A new fragrance, an Éclat. That's the first thing that jumps into my eye when I enter the perfumery after my vacation.

How lovely! I'm thrilled, the Èclat d'Arpège EdP has graced my perfume collection for a few years now and continues to be one of my favorites. I love the fragrance and especially H&S, because just that often leaves much to be desired in other fragrances with me.

So I'm already quite excited when I spray the fragrance on the stick - should this be the beginning of a new, great love?
First pulls me clearly the dragon fruit in the nose, a fresh obstiger smell, with a slight lemon note. Lotus and jasmine round out the fragrance experience, which I would describe as a trip to the Japanese garden. Something new for me and my nose - interesting yes, but do I like it? Bad I find the fragrance by no means, but yet I am missing a certain something.

I want to like the fragrance so much, I had such high expectations. That's why I still give it a little time. But in the fragrance changes even after some time nix, for me no trace of vanilla, musk - anything that would give the fragrance a warm, softer touch, which I miss here so painfully. As it sits here now on this scent stick, it's too cool for me. Too much "sheer" I had probably expected starting from the name and bottle.

Also sprayed on the skin he can not convince me unfortunately, comes to the cool fragrance still a comparatively poor H&S added.
And so my joy over this new fragrance is lost. For me, he will never come close to his big sister.

A new Oscar de la Renta - pff, the fragrances are all beautiful, but in the end not mine, I think to myself. And yet a bottle laughs at me from the shelf, so noble and high quality, so very different from the dlR known to me.

I sniff it briefly, and wham! I am no longer in the perfumery of my confidence. No, I have arrived in heaven. It surrounds me a cloud, no, it takes me. So sweet, yet so elegant. That's how I imagine it in fragrance heaven.
A fragrance that you can not escape, that takes you along, in airy heights and unknown terrain.
There it looks like the bottle lets you guess: a golden shimmering landscape, elegant creatures hovering just above the ground and when they brush against you, a few bells ringing in the distance. And they leave behind that scent.

I open my eyes, which I instinctively closed when I first noticed this scent. I'm back in the perfumery, behind the shelf the last golden creature is making off, but its scent is still in the room. I look around, no one else seems to have made the trip, the bustle continues, but I've had my heaven moment.

It was beautiful, but I don't buy the scent, I don't even spray it on my skin. It's a little too much for me, a little too gold. And if I would buy it, this magic would be lost. This perfume is not for everyone, and especially not for every day. And I can't think of many women who would definitely like this fragrance. But I wish they would find it and wear it. Because secretly I also wish to pass someone someday, and smell this fragrance again!

PS: because of the comments that there is a similarity to Olympea, I did a direct comparison - you can feel the similarity immediately, yes. And yet this one has won the race for me quite clearly, in comparison he is much more lovely and cuddly and therefore for me the clear favorite.

It was a few years ago, and it was just before Christmas, that I met a young man who I liked right away. And he wore this fragrance.

This man was enveloped in such a masculine vanilla note that I had never smelled before. A pleasant sweetness combined with tart cardamom and pepper notes made their way into my nose, just as the man made his way into my heart.
Everything smelled so good, so new, and yet, like you've known this smell forever. For hours, the man and I got to know each other, and one thing never faded: that scent. It stayed there, all the time.

For others, this perfume may be average, interchangeable or simply nothing special. But even if this man now wears completely different fragrances, so remains with this one always the memory of that magical early days, back at Christmas, when everything was still so new and yet so familiar. For me, he will always be something very special

I'm standing in front of the perfume shelf, once again. I feel like I've outgrown the Daisy fragrances a bit. Somehow, though, they keep drawing me back in. Which one do I want to try today? Daisy Love Spring is the first one that smiles at me, so I spray it on a test stick. "Hm ne, way too sweet" I think to myself, and reach for the next Daisy scents. But somehow the others are nothing either.
So I reach for Daisy Love Spring again. I spray it on and immediately think "oh no, that might have been a mistake. So sweet I wanted it but no longer." - but can not be changed now, will be fine.

Fifteen minutes later, I'm sitting in the car. A scent of flowers and fig surrounds me, the gentle note of fig milk in the air. It smells so good, so pleasant and somehow homey too. I would love to drive on for hours just so I wouldn't have to leave this scent. But I'm home, so I get out.
Inside, I'm greeted by a dog sniffing me a little longer than usual and a "you smell nice" from the human roommate.
Even a few hours later, I'm still in the middle of my little scent paradise. It has already lost strength, but by my standards the scent is still very present.

In the evening I lie in bed - the typical sleeping position: the wrist under my head. A light spring scent penetrates my nose - I have a quiet night ahead of me!

I can not describe it at all, since I have worn this fragrance the first time, I think of him all the time.
From lemon and ginger I notice nothing, but all the more the floral notes and the musk. For me personally, the perfect fragrance for "every now and then".

I do not own it myself, because enough at home and also a little too heavy in the wallet. But if I pass a perfumery and see him, then he belongs to me for the day.
So I never get him over and he can bring me joy every now and then. He will probably remain my little affair for a long time!
