Unembellished
I've been interested in this fragrance for a while, especially as I'm very curious about Arabic brands at the moment anyway. I have it now and can't really categorize it yet.

I already knew about the similarity to Black Orchid. However, I was hoping for a more present chocolate note due to numerous reviews.

At first glance, the fragrances are almost identical, but Oud 24 Hours takes a different path. I primarily perceive earthy patchouli, unsweet flowers and wood (oud?). The combination is dry, slightly acidic and powdery. This is probably where the association with dark chocolate comes from. I already said in my statement that this is too realistic for me. Nevertheless, Oud 24 Hours is not a gourmand for me.

This is where my problem arises, namely that reality is not always ideal. Pure cocoa smells dry and slightly sour to me, but with a cocoa/chocolate perfume you have an olfactory image of something sweet and lovely in your head.

Oud 24 Hours is not bad. It is deep and mysterious, but still not overpowering. Somehow I see the fragrance on Morticia Addams. Or strong personalities who want to have an olfactory presence but don't want to smell too sweet. Gourmand fans should be more careful, however. I really can't understand where people get dessert notes from here, for example..

The shelf life is also okay at the moment. It's not a beast like other Arabian fragrances in my collection, but at 3-4 hours it's ok. Supposedly these perfumes often mature, so maybe it will get even better.

Somehow I hope that the fragrance will go a little more in the direction described on YouTube as it matures.

Colorful socks
Zara is currently doing fragrance fast fashion. Although I wasn't really convinced by much, I naturally had to test a line with a focus on vanilla. After all, it's one of my favorite notes. So, off to Zara!

What can I say. I found two of the line good, one stupid and one was the thousandth dupe for Hypnotic Poison. And Supreme Vanilla? I regretted only buying the 30ml!

The fragrance starts off sweet and smoky. I immediately think of the listed ink, but associations with incense would not be out of place either. This phase makes me advise against a blind purchase. Unless you know that you like both very sweet and smoky fragrances.

After that, it becomes a little 'tamer'. The sweet notes come through and make me think of a big bowl of breakfast cereal with a load of cocoa. I love this smell because it reminds me of carefree childhood days. Supreme Vanilla stays that way, and not for too long. Of the zara fragrances I know, this is one of the more intense ones.

I probably like Supreme Vanilla so much because I've never had this combination of smoky and sweet under my nose before. Somehow it makes me think of a person in a suit wearing colorful socks. At first, it seems grown-up and stern, but it tries to retain a childlike, light-hearted quality.

In general, Zara has done a really good job with this collection. The fragrances are so different in genre that I personally don't like everything, but many people could find something in them!

I don't like rose perfumes...
...Therefore, this little water was originally not interesting for me. Because the Zara fragrances are generally very popular, however, it did not take long until some ladies laughed at me on YouTube-with Rose Gourmand in the hand...

They compared it to Intense Cafè by Montale, which I've never tried either, by the way. But coffee I like, so I tried this fragrance on occasion after all. Admittedly, I was not taken at first. Rose, that is. But as soon as I left Zara, I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. How could it be that the rose no longer bothered me, but actually pleased me?

What can I say, I think this combination with vanilla, powdery notes and some spices is just brilliant. Not all of it is listed, but Zara is generally 'creative' with its specifications there. Anyway, I smell these things. Coffee perhaps rather only because of the association, if at all.

One should hope for no espresso here, but really the feeling of sitting in a noble cafe: The air is warm because of the hot drinks. You yourself sit comfortably in velvet-clad chairs and think about what you want to snack on, because everything looked so delicious.

There one remains then also some hours. Of course, the sillage decreases over time, but my test sprayer I could still smell when going to sleep!

It took then but quite a while until the fragrance was allowed to move in with me. Finally, he is for my relations but rather atypical. When he was then half a year later but still on my wish list, it should be just so-and I was immediately happy when I sprayed him on.

I hope that Zara manages to maintain this quality and against more Gourmands in the assortment I personally would have nothing ;)

Price of a room spray, quality of...?
I think I'll save the paragraph explaining that expensive doesn't have to mean good and cheap doesn't have to mean bad. Certainly no one would disdain a cheap fragrance, as long as it pleases. But if the sum is too extreme, you start to think. What can and may one expect for 2€ at all?

Due to a move I needed kitchen utensils, containers and other odds and ends. On this occasion, I also took Black Emotion with me. I already knew him and liked him quite. That made me brave and let me also reach for this fragrance. Supposedly a dupe to Angel and here not even so badly rated, already confidence-inspiring.

The bottle is not the most beautiful, but could well be worse and kitschy, especially since it seems robust. Also, I like that you can not immediately recognize the "dupe" by the design. The spray head is bad though, as it leaks a bit. But that was to be expected.

A hesitant test then revealed the essentials. As already mentioned, this is a reference to the fragrance Angel. Imagine having a photo in front of you. Of course, you immediately recognize what you have in front of you, but it is now flat. Patchouli and gourmand notes are in interplay, but more precise definitions are not possible. At some point, however, the sweet side of the fragrance dominates. After 4 hours, the creation sounds sugary and chocolaty before it then disappears.

I like the scent itself. Another dupe of Angel remains with me in the state of the top note, since this one can already more, or at least has less patchouli.

Overall, there are already better fragrances. It should also, otherwise the price differences would be pure arbitrariness. Nevertheless, it must be noted, however, that you get for extremely little money a perfume that smells good (if you like Angel) and not only holds from 12 to noon.

I do not know if I want to wear it outside, but for me alone he is quite enough!

The silent lady
I have already written a statement about this fragrance, the comment is an addendum. This has turned out rather negative, but so completely I did not want to leave it at that.

My story with the classic began in the TK Maxx. It was morning, so I could rummage in peace and research about almost every fragrance found in peace. There were very interesting sounding things there! Finally, I had to decide between Quatre Absolu de Nuit by Boucheron and Hèliotrope Blanc. The comparison to Etro's fragrance of almost the same name was what ultimately convinced me. Perfect, quickly to the checkout and outside directly spray on...and well, I was pretty disappointed.

The first thing I could perceive were the floral notes, which behaved not discreetly fresh, but unusually opulent. With time, the almond then also came to the fore. However, this did not create the association to marzipan, but the unsweetened milk substitute. As already mentioned, Hèliotrope Blanc was for me initially floral, creamy, relatively little sweet and not at all my case.

Disappointed about the alleged mispurchase, I read the reviews again and wondered how it could be that my nose perceived him completely different than a good 100 others. Well, shall occur. However, it also happens that you change your mind about fragrances, so I decided to test the Wässerchen after a while again.

As a precaution, I had not put on any other perfume on this day. Could well be that a sweet scent cloud deceives my perception. First came to me right away once again the unloved flowers, but this time something was different. The unsweet creaminess I had initially complained about gave way to melt-in-the-mouth almonds. Heliotrope lay like a veil over this construct. Immediately I developed an association with donuts sprinkled with powdered sugar. Delicious!

I can only explain my initial dislike with the fact that I was simply not familiar with the perfume initially. Usually, fragrance pyramids feature fruity notes and a measuring cup full of sugar. Hèliotrope Blanc is sweet, but nowhere near as sweet as others in the genre. While others scream, here you're dealing with a quiet, elegant lady who watches the goings-on from a safe distance. She probably has more to say than some of the screamers, but you have to let her have her say...

Overall, you get an enormously well done fragrance. Each note is recognizable and none of them seems out of place. Since it is not too bad that the shelf life is rather small. I am glad that I have not 'overheard' the lady among the screamers after all!
