In the name of the rose...
Immediately in advance, the sillage is above average, thereby I feel Black Auod clearly too intrusive. The durability tops everything that I have known so far in fragrances ... and by far. Even after trying two times to wash off the scent, it smelled a day later still! Hammer!!!

Rose is clearly dominant for me, thereby the fragrance comes naturally very floral. Spicy-oriental and very fresh is accompanied by the quite pleasant fragrance. Later still comes through something tart and sour. Due to the too strong sillage and the rose scent passing through like a line, I could imagine at most an interesting layering. A friend tried it on my recommendation and the result was very pleasant.

If Montale itself describes its own fragrance as follows "Black Aoud is a dramatic fragrance - but do not confuse that with too strong", then I feel that as a justified objection anticipation and claim that is too strong and by mega dominance rose maximum unisex, rather tendency female.

An unusual and gaudy fragrance, but .... you have to like it already, the thing with the rose.

Boom, here comes the Afgano
There is really substantial what comes across. A very tasty, heavy and really unusual fragrance. At the very first moment, I smell almond or better marzipan, which makes Afgano sweet. But also permanently the heavy and sweet note remains present. For my taste too sweetish and therefore also clearly unisex. The fragrance is beautifully complex, spicy-woody, oriental, earthy, animalic, resinous and smoky ... everything there. It was put together in such a way that I find it very difficult to compare with other fragrances. Unique and special would be my conclusion.

Who wants to stand out with a fragrance, which gets with Black Afgano a fancy, almost hypnotizing candidate. The image what immediately floats in front of my eyes is Jungle Book and the snake Kaa. Also fits somehow with India and Afghanistan :-)).
Class made and really extraordinary, but too heavy and sweet for me.

The Orient quite noble and almost gift
After I had tested Interlude by Amouage and was already impressed by the complexity of this fragrance, I bought the fragrance twin Oud Muataq on good luck. At less than 1/10 of the price, I couldn't go wrong there. I am very excited by the richness and the scent combination. Heavy oriental, smoky, slightly sweet, spicy, fresh, with hints of leather and sandalwood. Towards the end of the day, Sheikh Muataq becomes slightly powdery, but maintains the oriental spiciness for a long time and never becomes intrusive. Over all the whole fragrance lasts longer than average and really seems noble at all times. An impressive fragrance that is a must for the price.

Anyone looking for a fragrance for quiet, subtle and gentle moments should have found it in Oud Muatq.

Merciless leather smoked
Immediately after application, I had to laugh heartily at first. The scent came so impressively direct, bold, leathery and smoked banged in the nose, just merciless.... but I fands really delicious. Much more fragrance notes did not come through with me either. Unfortunately, the scent was already completely gone after 2-3 hours. As a single fragrance Black Afghan is only conditionally suitable for everyday use. I have him but times with Oud Muataq gelayert and with the Duftfülle made the evil smoked leather really good.
