A very strange perfume
The name and advertising suggest something very sensual, seductive and intimate, at least that were my thoughts until i have tried it on my skin.
It starts as a very joyful and citrusy smell, a burst of clementines with a strong freesia note. I also smell a bit of vetiver. This is a "sparkling# chypre, not the heavy oakmoss chypre from the pre 90´s era. A bit too sharp in the beginning, but after 15 minutes starts to transform into something more subtle and softer. I begin to smell osmanthus and rose hip and still a lot of freesia. I would place the notes in following order: freesia, osmanthus, clementine, musk, vetyver and probably only then rose hip, then ylang ylang, sandalwood. By far my nose doesn´t detect any magnolia or orchid.

I think this is a bright and sunny fragrance mostly suitable for spring-autumn, but also good for summer. I have worn it during colder time of the year as well and i can say that the chypre character is very strong then.... I would say now that it acts like a fruity chypre during colder times, than fruity-flowery perfume with chypre undertones. The middle stage is all about vetiver and smells very classic and classy, but i really enjoy the drydown, when the chypre notes are not as pronounced and i smell more fruits and flowers. Truly complex perfume in sense of development.

Such a beauty!
I have not paid attention to this fragrance somehow and today stumbled upon it at the discounted shelf. The first thing that caught my eye was a patterned bottle. It is such an eye catcher in real life, so amazingly beautiful and fragile looking. But the scent itself is a nice one as well. It reminds me very much of a mix of Gucci Bloom Profumi (yellow bottle) and Bloom Nettare (the one with ginger in it). Since i really like those two perfumes i also liked LADT. So i guess instead of buying those 2 Guccis i will buy Nina Ricci instead, since it is just amazing scent in an amazing bottle. And while i still deeply love the original LADT and own many bottles of that, i can really appreciate this new flanker, which has nothing to do with the original, yet i can enjoy them both.

A cute little thing.
I have worn this perfume for some times already and the first thing i want to say: the bottle is really adorable. The most amazing thing about this perfume is actually the spray mechanism - it is like an aerosole (old time atomiseur) type of spray. It is just a most amazing thing! You have actually try it, to understand what i am talking about.
The scent itself i cannot say much rather than it smells just like a vintage Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani. As someone who´s first ever real perfume was ADG i understandably stan this one as well. They are very very similar (i am talking about the more creamier version of vintage scent, not the current formula they sell in duty free). I would say that this La Perla is like Acqua di Gio mixed with Chloe Innocenece, fresh, bit aquatic but less fruity, but very creamy. I normalyy never like anything related to violets, but this one i really like.
Perfect for the spring and it brings me back to 90´s perfume dreams.
Big like from me.

Very nice aquatic, but why such a name??
This perfume was released in the very end of the 20th century and i guess it was meant to represent the purity of the new era, that everyone was expecting. I remember the fashion collections at that time 1999/2000 were mostly influenced by space and everything space related. So i guess this perfume was an ode to new beginning. I do not know the notes but this smells very "cucumber-y". I guess it has aquatic notes, lotus and some flowers. Somehow it reminds me very much of a vintage "L´eau par Kenzo" when it was first released. Same purity and lightness. I normally do not like or wear aquatics at all, but this one is actually really really nice! Projection wise as well. I guess i will use it this summer, cause it gives me a feeling of being in a Spa, it has a smell of a mineral water. Nice surprise!
Update: i wore this today in the heatwave and i realized that it is actually a dupe for Ralph Lauren's "Polo woman" in a tall bottle. Released around the same time, i remember Polo was veeeeeery popular back then, so M&W released their version, i guess.

The ONE!
I cannot say much enough about how much i care and love this fragrance. Out of hundreds i own this is probably the only one that got me compliments from both men and women at any occasion i would wear it. Men would ask me about the name, so they could buy it for their spouses, women wondered what smells so opulent and nice.... If i would have to give up all of my perfumes but keep one, then this would be The One! I never want to run out of it and i will never stop buying it. To me this is one of the very few perfectly balance white florals that can be worn any season, any time of the day, any occasion and it would smell amazing. I am not that old enough to remember when it was launched and somehow back in the 90´s i overlooked it (was more into fresh aquatics and floral-fruities), and i only discovered it when it was discontinued and instantly fell in love. I love the smell of Hyacinth so that is why i love this fragrance so much cause to me it is the most dominant note in here. But in general it is so perfectly blended that i do not care about the notes, i just adore the scent itself overall. The EDP is the best, but fr summer i prefer the EDT as well, since it is less intense and more suitable for summer, but both are stunners!
Love, love, love!!!
