Absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews!

I got to know this fragrance a few weeks ago at a concert. I was standing in the queue to get in when I kept getting a whiff of an unfamiliar scent. I thought to myself: that must be the guy behind me who smells so good. So I simply asked him if he was wearing perfume. He replied in English that he only understood English and Spanish and had come all the way from Spain for the concert. So I asked him again in English and he told me the fragrance.
After the concert, I ordered this fragrance blind and have no regrets so far!

After spraying it on, it is quite synthetic. It's cool and metallic. I recognize blackcurrant. It has something of shower gel! But after a few minutes, a spiciness comes to the fore and the synthetic scent pleasantly rounds it off in the background. At the same time, however, this spiciness alternates with a woody scent. It's like mixing the pepper with the incense, but the two don't mix into one scent but alternate every few breaths. This is something that absolutely blows me away and is somehow new to the German nose. That's also why it's a perfect blend of designer and niche fragrance for me. The synthetic: designer, the unique spicy/woody/niche.

Longevity is around 6-7 hours and I don't even find it that close to the skin. My surroundings already notice the fragrance.

A great all-rounder for everyday wear or a special occasion!

The fragrance has convinced me to the maximum and stands out massively from the German fragrance trends (which I find meanwhile to vomit) a la Ombre Nomade, arabians Tonka and all the other overwhelming stuff!

Price/performance is also great.

Diptyque....I love yes the appearance of this manufacturer. The designs, the
Internet presence, the Instagram account are absolutely aesthetic and meet my taste to 101%. However, there is one problem for me and that is unfortunately the fragrances! I have ordered so many samples and absolutely every one reminds me of fragrances of the 80/90s, which I found as a child in the bathroom cabinet of my parents. Also, many scents seem floral and feminine. Not so with Tam Dao, at least that's what I thought for a while. Tested it a few weeks ago in a branch, of a luxury goods supplier. "Nice fragrance" I thought to myself and so I ordered a sample.

Full of anticipation, I sprayed the fragrance on me tonight. The prelude is like the first test: woody, dry and masculine. This dust-dry fragrance is absolutely what for me. Simple, but still very present. Unfortunately, however, Tam Dao developed today in a direction that again seems somehow feminine to me. The wood moved a bit into the background and a creamy sweetness mixed in. I absolutely did not perceive this in my first test. I've had a few sandalwood fragrances that naturally sprayed the typical creamy notes, but this one is particularly sweet. Maybe it's because of the temperatures, which were around 20 degrees again tonight. Has something of vanilla about it. The mix of soft wood and the sweetness doesn't smell bad, however, it just doesn't suit a strong man like me. Already almost feminine the scent on my skin and remained unchanged after this turnaround. Perhaps it is simply the beautiful designs that have influence on my expectation.

After 6 hours, the scent was unfortunately still perceptible, which is why I was glad to finally lie in the bath and wash it off.

I will definitely try the sample again times, maybe I like it at colder temperatures again as good as the first test.

I leave now times the fingers of Diptyque fragrances and look then but rather the beautiful designs.

I only ordered a sample of Lillipur because I miss the Dsquared Potion. In 2011, the Potion has accompanied me through the winter, until I have lost him at some point from the eye. Last year it came back to my mind, but unfortunately I had to realize that this fragrance is no longer produced. Through Parfumo I then learned that the Lillipur is supposed to be similar to the Potion and immediately ordered me a sample.

A few days ago we then had the first cool evening and I finally dared to apply this fragrance. 2-3 sprays, wooooooow the prelude is like Potion. I can't really describe the scent at all, it's a mix of herbal and sweet with the herbs predominating. Back with the Potion, my friends always said it reminded them of Jägermeister? Compared to the Potion, which keeps the note of the prelude for the entire duration, the Lillipur changes after a few minutes. The note from the prelude remains, but woody and spicy nuances mix in. Clearly, however, I perceive cinnamon and incense, which alternately push their way to the fore every now and then. It's sweet and you might think it's a gourmand scent, but the incense fights against the sweetness, so somehow the scent doesn't fall into the gourmand category. For me, the incense dominates and keeps all the other notes under it, which is not a bad thing but a really good thing. The incense ensures that it is not too sweet and not too spicy.

A really nice fragrance that doesn't quite measure up to my favorite at the time, the Potion.

However, I still have to think about whether I get me this winter the Lillipur as a new winter fragrance.

Man, what I was happy when the fragrance sample arrived. Rank 4 on Parfumo, that must be something special, I thought. The disillusionment came very quickly. NEROLI in your Face, grandpa says hello! Pretty quickly, however, spicy and sweet notes mix in. In this combination it is quite pleasant, but I can't smell the individual components. Neroli is for me clearly in the foreground, coated by the sweetness and spice.

I like him not bad, but I just do not warm up to him. On the one hand, the fragrance reminds me extremely of the "cheap" aftershave at my former 10€ hairdresser. On the other hand, I feel for such a fragrance with 28 but a little too young. Also, his reputation of the "mainstream fragrance" I can not join somehow.

I find it is a fragrance that not everyone can wear. Irgnedwie very oriental, a fragrance as made for the southern Adonis, who wears a bright white shirt and gelled hair. Even if I myself südländisch Aussehe, I just do not feel confident enough to wear such a fragrance.

Sillage and durability are top. 8 hours long I and my environment have perceived this fragrance.

Even if it is a not bad fragrance, friends we are unfortunately not!

This fragrance makes me feel emotional. It brings back memories of summer vacations I spent in my home country when I was in elementary school. Afternoon Swim smells for me not of the sea, but simply of everything that makes up a summer. Of the days at the lake with lots of sunscreen, of the scent that lingers in the air in the evening after scorching hot days. To my uncle, who came after a warm day from work and has made himself fresh with his Amber deodorant....man I miss these times!

The opening is fresh, citrusy and unspectacular. Pretty quickly, however, amber mixes in. This leads to the fact that one now particularly perceives the orange in the citrusy mixture. Sounds unspectacular, but it is not. Afternoon Swim seems so simple, but it is unique. Not synthetic and not comparable to the usual aquatic stuff. As time goes by, the citrusy nuances move clearly into the background and amber/ginger say "hello" once again. A heavenly composition.

A really nice fragrance that lasts about 6 hours on me. The sillage is average, but in rooms you perceive him very clearly. I was constantly addressed to my fragrance.

I'm looking forward to the summer.
