root plant can give a distinct spicy kick. And "Zeste de Gingembre" is probably the lone reference for that as of now. Because too often the tuber or its smell doesn't find its way into fragrances anyway. "Dior Homme Sport" from 2012 or Guerlain's "Ginger Piccante" mentioned as exceptions. "Zeste de Gingembre" is but almost a league of its own in its ginger expression.

Combined with a sparkling lime, a green-sunny cocktail vibe spreads that I find hard to resist. Clears the nose and rounds the soul, makes worries small and personal weather beautiful. Spicy, special, slightly mentholated or minty, soothing tea-like, yet refreshing to no end. Very different from its citrus competitors on the market. Heeley has once again done a great job.

Flacon: minimalist stylish
Durability: 6 hours are good for a citrusy summer freshener.
Sillage: narrow and without riverbank

Verdict: a tangy lime cocktail with zing, bite and fizz. The ginger is here just delicious - even if you are otherwise rather skeptical of him!

Patchouli with wings
"Patchouli L'Eau" has little of the earthy hippieness of its main component and is a powder patch fresh off cloud 7.

A lot of people have patch issues due to maternal '69 associations or generally its nature and texture. This "L'Eau" buries all hatchets and doubts, baiting even patchouli allergy sufferers with its pervasive softness. Almost more of a musk than a patch scent. This one can't really offend anyone. Angel butt meets bath in the hippie crowd. White chocolate, minimal nuttiness, very clean but not soapy thankfully. A little Narciso Rodriguez style. Like a fluffy cake base. Fake caloric warmth. Makeup case meets feminine woodiness.

Flacon: tenderly discreet
Sillage: tenderly discreet
Durability: tender 4-hour reminiscence

Conclusion: a creamy airy kissette from Patchoulifee!
