Soapy fresh orange peel
This smells exactly like orange peel! In the drydown it becomes a bit more soapy. It's a scent that's bound to put you in a good mood!

Orange Sanguine is pretty linear and I can't really make out the separate notes, but it smells very nice nonetheless (and that's all that really matters, right?). Just like with Frapin's L'Humaniste, this quickly becomes a skin scent on me. That's probably just how my skin works ... In any case, the longevity is not that great, about 4 to 5 hours. So just respray around noon and you're good to go!

Juniper cocktail
This is one of those fragrances where I instantly fell in love with it from the moment I smelled it on a paper strip.

To me it smells like a summer cocktail, even though I find it suitable to wear in winter/colder months as well because of its powderiness. I'd say it's a mojito but instead of lime and mint, it has lemon and juniper.

In the opening it starts out with lemon, juniper and booziness (so gin, apparently). The peppers (pink, black and cardamom) aren't harsh in the composition, but they do give it the extra kick. The scent quickly becomes slightly powdery (in a good way) due to the peony coming into play. When it dries down, the lemon takes a step back so you're left with a slightly powdery juniper cocktail.

The longevity on me is pretty nice. About 8 hours I'd say. The fragrance becomes a skin scent rather fast however, so the projection is not all that great. But that doesn't really bother me all that much :)

Great for all seasons and situations!
I won this fragrance during a game, so I might as well review it :) I found it hard to identify the notes, but then again it's a floral fragrance without jasmine and rose (which I can identify pretty easily), so that was to be expected.

In the opening this scent is a flower bomb! It's still weird to assign a colour to a scent, but I find this smells red. So red flowers basically. I think it's the orchid, but it might as well be the magnolia. I also notice a fruity touch, but once again my nose can't identify them. At first I thought it was strawberry, but that's most likely due to the red colour that I assigned to the scent, so my nose is playing tricks on me ...

During the drydown the fragrance becomes warmer thanks to the amber. After a very long time the sandalwood joins in as well, supporting the warmth given by the amber.

The perfume is quite overwhelming when freshly sprayed, but as time passes it becomes more subtle and closer to the skin. And also quite powdery, in a good way. It's a deliciously soft scent for ladies. Due to the fruity opening and warm base, this fragrance can be worn all year long in my opinion. I can easily see this as someone's signature scent!

smooth nectar
Mon Précieux Nectar is a scent that is amazingly soft and smooth! I like it, but for me it's too feminine. In fact I don't think it's unisex. Of course it's marketed towards women, but so are most (if not all) of the Guerlain Exclusifs. Spiritueuse Double Vanille and Tonka Imperiale can be worn by men, but this one (in my opinion) cannot.

Anyways, on to the smell of this lovely (woman's) perfume. In the opening I get an explosion of almond and vanilla. As time passes, more and more of the jasmine starts to show, and the orange blossom as well (although I smell far more jasmine than orange blossom). However, the vanilla and especially the almond remain strong throughout. Unfortunately I can't make out the rest of the notes, except MAYBE very slightly the incense. But it's very faint, I really have to look (or is it "sniff"?) for it...

The sillage and longevity are of course very good, as we're used to from the Guerlain Exclusif line. But since this is a soft and smooth scent, this perfume won't suffocate you when you "accidentally" spray too much of it. That's something I find pleasant about this scent as well, because some women I encounter do tend to go trigger happy on the spray ...

Also, the name is very well chosen, because when smelling the scent as a whole, I can totally imagine smelling nectar!

Cozy comfort vanilla
This fragrance gets compared to Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain a LOT. But I don't get the comparison at all...

The only thing I noticed is that they are both boozy vanilla scents. But Spiritueuse Double Vanille is a lot more creamy, and Eau des Missions is sharper/spicier and more smoky (at least to me). Creamy happens to match less with me :)

Strangely enough, I let a woman in my neighborhood try the sample I have of SDV, and on her I DID smell the similarity to EdM! Maybe because SDV is technically a woman's scent and EdM a unisex scent?

Anyways, Eau des Missions is an amazing cozy comfort scent to enjoy in the evening on the couch beneath a blanket. It's not a complex scent, what you get when it's freshly sprayed stays during the drydown.

For an EdC, this has an incredible longevity on my skin. I can still smell it 5 hours or more after applying it! And my clothes absorb the fragrance like mad!

P.S. I recently tried out Montale Vanille Absolu, and to me this is almost identical to Eau des Missions! Should I declare my nose insane? :p
