Morbid charm and love at second sight!
I never thought I'd like it either. Especially because it started quite differently with the two of us...

Only a year ago I found the scent horrible and did not understand when and why you want to wear such a scent. My evaluation and statement was accordingly. I have now adjusted the rating and replaced the statement with this comment.

It is really amazing again and again how the perception of scent and also the scent preferences change over time. Is it due to the large number of scents tested or to the maturation process of the scent receptors? I don't know, but I know that at one time I found vetiver, like neroli, anything but good.

In the end it was the fresh Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EdT (not EdP) that sparked my curiosity about vetiver and thanks to Kitho I was able to start a journey through the world of vetiver fragrances. During this trip I also stumbled upon the Encre Noir Sport again, which I suddenly liked more and more.

Like all Encre Noir, the sport has a "morbid charm", but at the same time it has a very nice freshness that makes it wearable for me, not only on bad weather days. For me the fragrance radiates masculine strength and self-confidence. But maybe it takes a certain self-confidence to wear this scent, because he is not necessarily a "Complementgetter" ;-)

I like to wear the scent in the office, especially when I am dressed in the dark. I could not imagine myself in warm temperatures, but especially in autumn/winter and on the cooler spring days one is best "dressed" with it.

It also easily lasts a working day and is well noticeable for the first few hours.
Here you really get a lot of performance for a very fair price.

This fragrance has shown me that from now on I will not only give bottlings several chances, but will also test them again and again over a longer period of time. Because sometimes good things take time ;-)

Well prepared for the warm seasons
Neroli and I were never friends. So I was all the more surprised when I received a sample of the Bvlgari Wood Neroli and I liked it. It took several weeks and tests until I gave in and finally put the fragrance on my wish list and a few days ago in my collection :-)

People keep saying he's like Bright Neroli. I can't confirm that. I also compared them directly. Sure, both are Neroli fragrances, but the Wood Neroli looks much more modern and fresh than any other Neroli fragrance I know.

I can only join Warilol "A modern take on Neroli" describes it perfectly!
That actually says it all :-)

What I like about the fragrance is its great freshness, the careful use of neroli and above all its durability and silage. For a Freshy, really outstanding. I can still perceive it after a day at work and even during the day the scent comes out again and again.

I am really looking forward to the intensive use in spring/summer and I can only recommend to give this great fragrance a chance.

The feel-good factor
When I got a bottling of this fragrance months ago, I found it "quite nice" - no more, but also no less. Besides, I couldn't understand why a man would want to buy something like that...

The more scents I have tested recently, the more my scent perception seems to have changed. Just a year ago, fragrances had to be primarily loud and eye-catching. Now I increasingly appreciate the fine tones of the perfume art. I can at least explain it to myself, because when I sprayed the rest of the bottling on my T-shirt two weeks ago, I suddenly liked what I smelled. Even more, I was enveloped by a fine cloud all day long in which I felt very comfortable

For me this fragrance is THE feel-good scent of my collection. The scent takes me in its arms, caresses my head and tells me "Everything will be fine!".

In my opinion, "Infusion d'Iris Cèdre" has many parallels to "L'Homme". It is only a little finer, purer and more powdery. But above all, I can perceive the infusion for hours, which comes to an end very quickly at "L'Homme". But I don't think it's the fragrance itself. With this fragrance it goes along with as already described by Shoork, I am downright may-blind.

What surprises me very positively for a rather gentle fragrance is the durability and sillage. Sprayed in the morning I can smell it on my clothes even in the evening.

I am not a master in describing fragrances based on their pyramid of scents. But it is also much more than the sum of its parts. Prada has been surprising me in a positive way lately. First with the "Luna Rossa Black" and now with this one (yes I know, the infusion is older ;-) ). Fragrances could not be more different and they also have a lot in common. For me they are the Yin & Yang of my collection.

My thanks in this context go to Benedict2019. Thanks to your deal, I couldn't think about it much longer and simply had to strike :-)

In the end it was Flaconi's fault
The Sauvages have been following me since 2015 when EdT was launched. I tested it, thought it was terrible, and I put a check mark behind it. I had a similar experience with EdP and perfume. From the point of view of a Sauvage fan, however, the two are sensible further developments.

This year, after I had been more involved with the world of fragrances, I wanted to know again and ordered one bottling each of EdT, EdP and perfume. Firstly, I wanted to experience the three in a direct comparison and secondly, I wanted to know again whether I perhaps didn't understand the scent properly at the time. There must be something to the hype ;-)

And yes, I was increasingly able to come to terms with the three candidates and also understand why they are so successful. However, it was still not enough for me to make a purchase. In the end they were not fresh enough for me

In the course of Christmas shopping, I was standing in the perfume department of a large Müller drugstore in December 2019 and had to realize in front of the shelf that I had already "worked off" most of the candidates from my watch list. At this very moment my eyes fell on the tinny sauvage and I thought to myself, well then it's your turn, I don't know you yet.

Already the spraying on was an "experience". That can sure can shoot the shit out of something.
When I left the miller I noticed again and again a fresh, very pleasant grapefruit note rising up. No question about it, in the further course of the day the Sauvage typical Ambrox will also go crazy. With the superimposed freshness I suddenly found it quite pleasant.

That same night, I ordered it. But it only happened so fast because Flaconi had 30 % ;-)
I really had my doubts, but I have worn it more often now and am always happy about the initial freshness, but also about everything that comes after.

Conclusion: One should not expect miracles here. Where Sauvage is written on it, there is also a lot of Amrox in it. But this freshness and the great grapefruit note have made Sauvage EdT for me refined and portable and I can only advise everyone to give the can a chance.

The best of both worlds
This fragrance has already been described here as a hermaphrodite from the Luna Rossa and L'Homme series and I can only underline that. What's more, for me he unites the best of both worlds.

I became aware of the scent through a sample. After spraying on the back of my hand I found myself sniffing it again and again. The game went on for hours and it always gave me a pleasant feeling. But I didn't find him so extraordinary?! I couldn't even say exactly what fascinated me.

It captivates by its simplicity and clarity, which takes without killing.
With Luna Rossa Black, Prada has created a fragrance that is sweet and gourmandig and at the same time powdery, clean and discreetly spicy. For me it is a "cleaner" gourmand who knows how to convince with style and elegance. He convinced me in any case and I can only advise you to take a test.

Conclusion: Luna Rossa Black is definitely "different" and this "otherness" must first be given some space and impartiality. However, this could turn out to be a win and a new jewel in the fragrance collection.

Durability: Even after more than 10 hours I can still perceive it discreetly.
Sillage: Is initially really good and then retreats to a level close to the body after 4-5 hours.
Bottle: Completely in black to match the name "Black". Haptically and optically a beautiful bottle with a good spray head. Only the simple plastic ring as spray head cover surprises a little.
