Grandma's lemon cake
The last time I bought something at Dolce & Gabbana, I received a small sample. I liked the bottle pictured on it, so I bought the fragrance a few days later at the airport. Once again, I didn't test the fragrance beforehand. I'm not sure why I do this, but so far it's worked every time.

When I tested the sample at home, I was totally surprised and a little taken aback. I immediately took the large bottle and sprayed the perfume on. Again, I was totally surprised because the scent seemed familiar. I closed my eyes briefly and thought about it: Grandma's lemon cake with sugar icing! There really is a 1:1 match here. I don't normally like the scent of lemon because it often reminds me of toilet cleaner. But it's completely different here. When you spray the fragrance on, you immediately smell lemon. But not sour or as you would imagine, but really sugary sweet. This scent doesn't last long, however, but is overshadowed by the vanilla. I really like it, because the citrusy scent is still very slightly perceptible in the background. The longevity and the sillage are great. The fragrance doesn't overwhelm you, but is very perceptible throughout the day. For me, Devotion is a very warm fragrance. I don't have a preference for the seasons in a perfume. I wear it when I feel like it. But for many people, Devotion would be more suited to winter, because it is a very elegant, very warm fragrance.

I am now hoping that I will be nibbled on with the help of Devotion, because some people like lemon cake. So I will definitely be wearing it in spring and summer. I just have to hope that the bees and wasps don't eat me..

Rose, rose, rose
As a self-confessed rose hater, I never expected to love a rose fragrance... Once again I was standing around at the airport looking for something to brighten my day and lighten my bank account. As always, I end up at the scents... like magic is involved. I always walk past scents that I immediately recognize as being a scent with roses in the foreground. I don't like the scent of roses, and never have. My nose led me to Tom Ford... a bottle of my favorite fragrance immediately landed in my basket. But the "new" fragrance "Café Rose" also smiled at me, I don't know why. Since the fragrance is relatively inexpensive for a Tom Ford fragrance, I thought, come on, what the heck, take it with you too. No sooner said than done. Of course, I bought the fragrance without knowing what it smelled like and knowing that I didn't like the scent of the rose. I was actually hoping that the scent of the coffee would be so strong that the rose would be more subtle.
When I arrived at my destination, I tested out the fragrance straight away and was more than speechless. I smelled rose, definitely and not in short supply. What strikes me immediately is that it is not the extremely penetrating scent of rose that I associate with the typical rose fragrance. It is a soft yet strong fragrance. My nose immediately recognizes patchouli and this is where I start to love the fragrance. I don't know why and I don't know exactly what is happening here, but I love this scent and this interaction so much. My daughter says I smell like grandma... But if this is what grandma smells like, then I'm happy. Really a very elegant, warm and loud scent for me. The roses are definitely there and also scream "here". At first, the fragrance really isn't quite mine, but a few minutes after applying it, my opinion changes immediately. I do miss the coffee a little though... it's there, but only very quietly. I think if there was a little more of the coffee scent, I would bathe in it.
The sillage is really great, the fragrance lasts an incredibly long time on skin, hair and clothes. I love this interplay of spicy, dark, floral, oriental, elegant... for me a fragrance that fits perfectly into the fall/winter.
I have to dress like a grandma quickly now so that I can wear this fragrance out loud...
I would never have expected to buy a fragrance that is bursting with roses. Maybe the child is right and I've reached a certain age where I only like fragrances like this... I'll wait and see how my buying behavior changes

Sensual in the sea
Once again, I have bought a fragrance without testing it first. I am right 99.9% of the time. This was also the case here, which of course makes me happy. Otherwise I would have had to give the perfume to my daughter... although no, she always helps herself now... maybe I need a safe.

I already have several Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances and have never been disappointed. When I read the fragrance description, I was a little worried because I don't like aquatic fragrances that much. But here it fits perfectly, as the aquatic scent is only very brief and very subtle. The fragrance itself is sweet and floral. At the beginning, I notice a slight salty sea breeze. However, this blends very quickly with the floral part. The lily scent is really very dominant, you have to like that. I love it, but the floral really masks this slightly aquatic scent. Perfect for me. In my eyes, it is a really successful fragrance, all the components harmonize extremely well with each other in my nose. The sillage is enormous and the fragrance lasts an incredibly long time on the skin, hair and clothes. I have been approached very often. Some find the fragrance fresh, some find it very sweet and floral. One of my friends clearly perceives the salty note. She smells salty caramel in the fragrance... so far my nose hasn't noticed anything. But fortunately, our noses are very different when it comes to olfaction.
Ultimately, I love heavy, sweet and floral fragrances very much, so this one fits super well into my collection.
I will be buying this fragrance again and again, that's for sure.

My Downfall
I think I've smelled and owned every scent by Mugler. For a long time I had my favorites: Alien in all its variations. Angel I never liked...it smells like laundry powder to me. Of course, being a frequent flyer, airports are my little downfall. Handbags, shoes, cosmetics, books.... Fragrances. I basically can't walk past any perfumery without entering it first. So it is every time at the airport...I went into the store with the intention of not buying anything. Of course. Absolutely clear. Not to buy anything. I have that intention all the time. All the time. So I was standing there amidst all the fragrances and bottles. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mugler. My eyes roamed over all the scents I knew... Alien: got it, Alien Fusion: got it Alien Flora Futura: got it, Angel: got it.... Moooment. Angel I have, but I don't like it because, as mentioned, it smells like washing powder. Aaaaabut what did my eagle eyes see there? Angel NOVA ?. And I thought, as a Mugler Circle follower, I knew what was going on. Nenenene, I knew nothing. As usual, I bought Angel Nova without poking my nose at the tester. Arriving at my destination, my suitcase didn't matter. I had to get the scent. And what can I say? I fell in love! This scent is unbelievably amazing. Sweet, fruity and soooo long lasting. The sillage speaks volumes and is not for people who have a rather good olfactory butt. Two spritzes of the elixir and everyone knows where I've been running. Everyone who smelled the scent on me immediately picked up on the scent of raspberry. Litchi followed fairly quickly, making the scent a bit of a smoothie. Then joined minimally by grandma's rose at the grave (may sound a little macabre, but that's how I imagine grandma's grave rose). I am a woman who hates the smell of roses in general. I don't understand people who like the scent of roses. But here it fits like a glove.... Fruity, slightly floral, for me the fragrance to seduce! The shelf life is incredibly long, but I know this from Mugler and would be disappointed if it were otherwise. Sprayed on in the morning, I still perceive the scent in the evening. Even the individual components are still perceptible, which I find absolutely super.
Well, through the Mugler Circle I now got a sample of Alien Goddess... you know what's going on tomorrow at the airport ?

Object of desire
For a long time now, I've been lurking around this bottle at airports. Not to be pigeonholed, I buy other fragrances, not this one, which puts a high heel bottle as a statement. I resist, refuse, and resist, all at the same time, so to speak. Now we have 2021 and several lockdowns behind and possibly ahead of us. What happens when woman is completely starved of shopping etc.? The internet is open, no sign of Lockdown. I click here, click there, fill the shopping cart here and there and press "order". Suddenly I landed once again on all these shops that sell fragrances, make-up etc.. Generally I prefer to buy offline, but as mentioned... the word with L... we can't see and hear it anymore. So off to the online fragrance shop and had a little look, clicked, added to the shopping cart... as if by magic, Good Girl, among others, ended up in the shopping cart. I was amazed and extremely surprised myself when the package finally arrived. I really did it!
The package arrived, I danced around the table, undressing as I did so.... with joy, of course. Took the package and opened it. That was a highlight. A small highlight, but a highlight nonetheless. Suddenly I had Good Girl in my hands. I have to confess that I don't like the bottle at all. It may be special, but somehow totally over the top. I can't even explain it. Anyway... the scent is the absolute bomb. I own a lot of fragrances and love to surprise or convince those around me with a scent. With the name "Good Girl", I thought that this fragrance will make me a good girl. But what was? Nix! So far, nothing has changed. But the bottle is not empty yet. Maybe it will still be something with the Good Girl ?
The fragrance is very complex. When spraying on immediately pulls the citrus scent in the nose. This is mixed with a floral bouquet which I like very much. Quickly joins the chocolate and the tonka bean. And right from there I am an absolute fan of Good Girl. Sexy, feminine, a little heavy. The sillage absolutely appeals to me: not too flashy but not too restrained either. Easily fills that little waiting room at the doctor's office. I love it!
Now I had to realize that all the resistance was pointless. I love the fragrance and will continue to use and repurchase. In the end, as always, it depends only on the inner values. The high heel I wear then but rather on my feet
