Peppery lavender
I tried this on a paper strip, and it smelled EXACTLY like Prada Luna Rossa! Then later on I tried it on my skin, and I got confused because the scent was a lot warmer than it was on the paper strip. It ressembled Eau des Baux (also by L'Occitane En Provence) more now.

And then once it dried down, it basically became a mix of both to me. So take Eau des Baux, remove the vanilla and incense to replace it with lavender, and that's pretty much what it smells like to me. The tonka bean and woodsy notes are still discernable.

This is a woman's fragrance??
I can't believe this is a scent meant only for ladies! I only found that out AFTER I bought a small bottle during my trip to Edinburgh. At the very least, it should be unisex.

But after asking around with colleagues, it seems I'm the only one who found this a masculine scent ... Oh well :)

It's a nice floral perfume that smells fresh and clean due to the added citrus. I'm having a really hard time telling the different notes apart, but what I THINK I'm smelling the most is the florals and the precious woods. And because it smells fresh and clean I obviously get the citruses as well, but they don't dominate the perfume.

I also find that it has an aftershave-y vibe ... but in a good way!

#1 compliment getter for me in cold weather
In the opening it's the cardamom that is most apparent to me. There's no vanilla at all yet.

After several minutes I start smelling incense with still a hint of the cardamom. On top of that, the vanilla starts to slowly show itself, until it dominates.

All in all, I find it a very lovely, warm scent. Ideal for the colder months. To me it also seems a bit ... creamy. Because of that, I had my doubts whether or not it was manly enough (because I don't wanna smell like a dessert). But it's just too delicious to resist :) Besides, after having tried it more often, I find it to smell a lot more manly now!!

Because of the vanilla and incense notes, it's comparable (at least for me) to Boss Orange for Men by Hugo Boss. But Boss Orange is more fresh and fruity, while Eau des Baux is warmer and also more spicy. On top of that, the vanilla is more apparent in Eau des Baux.

It's also a beast in terms of longevity and sillage, but I find that's the case with most warm scents.

Love it! One of my most complimented summer fragrances
This smells like a classic marine scent, but more ... green (a bit weird to allocate a colour to a scent, but oh well).

I'd describe it as kind of a "walk through a forest along the coast". The green leaves and the flower notes take care of that mostly. The smell of green apple is also clearly noticeable, especially in the beginning (making it smell a bit sweeter for a while). When drying down, the marine smell emerges.

So in short: a clean, fresh floral marine scent (hence "aquatic floral") with a touch of green apple. Just be careful when spraying, because it's a bit of a sharp scent (especially the opening). On top of that, the bottle sprays twice when you press it all the way down (at least that's what mine does), so extra care is needed.
