In a blind test, I would never have believed this was a fragrance from 2017. I find it to be very soapy. I usually like jasmine very much. It's probably because of the overall composition that I find it very animalic here. I think it is a successful reformulation, but with me this fragrance does not want to enter into a relationship. Too bad!

Megamare and Bitterfeld
Gee, where do I start? I've only been with Parfumo a few months. To date, I haven't rated a fragrance or written a statement.
This is not because I am here as a "peeping Tom", I have probably lacked courage so far. My nose is not yet so well-trained that I had the feeling that I had to add my mustard here. There are far more competent members here.
Now to Megamare ;
Before I participated in the sharing, I naturally looked at the evaluations and statements. It was clear to me that it would be a fragrance with rough edges. I was attracted by the idea of salt and aquatic in one fragrance. I just imagined a wonderful sea scent. First of all: I have perceived a lot of salt, but I cannot establish a connection to the sea.
The first and only sprayer and then a deja-vu.
It's the late 70's/early 80's. I am in the GDR, in the Chemieburg Bitterfeld (city in Saxony Anhalt). I sit with my parents in the car and we drive with a cake in the luggage to my sister.
We're passing through the industrial park. A huge chemical factory, a whole area with smoking chimneys, from which sometimes yellow, black or white clouds of smoke rise. It steams and hisses at every corner. The buildings, the street - everything is dull, grey and dirty. Closing the car windows does not make it any better. You cannot escape the smell. It goes through every crack, in every corner. Probably even a nose plug wouldn't have been able to do anything.
I feel nauseous, and hours later the smell still haunts me. It is everywhere - like Megamare - with a sillage of 10+++++. Even the cake absorbs it. It tasted like it smelled in Bitterfeld. And the shelf life is unbelievable. It already tends towards 12 ++++. We stayed overnight at my sister's and in the late afternoon of the next day we still had the smell in our nose. Well, I remembered all this after a sprayer Megamare.
I don't want to offend any perfume that likes this scent. Surely it has its supporters and fans rightly, otherwise it wouldn't be so highly rated. And fortunately every little nose feels differently
I am speaking here exclusively for myself and have consciously spoken in the text of smell and not of scent, because with scent I associate positive feelings. I felt Megamare quite badly. It caused me nausea and headaches.
